Hi everyone! Well, we didn't end up going to the Women's Show yesterday ... got down to the location and the place was over run with families with small kids! There was some kind of other show going on for them and parking was a nightmare and the line to get in was huge! No thanks! We turned around and went for lunch at our fav restaurant I'm not good in crowds ... especially crowds of kids ... and definitely not since Covid ... teaching is bad enough. This is what I posted on Facebook today ... I have a ton of marking to do after I grab some groceries so I won't be relaxing much ... bummer! I hate Sunday nights! Dinner tonight will probably be something from Hello Fresh ... I don't know what I ordered ... it comes this afternoon so it will be a surprise! What are your plans today? What is on your menu? Have a relaxing Sunday everybody!

Hi leannec I know it's not the way you want to spend a Sunday but good on you for getting your marking done so you can walk away this week with a clean slate. You'll feel better once you get it done and your conscience will be clear so you can rest. I had a nice dinner with Chloe last night. Red Lobster was so packed though that we opted for Mexican. Still it was a good time. It has been just so nice spending time with her lately. **GypsyGirl** I was glad to read your post this morning. Hopefully your DHs pain will be under control and he'll be receiving at home soon. taylortroop I'm sure you are worried about your DH, I'm glad you have confidence though that this is best course of treatment. Continued prayers. I don't know what I'm going to do today. I picked up some watercolor paper yesterday and I am considering going down the street to photograph my neighbors beautiful spring flowers and then putting paint to paper in an attempt to paint them. I will finally make the half chicken with potatoes and broccoli tonight. And Jeremy is going to tackle our very overgrown lawn this morning.

**GypsyGirl** I was glad to read your post this morning. Hopefully your DHs pain will be under control and he'll be receiving at home soon. Just heard from DD. She is at the hospital this morning (I'll go after lunch). Last night was rough for him but she said he was in better spirits for him. They want to start weening him off the pain meds and he's not happy. She said they may wait until tomorrow to start that. He's also resisting walking due to the pain. He's got to get that behind him before he can come home. There is no way I can help him with that. If no one hears from me the rest of the week, he's driven me up the proverbial wall! taylortroop - I'm sorry that your DH will have to have the heart surgery instead of stents. What I have realized is that the long waits for treatment/surgery are the most stressful times for me. Once they have him in the OR and doing something, I start to relax a bit. This hospital has a great notification system set up where they text me exactly where he is and what step of the procedure they are in (moved to OR, doctor started procedure, kidney/tumor are removed, etc). Hopefully the hospital you use will have something like that because I found it so helpful. No clue what dinner will be, but after stepping on the scale and being up almost 3 lbs in a few days I know it will be healthy. No more chips, candy and cokes for me (my stress foods of choice)! Will most likely stop at the grocery on the way home from the hospital and get a salad. ETA: DD just texted that they got him up for a long walk and now he is sitting in a chair. Hopefully things are looking up for him!

Hi everyone! Enjoy your Sunday. Today is baseball for the kids. Until then I am working with my alcohol markers and coloring. I am stamping a bear from MFT and coloring it as different characters. So far I have done Pooh, Panda from We Bare Bears, and Mickey Mouse. I made Panda and Pooh last night and then made some tweaks. Trying to decide what I want to do next. I might try Rupert as he wears a scarf and my stamp has a scarf.
Dinner is left over pasta salad, left over fruit salad, and chicken wings in the AF.

**GypsyGirl**, walking is essential in order to clear the anesthesia out of his lungs. It's a very good step that he's walking and sitting up in a chair. His pain will hopefully diminish as the day goes on. I hope that you're able to get your rest, too. jeremysgirl, watercolor painting is so soothing. When I see something that screams "Paint me" I take a photo. I hope you get to paint today. Achoo! Thats' my day. I will likely watch baseball later. Go Team! It's also day 2 of cat mani/pedi day. One kitty had his done yesterday and the other kitty knows that he's next and is avoiding me. If anyone sees the little guy in the suitcase in my avatar, please pick him up. Dh has dough rising for pizza tonight.

She's a drama queen but she's fine. My other cat Jeremy must hold while I clip and then she runs away and pouts for a while. She's always bitter about getting her nails done.

I'm gonna beg my acupuncturist to fit me in tmw. Then I'll feel good.
Dh doesn't like to hold kitty while I trim and it takes forever. It's easier to do it by myself. If I catch them during a nap then it only takes 30 seconds.

Lazy Sunday here today. We woke up to rain, but it cleared by 10ish, so we didn’t get wet walking from the car to church. DS called us while we were helping with church set up, so we had a quick chat with Sophia and Lucia looked at us for a bit - she was more interested in her dinner than chatting. After lunch I went for a walk - rain still holding off - and I have been knitting since. I am nearly finished the back of my current sweater, but want to start knitting some summer tops, so I might switch when the back is done.
The week ahead looks fairly light at this stage. Just hoping my work colleague is recovered and I don’t get called into work.

Just got back from a long walk. It is definitely warm! Did I tell y'all we got a bunch of succulent cuttings from a friend? It hailed/snowed a week later and I was afraid we'd lose them. This is a picture yesterday of how they've grown. Today I'm going to try on every piece of clothing in my closet to see what needs to be donated. Dinner might be Sloppy Joe's.

I realised in the middle of dinner that I forgot to say what we are eating tonight! We had lamb fillets with a coffee/chipotle rub, cooked on the grill with bean salad and coleslaw.

