Good morning.
Thank you for coming to my pity party yesterday. I am in a much better head space today. Apart from one video appt. it's a quiet day. I'll do my walk and then go to the store. I want to get into my scrap room and work on labels for a set of jars that I bought for the kitchen.
Dinner is lamb chops tater tots and a veggie, per dh's request.
What's on your menu?
lucyg, how are you feeling today? I hope that you have some energy and will be able to enjoy your day.
sueg, how are you feeling? Did the soreness disappear?
What's everyone's plan for today?
May today bring smiles to everyone.

Good Morning! I am glad you are doing better today scrapmaven. I want to get in my scrap room as well but I have a hard time doing it when the weather is so nice. I am at work. I'm not going to say working because I am not in the mood. Had a client first thing this morning and it was not a pleasant appointment. Get thru a conference call in a few hours then I am leaving for the day. Going to a grandsons baseball game tonight. Not sure what I will fix for dinner after the game. Have a fabulous day everyone!

I don't have any solid plans today ... I have a load in the washer right now ... Need to go pick up a few groceries ... Might go for coffee with a guy ... Or might see him this evening ... I just play my life by ear right now! Dinner will be something from Hello Fresh!

Good evening. scrapmaven - I decided to take a couple of tylenol before bed last night, to head off any problems, and I slept solidly. This morning I was able to replace the bulky dressing the doctor put on yesterday with a simple waterproof sticking plaster. And that feels much better. I’m still a bit achey, but it’s not too bad. I had deliberately planned an easy day for today, jus tin case I had any after effects, but it turned out to not really be necessary.I went out early to do my errands - grocery shopping and getting some keys cut to leave with my cleaner while I’m away. Apart from that, I’ve watched a scrapbook video and done some knitting. I am on a tight deadline now to get my current sweater finished before I leave for Australia in two weeks. DH has gone to Sweden again until the end of the week, so I am back to one person dinner plans. Tonight I am making a that green chicken curry with rice.

sueg, how exciting that you get to go see your sweet little besties. Will the dinosaur trip be just Oma and Sophia or will Lucia join you? Grandmothers are very special and you are one of the very special ones. leannec, enjoy coffee. Is this the guy who had to postpone the other night?

The dinosaurs 🦕 will just be Sophia and me - in Sophia’s words ‘Luci is just too little Oma’. As DS is at home full time with Lucia at the moment, I will have lots of time with her at their house. Maybe a trip to the park as well.

Sophia is very grown up. She's a little lady. Silly me.
Just read the last few posts from yesterday's thread. leannec, my shoes could beat up your shoes, but my purses need their own room.
don what did you decide to do about your cabinets? Dh is going to reface ours and then we'll hire someone to do the backsplash and counters.

Happy Tuesday! I swear a whole week of beautiful weather has me giddy. We just don't get nice long stretches of sunny 70° weather, it seems. I think it is supposed to cool down a bit tomorrow but no rain, so I'll take it!
I have laundry going, and still bringing up more deck cushions. I've been successful in locating some summer clothes and 1 of 2 items I've been searching for like a lunatic. I'm still chipping away at clutter...the kitchen is today's focus. Will someone ask my husband to claim his clutter from the dining room table, please? Because I have asked and I have done my side. Although...he doe so much I can't really be mad. It's just that while he is more of a clutter bug than I am, I have way too much stuff too. And I seem to be the only thing standing between the clutter and us drowning in it. It's not super terrible...not hoarding level or anything, but it seriously contributes to my anxiety. It makes me feel like the walls already closing in. I can't believe this is ANOTHER year we did not get our act together for the city-wide yard sale. We need to have one and then commit to donating whatever doesn't sell THAT DAY.
Okay, that was a distraction. Today's plan, clutter. More laundry. I have roasted a bunch of eggplant to make babaganoush (wish me luck, I never have gotten it just right but I'm going to try again!). Reposition the deck furniture (if I can do it myself) to face the lake. (We hung 2 shade sails out there last night and it is so nice). Possibly take the party lights down and reposition them. Water flowers. That's probably plenty!
We are having the last of the polish sausage with a low carb buns for dinner. I will grill the last of the asparagus and we may or may not add a salad. We have made a package of 6 last 3 meals for 2 people. I know that probably seems normal but in the past we could have had 2 a apiece on buns and then maybe even eat another without. We're not perfect, but our changes are sticking. My new meds are helping and the side effects have calmed down. I increase the dose tomorrow, so we'll see how things go.
Hope everyone has a great day. Good luck on your date, @leanne. You have a great attitude about a process that can be pretty defeating at times. Take care!

tmarschall I will join you in a bit of decluttering today. I will be tidying up my house. In my case the most annoying area is the back counter of my kitchen. Everyone's junk gets piled up there and I'm constantly uncluttering it. I want my kitchen to look staged. Boxes and envelopes aren't the definition are staging. I'll sing it from the rooftop w/you. Ods still has a pile of stuff in my living room that he was supposed to take w/him months ago. Now he has to move in August, so there's no point in making him take it now. Still, I have to try and make sense of our living room. We used it to stage all of the stuff from ods's room that dh remodeled. They say that you spend the first 50 years of your life accumulating stuff and the last 50 years getting rid of stuff. Man,is that ever true. I'm glad that your side effects are waning. If you're not sure about the dose increase just yet then call your doctor and get advice.

