I forget what I ordered! Lol. Because I can order whatever I want *whenever* I want I tend to buy stuff when I think of it. So I'm buying Christmas gifts now and the UPS truck just arrived. Dropped off an odd-looking package, not in the usual Amazon box but in more of a "pouch" type thing. I'm thinking "what the HECK did I order?" lol. Turns out to be a "Walking Dead" page-a-day trivia calendar I got for dh, the huge Walking Dead fan. Mystery packages arriving every day. Love it. And, how WONDERFUL is it to do my shopping from home, in my comfy baggy sweat pants and a cup of coffee? And besides all that, would I have even found a Walking Dead page-a-day trivia calendar in the stores? Probably not, because I didn't even know it existed. It would have to be total luck that I happened to be at the book store and happened to look at that table and it happened not to be sold out. Amazon Prime

I totally agree. I just added my mom to my prime and she is already going crazy. I had put items for DS on a wish list and she ordered them and sent them directly to me. I think she feels like she has gone to heaven. Between what I order at 3 am when I can't sleep and her ordering, I should be getting surprises right up to Christmas eve!

Mine's due for renewal soon but I am getting it again. With DD going off to college this summer, it will come in very handy to send her stuff. She's going to a place that doesn't have much shopping so I can send her stuff from Prime and she'll have it quickly.

I know I have used it more than I thought it would. I find things much cheaper. I did almost all of my Christmas stuff on Amazon. I did forget one of the packages a few days ago. I had ordered a BigBang item for DH. We weren't sure when it came - if it was something he had ordered or I had ordered. I remembered what it was before he had a chance to open. LOL

I have Prime now and while I do love getting things so quickly, it is frustrating that almost everything I order, I could get cheaper if I went with one of the other sellers and waited for them to ship to me. I am not sure that Prime is that great of a deal. I could probably come out cheaper by buying the exact item at the cheaper price and paying to upgrade the shipping.

Every once and while it's not me shopping....yesterday the nice man in the brown shorts rang the door bell and left a manilla packing envelope. What weird thing did I oreder now? Not me, DH ordered an air filter for our grandson's quad. Kind of a bizarre item to order from Amazon, don't ya think?

I find that many things I can save money by waiting a few extra days for delivery. I've not found anything that important I couldn't wait a couple of days.
If I can, I prefer to shop local and get out and interact with people. Not sure if I will be renewing.

My problem with Amazon is that they don't have a way to block order so that the rest of the family can't see what you bought. I know what I am getting for Christmas thank you very much. Jen

Whenever I place an order I keep the confirmation email until I receive my full order. Otherwise I would never be able to remember what I ordered.

Oh! Great idea op! I'm going to have to get that calendar! My problem with Amazon is that they don't have a way to block order so that the rest of the family can't see what you bought. I know what I am getting for Christmas thank you very much. Jen I was just talking about this with dh. I'm about to order stuff, and didn't want him seeing any of it.

I have just accepted a free months trial and am interested to see whether I feel it is worth paying for. I probably would only get my money's worth at times like Christmas as I can't afford to shop for random stuff all year round.
( I have put a reminder on my phone to cancel it so I don't get caught out!)

Jen That's odd because none of my family sees what I order. Do you all use the same email address? My dd just said she thinks it's because the log-in is with a different email address, so she can't log on through mine (since also she doesn't know my password). But she's still on my Amazon Prime account.

I know what Amazon Prime is. Does anyone know why I have it attached to my account? I ordered something yesterday from Amazon.ca and it showed up today because I have Amazon Prime. I didn't pay for it yet it is there. Did anyone get it for free for a while?

Me, too! Funny story. I got three packages last month and couldn't remember ordering anything. Like you, I thought I must have and forgot. I tore open the first one and there's all sorts of ammunition in it. And yes, for a second I thought "I ordered ammunition?" HA HA HA. No gun. I looked at the address and saw they were meant for my neighbor. And even though I knew it was gun-related, I was sad the packages weren't for me!!

I don't mean they get e-mailed I am talking about the view open order button under my account. Whatever my DH orders I can see there and what ever I order he can see. Luckily none of my kids have figured it out. jen

Thanks for mentioning the Walking Dead calendar; I'm getting it for dh. Regarding the price, I did a quick check and only found it cheaper ($9.99 versus $13.49) at Walmart, and I won't shop at Wally Mart.
DH, dd and I all have separate Amazon accounts with different e-mail addys, but we share one Prime account (we're all in the same household).
And OP, like you, I frequently forget what I ordered!

Each account goes to a separate email address. We also have our own computers. I would be so upset if he saw what I as ordering or the other way around I want to be surprised.

I'm sure I'm not explaining that well but ds and I looked at his screen and there's nowhere where he can see my orders. (I tested it with him because I have no orders for him, at the moment anyway. lol)

DH, dd and I all have separate Amazon accounts with different e-mail addys, but we share one Prime account (we're all in the same household). And OP, like you, I frequently forget what I ordered! Yes, sometimes things are a bit cheaper elsewhere. But it would have to be REALLY worth it to me, to get me out in all that holiday madness. In the example of the calendar that's a $3.50 difference. For that $3.50 I would have to get in the car and drive through our awful traffic. Then I'd have to find a place to park -- difficult if I went at peak time, which I'd have to do because I'm working every day for a few weeks. Then I'd have to go in the store and wander around chaos (if we're talking about Walmart) till I found the calendars, then stand in line. Then get back to my car which probably I've forgotten exactly where I parked it, and drive back home in the awful traffic. Given where the closest Walmart is to my house all of that would take me at least an hour and a half, maybe two hours if traffic was bad. Oh and don't forget the gas I'd use to do all that driving. All of that is NOT worth $3.50 to me. Yay for Amazon! lol.

Another Amazon Prime lover here! Ds (6th grade) has a project due for Social Studies next week and he's making a model of the Nile River in ancient Egypt. DH, DS and I were discussing his project last night and we decided rather than trying to make stuff like the pyramids and the sphinx, we looked on Amazon and found these models. DS plans on doing the project on Sunday. For less than $15 we'll have them on Saturday. I'm not even sure we'd have been able to find those in store anywhere.

I have my own account with Prime and this year added both my mom and BF to the Prime account. They are thrilled. I can't see their stuff since they have separate Amazon accounts. You can add a household member to Prime without sharing accounts.