Happy Sunday! We were so busy yesterday and I was beat by the tine we got home that I didn't have the energy to post...that's tired!
We had an Instagram-inspired day. I had seen videos of a huge thrift store in Aurora, IL, and a Korean bulgogi place on IG and we decided to take a little road trip and do both. The thrift store was fun...so much to look at. I picked up a few little things and we probably wouldn't make the drive to go back, but it was fun. Baby grand pianos, furniture, housewares...so much! The restaurant was tiny and packed and we considered going somewhere else. But it was Saturday and the hibachi places were booked up til later. Nick got a table, I got in line, placed our order and waited. Does anyone remember the thread on here a bit ago about the corn dogs? How the options were sausage, cheese or half cheese-half sausage, and the guy ordered cheese, and was surprised there was no dog in his corn dog? In Indiana at the fair, a corn dog always has a hot dog in it. Well I remembered and ordered accordingly! And it was DELICIOUS! Nick's wings were great. My bulgogi bowl was excellent, and the kimchi fries (sans kimchi) with cheese, spicy mayo and sour cream were fantastic! Everything was so good. The corn dog (the batter was so crispy...very different from the corn-doughiness that I would expect. Definitely crave-able. Now I understand!
We just finished brunch at home. French toast, bacon and fresh fruit. I think we are going to out our lasagna together tonight finally. Not sure if we will bake it tonight or just freeze it. I am getting ready to run a few errands. Nick was going to work on one of the cars while I was gone and then we'd finish errands together. It looks like it may rain though, so everything is up on the air. I'm going to keep working on laundry. We pinky-swore we'd get the Cologuard thing done and ready to send this weekend, so there is that. Honestly after reading the instructions I kind of want to do the regular colonoscopy! 😳
Time for regular maintenance...hair color, eyebrows, eyelashes, face threading, etc. So I will do that, and work on the dressing room/closet this afternoon. The bulk of it is dobe...Hung up and a lot of it changed over for spring...if it ever gets here!

Dinner tonight will be rechauffe cheesy potatoes, I will have a piece of salmon with mine, I think DH will have some rechauffe ham with his.
I worked last night, and it was a LONG shift...I never even had a phone call until 6:30 am. The Trauna pager did go off early on, like 1am....however a minor injury that didn't need surgical intervention. I swear they call a trauma alert for the most minor injuries...However the EMT's must have their own strict guidelines when transporting folks!! I did have a nap this morning, however didn't want to sleep to long as I need to sleep tonight. It has been raining all day...so even Miss Grace hasn't wanted to to out for her walk...I was hoping she would relent and I could get some fresh air...NO GO!!!

tmarschall sounds like a fun day yesterday with good food. I must say I like to think of myself as a busy person. But I am busy inside my house. Busy with crafts and exercise and baking. I have become something of a recluse lately and when I read your posts I'm like damn, that lady is on the go! Don't know if I'd be able to do it.

Today has been a busy day. I’ve finally finished laundry and put it all away. I need to make thank you cards for my employees. I got into my scrap room and started picking up and haven’t started one card. I have to have them all done by next Saturday so I need to get my butt in gear!
I am going to go thru my winter clothes and get rid of anything I didn’t wear. I need to get the closet back in order. It’s gotten out of control.
We had a nice evening yesterday just hanging out at DD’s house for a few hours.
Tonight we are having steak, potatoes and asparagus.
The best part of today is I don’t have to stress over the upcoming work week. I am not working this week!

I have become something of a recluse lately and when I read your posts I'm like damn, that lady is on the go! Don't know if I'd be able to do it. I know... since covid I have become a homebody, and during the week most of the day I am home alone. I like the quiet, even though I still miss Nick when he is at work. I moved here almost 5yrs ago and left all my people behind in Indianapolis. When things started opening up I actually became depressed and had anxiety because I knew the expectations would start again, esp with his family. Then the boys' sports seasons began, and we agreed to attend all we could, since those aren't forever and it was an uphill climb before his daughter began to welcome us together. On the weekends we like to take drives and find new places to explore and have a meal. It sounds like more than it is. But while I'd never wish for another covid Era, we did very well staying home together and enjoying the simple things. It's strange to see the pictures come up on Fb from 2-3 yrs ago, meals at home, etc. I love to eat out and missed that terribly. But I loved staying home and doing our hobbies, reading, cooking out on our own, etc. I was also really struggling with RA symptoms then. Now that I feel better I am happy to get out for a while.

For everyone not feeling well [IMG-1485.jpg](https://postimg.cc/R6jzLb6m) **GypsyGirl**… If DH still has trouble walking, they should offer in-home physical therapy and/or a temporary walker / wheelchair. I hope his pain decreases AND he doesn’t have to worry about his PCA being out of pain medication 😀

Hoping we hear from the surgeon tomorrow so we can make some plans and figure things out. The sooner, the better to get this taken care of suits me fine.
Supper was leftover roast beef, potatoes, carrots, asparagus and salad.

I have a ton of marking to do Every time I've thought to myself over the years "Oh, I think I'd like to be a teacher," I remember that y'all have to do marking and write reports, (not to mention deal with parents) and quickly put that idea to rest! It's Monday morning here, but it's not a bad Monday at all. We have a public holiday tomorrow for Anzac Day, so I feel very relaxed. Work will most likely be quiet, because a lot of customers will have taken the extra day off today to make it a four day weekend. Also, I have booked myself a massage tomorrow and I can't wait. Dinner was pineapple fried rice and Korean chicken.

Hi we had a great day. Dinner was chicken cordon bleu, broccoli and coleslaw. Someone needed Girl Guide cookies and Tim Tams. (I bought the TimTans) and he is very happy. He is very stressed because he has serious health drama coming up. I am feeding him whatever he wants to eat and I am buying him treats, too. It’s not ideal because it would be better if he lost weight but I am making everything he wants.
