My BIL was diagnosed and we have just learned the treatment plan. Immunotherapy every week for many weeks and then surgery in 18-23 weeks. Initially the thought it was in the stomach as well but now they don't think so.
They are meeting with a lawyer immediately as my BIL wants to make sure my sister has the settlement money that comes with this diagnosis.
Do you have any experience? Any good outcomes? Is there anything someone going through immunotherapy should have? They've told my sister that it's like chemo but not as bad. Everything online when you google is awful. The docs do give some hope as far as longevity goes as he has the best kind to get- if you're gonna get it. But it is still a terminal illness.
He's only 62 and hasn't even retired yet. If you feel so inclined- please send some PT and good juju!!

I don’t know anything about mesothelioma, but I’m sorry about his diagnosis. Hoping he has a decent treatment experience, and many more years of quality life ahead of him.

Im sorry that he has this diagnosis so young. My grandfather had it and has since passed from it. Make sure that they get in contact with lawyers who can help with the settlements. It is my understanding that many of the companies have gone under. My mother and her siblings still receive settlement money from time to time.

My sister just let me know that my BIL already has this rolling as he wants to make sure she is ok. The average settlement is quite large. I think that will give him some peace. Thanks for the responses

My FIL died from it after working with asbestos for years in the Navy. He got a large settlement which has helped my MIL maintain her lifestyle. My FIL wasn't able to keep up with his treatments and went downhill quickly. He was was in his 80's at the time and it took them months to figure out what was wrong. By the time they did he was stage 4. I'll say a prayer for your family.

He's been in manufacturing for over 40 years and they decided to do the MRI. They do say it's usually 40 years later that it's diagnosed. It's a shit diagnosis any way you look at it.
