Also, did she lose her hair? The doctor already told me I probably will, but I’m looking for someone to tell me I probably won’t. Our friend who just finished chemo for bowel cancer didn't lose his hair. He also didn't have any nausea. The only side effect he had was pain in his hands. Many years ago when my grandpa had chemo for lung cancer, he didn't lose his hair either. I'm hoping it's the same for you.

I ended up on dinner duty and grilled (and caught on fire) pork chops. I roasted green beans and asparagus and made mashed potatoes. It turned out well in spite of the fire. I’m making dessert to bring to karenlou ‘s house tomorrow. I’ll make Yorkshire pudding when the roast is out of the oven. Dd is making deviled eggs.

Hi there! Oh my gosh I am so tired! I made a cheesecake and cherry topping, a batch of frosted brownies -- half with Nuys and half without. And a carrot cake that I learned 2 things about as I was leveling the tops: the recipe (a mash up of 2 plus my own spin) is DELICIOUS, and it was NOT done in the middle! Asaaargh! I had already washed the pans even! But I prepped and lined them all over again, popped the layers back in upside down, wrapped them in foil and put them back in the oven. Fingers crossed they turn out okay! I still have to frost and decorate. And pack everything up. All this is for tomorrow. I will bake mac n cheese and do sriracha deviled eggs in the morning before taking pictures and getting out the door. Right now I have a ham and green beans in the oven and mashed potatoes ready for dinner in about 20 minutes. I am so looking forward to a shower and an early night! scrapmaven and cadoodlebug Lol about the 2 licorice camps! I do not enjoy red vines at all, so more for you, my friends. I could tear up a bag of twizzlers though...road trip or beach day. Sending blessings for both for jeremysgirl tomorrow. I confess I have had pre-made chex mix and I am also not a fan. I like making it so I can include more of the stuff I like (rice chex and nuts) and less of the stuff I don't (most of the other stuff. Esp pretzels). I like Swedish swimmers too! I do have a VW bug and love it. I got it about 7yrs ago and even though it was about 7yrs old then it only had 28k miles and in perfect condition. Essentially a new car! I have babies it and it still has low miles and I've never really had to have work done outside of brakes, tires, etc. Mine is cream. Nick and I would love to find a classic one to redo together. I've seen some very fun ones...a turquoise one with a surf board rack. And a crazy gorgeous pink one with rose floral motif...the girlish car you could imagine! But its been in the car magazines and everything. destined2bmom We do have a thermostat for ambient air but the lines coming out of the boiler are not marked, so we don't know which water lines feed which rooms or levels. We need a technician to come out and figure things out. The boiler is new, but the lines are not. So Nick doesn't want to fiddle around with it and possibly affect the pressure. He can fix about anything so if he isn't firing up youtube to get it done, I'll go with a pro. The crockpot is a good idea for baseball days. I often set it up or prep something easy for the days I teach. I've been queasy recently though so sometimes what sounds good in the am doesn't sound good in the afternoon. Especially if I have been smelling it all day from my office. One of our favorite crockpot meals is meatballs in brown gravy over mashed potatoes so that may be good for this week. Also taco meat is good to prep ahead...no slower than making a sandwich. 🌮😁

I love my creative memories albums. the ones from 30 yrs ago still look great.
my sister in law has been through chemo this past few months and didn't lose her hair.
china.. we have a set from when we married in the 1980's.. very plain, restrained. I still like them, but for holidays I use the set I inherited from my grandma.. they are 1920's.. have phoenixes and such and gold rims and look nice to me. I have almost 12 sets.. with lots of serving dishes. and i have two sets of sterling silver I use too. I have a bunch of sugar/milk sets and salt and pepper shakers that my grandmother hand painted in the 20's.
I spent the day with my Girl Scout alumnae friends. did a puzzle all afternoon and chitchated away.
dinner is still up in the air. I came home and took the dog for a walk. I don't feel like doing much so it may be a take out night.

We both decided our sandwiches were the best ever (they were great!) Then we had dessert and that was good too.

lucyg , not only did my mother not lose her hair, but it turned a gorgeous shade of Auburn, just as she had when she was young. Also, she didn't have any symptoms from the chemo and she was on a hefty cocktail, 5 days per week for her melanoma.

What is wrong with me? Absolutely everything hurts. I am not sick. I cannot even walk today there is pain behind my knee and the back of my thigh. This is crazy right? I didn’t get a lot of exercise yesterday or anything. I just ache. Dinner tonight will be the leftover ham, mac n cheese and my dad wants a tomato but I am going to broil cheese on top of my ham on bread. This weekend is a write off diet wise. The ham, though, is amazing. It’s huge but delicious. Yum! If it still is hurting, see your doctor pronto. Your symptoms sounds like my sister's blood clot. I'm totally convinced that covid and/or the vaccine has something to do with clots. The only person in my family that had a clot was my dad in 1965 when he was laid up with a broken hip. Covid and vacines come a long and 4 members of my family have/had a clot. Sister's was behind her knee, the other three were in the lung. Hope it gets better soon.

Oh my yeah I see my GP this week so I will tell her. It could be these Lululemon slides I bought are too squishy and they hurt my leg. I am getting rid of them even though I love them. I really love them. I have 2 pairs and they match all my clothes. Ugh. They are super confortable, too.
