Has anyone used the Color Me foundation make-up applicator from Ulta? If so, do you like it? If you don't like it, why? I'm interested, have coupons and points, but don't want to throw my money away, so input would be appreciated.

I've never heard of it, but after reading reviews, now I want one. Hopefully someone who knows will chime in.

I've never see that applicator before or know anyone who's used one.
I do swear by my great brushes. The next brush I want is the Bare Essentials foundation brush. I've heard some great reviews.
I use Tarte's bb cream and only use it on blemishes and areas of redness--some days it's two places, other days it's full coverage. I also use Yves St. Laurent Touche Eclat highlighting pen under my eyes and as a highlighter on my cheekbones. I use a brush to blend everything in.
I also use cream blush--NARS multiple in Orgasm and NARS matte blush stick--because my skin is so dry. The cream blends into my skin much better and looks more natural. Blending with a brush really makes a difference.
I think before I bought that applicator, that I'd try one of those egg shaped makeup "sponges" to see how I like the look compared to good brushes. If you like the way it blends, you'll probably like the applicator.
Another trick I use is to moisturize/apply sunscreen a few minutes before applying my foundation. Blending on smooth skin is much easier.
If Ulta has a good return policy like Sephora, I'd definitely try the applicator. I know Sephora lets you return anything for any reason. I've been on the fence about particular colours of blush, etc, and the staff has encouraged me to try the products and return them if they don't work out. They also give samples whenever possible.
My biggest concern is that if you need this device to blend in your foundation that you might be using the wrong foundation. Sephora has a camera/computer device that figures out your skin colour and gives you a list of products that are that exact shade. That's how I found the Tarte bb cream that I use. It blends completely in because it's the exact right colour.
I can also understand you wanting to get this applicator to give yourself more of an "airbrushed" look. I also have the Bare Essentials matte foundation that I sometimes blend over my bb cream to give myself a bit more of an airbrushed look.

I do have an egg shaped sponge coming in my Christmas order from Ulta - I settled for that for the time being. I already have great brushes that I bought when I was into Bare Minerals a few years back, including thr kabuki, and do use them. I don't wear Bare Minerals foundation any more, however, because it just accentuates the lines on my face (I'm 52) - I switched back to liquid foundation. I have dry skin, so that is better for me than powder. I think I have my shade correct - it is my dry skin and rosacea that makes foundation application tricky for me. I recently went to an event at the White House and paid to have my make-up professionally done for the first time since my wedding. It looked amazing and lasted a full 12 hours! I wanted to be able to duplicate that as needed myself. She didn't use an airbrush, but it looked that way. While Christmas shopping on Ulta's site, I saw this applicator and thought that it might help me achieve the same look. And who better to ask for REAL product reviews than the peas?

Would you use it daily? I had never heard of it, but followed the link that you posted. I'm cheap...it would tic me off to have to replace the sponge once a week! I would also be concerned that daily use would pack the foundation into my large pores. It sounds like we have different skin types, though.
Y'all let me know if you try it and like it. It might be great for special occasions, and I am a makeup hoarder anyway!

Ulta has a 60 day return policy, used or not. If you bring it home and don't like it, take it back ?

I think you'll like the egg sponge. Just make sure to get it fully wet and squeeze dry in a towel before use. I also have both dry and oily skin as well as rosacea. I use Tarte foundation (amazonion clay) and the small tube of concealer as well when I'm wanting full coverage. When I'm done with my eyes and any problem areas I hit my rosacea spots with the leftover concealer on the sponge and blend that in before going on to the foundation. I've found it covers my redness really well. I think it's a lot to do with the sponge. I bought the Tarte brush as well and didn't like the coverage. I usually need to touch up blemishes with a tiny concealer brush before setting it all still. I was considering an airbrush system when I decided to use the beauty blender instead. I also switched from Bare Minerals and I think I probably have ever brush they offered, some in duplicate because of QVC autoships for seasonal collections

It is good to hear that you have such great success with the sponge. I'll also look into the Tarte concealer. I hate how red I look in so many photos and need to spend more time on my make-up to conceal it better.
