I have worked 4 days a week since dd was born 16 years ago. I take off Mondays. I work 32 hours and am paid hourly but over 30 hours is full time so I get full benefits. I like having a day to myself and get things done.

I worked a 9/80 at my last job. I enjoyed getting every other Friday off, but it seems a lot of other people, i.e. my doctors, dentist, etc also did not work on Fridays, so the idea of getting things done on my day off didn't always pan out. So taking that Wednesday off is probably a good idea.
For me personally, there's no way I would put in a 10 hour day. At my current job, I work the standard hours, but I live less than 2 miles away and it only leaves my son at home alone for about 15-30 minutes every day.
I do understand the commute though. It can really suck the life out of you, so the less you are in it, the better. I wish more companies supported telecommuting as an option even if it was only one day a week.

I work 3-11:30 Monday to Friday but the plan is 4 10's starting in March. I can't wait! We'll rotate, so we'll be working every third weekend, but I am so looking forward to having three full days off and also the chance to work more overtime.

I am really jealous of all of you 4 day a week employees. I wish I had that opportunity!

I love my schedule. I work 10 hours in the office on Monday, 10 hours at home on Tuesday, 10 hours each in the office on Weds and Thursday and I am off on Friday. I am blessed.

I work a compressed work week. I work 8:00 to 4:30 Monday, Tuesday, every other thursday, and Friday. I work 8:00 to 4:45 on Wednesdays. I have every other Thursday off.
I chose Thursdays to break up my week and because if I do have to go somewhere, it's generally less crowded than say a Friday would be.

I've never had a long commute and as much as I would like one day off every 2 weeks, I just can't work an extra hour each day for it. I work 9-5.

My office is fairly flexible. We are open 8 am to 5:30 pm and people can come in as early as 7:00 am. I work 7:00 am to 3:00 pm and am allowed to work 1/2 hour from home. I also have an hour commute which does suck. I prefer to get to work early, get it over with and get home and be with my family before it's dark and time for bed.
