I just finished listening to this week's Serial podcast - episode 11 - "Rumors". It was really interesting.
At the end of the show she said that next week will be the last episode. (sad face) I really don't think there is going to be anything that proves or disproves whether he's guilty; it's just been an interesting story to listen to.
I will be mighty sad if there is a long lull in the action before they come back with Season 2!

I guess I was hopeful, in the beginning, that they would find the magic bullet that either exonerates him or proves that he did it. I suppose I even thought in the beginning that that must be the reason why they're doing the show, because they have unearthed some really compelling evidence.
It's only in the last few weeks that I really got the sense that they are just making it up as they go along, and did not begin with the ending in mind.
On the one hand, that has made for some effective storytelling, because it really feels like we have learned the facts right along with the show host.
On the other hand, I expect the ending to be anticlimactic.

I have just learned about this podcast in the last week, and I've binge-listened to all of the episodes since Sunday. (Actually, I just discovered podcasts in the last week... ). I listed to this episode in the car on the way to work this morning. Now I have to wait a whole week for another episode. I wonder what the topic will be for the next season of Serial, and when it will be available. SPOILERS.... I didn't care for this episode until the very end, when she was talking about the letter she received from Adnan. Some of the perspectives Adnan has developed since being in prison regarding how he must interact with others and learning that he has been able to find peace of mind in prison that he lost during his trial gave me some interesting food for thought, things I never would have thought about. As far as his guilt-- I don't know. I'm on the fence, with a slight lean in Adnan's favor. The lack of physical evidence and the unreliability of Jay's many stories is of concern to me. The timeline of it all just doesn't make sense.

So let's suppose it wasn't Adnan who did it. What would Jay stand to gain from framing him like that? I guess that's what I keep coming back to - why would he lie?

I still lean towards Adnan didn't do it. Maybe Stephanie did it and Jay helped her cover up. Whoever did it, there just shouldn't have been enough evidence to convict Adnan.