DH's MOH's surgery was this morning. He was up at 5 and left at 6:15 since he would hit some commute traffic. He insisted on driving himself because he didn't want me to have to wait for a potential 3-5 hours. Well, he got home at 8:10!! They got clear margins on the first try! He couldn't believe the co-pay was $15!! His surgeon was funny and she chatted the whole time with him. When he mentioned that they didn't numb his cheek when they did the biopsy, she was horrified! Dinner is up-in-the-air. I'll decide later.

cadoodlebug , your dh is in my prayers for a benign biopsy or at the very least that they got it all and he's fine. He drove himself? Brave guy. BTW-I dreamed about you last night. You were getting ready to go out w/friends for the evening, but you needed me to watch your dh's dinner, enchiladas in the oven and take them out for him when they were ready. I had a difficult time checking on them because you had put clams on them. Do not ask what I was dosed w/before bed. LOL.

Hi friends! It's a chicken and green bean casserole week here. DH is foregoing salads for a few weeks since the crunchy bits bother his teeth since he's got some temporary crowns on.
Speaking of DH... we're not super mushy kinda people. However, he made a comment this morning that was just the sweetest. I had dropped him off at work yesterday (we're a one-car household), as his supervisor was in town (she's permanently work from home) and he wanted me to meet her as well, because when else would I have the chance?
Whenever I go up to his work area with him, we always go around to see if anyone else is around for me to either say hi to or meet. His one coworker is always so nice and happy. Like, she sends emails to the team every morning that say "let's enjoy this beautiful day!" and what have you. She is genuinely one of the sweetest people. It's not a false front, she really loves working with him and their team.
She emailed him yesterday afternoon saying it was so nice to see me and I'm so kind. I joked with him this morning that she clearly hasn't heard my snide remarks (that of course only he hears).
And he was like, you're bar none, the kindest person I've ever met. I wouldn't have married you if you weren't.
Just when I thought I couldn't love him more than I already do... 🥰😭

Holy Cow what a morning! I answered the phone at 8 this morning and they asked my dad to come into angiography for some routine work. Omg it was unexpected. I had no idea this would be today. I just dropped him off and he is at the hospital waiting. I may go next door and wait. I don’t want to just sit here alone. I could take Dexter for a long walk. My brain is firing quickly on all cylinders. I am excited to have Father get this done but it’s so quick!

another lovely grey day. up early to clean up some stuff before the cleaning lady comes.. I ordered a bunch of stuff from rei for my dd in new zealand.. I don't give her presents as much as I give her mailing!!! it is so cheap to get stuff here and mail it to her. she and her wife are spending some of the money they inherited from my dad to go on a trek to base camp at Everest. so she is getting more outdoor gear. my dad would have been. happy. he was friends with the first american to climb everest, and had many other friends who were himalayan climbers.
for dinner.. still working to eat some stuff from the freezer.. so more orange chicken and rice for dinner with strawberries. dh is starting his drive south and will be home tomorrow.
I am so tired of walking the dog so I am glad he will be home. as some more of his friends are getting divorced, he thanks me all the time for the fact that we won't have to face that. still happy together after 40 yrs.
anyway, glad to hear all the good news and hugs for all those who need it.

A beautiful day here!
I changed over my closet to my summer clothes and put my winter stuff in totes. My closet is very small so I don’t have room to have all my clothes in there all the time. I do this every summer and winter and it’s a great chance to go thru my stuff. Anything that J didn’t wear that season goes into the donation pile.
My moms car battery is dead again so we need to go jump it and bring it back home to put it in the battery charger for a few hours.
DH sold our 1947 Willys Jeep a few weeks ago. The guy travelled a couple hours to see it and he bought it on the spot. He paid our asking price but said he couldn’t take it until he arranged a trailer to haul it home. Since he had the money, DH said it was no problem to leave it in our garage for a few more days. That was 3 weeks ago and we haven’t heard from the guy since. DH has tried calling, leaving messages and also sent him text messages. It’s like he’s disappeared. We are hoping he’s okay but have no idea how to contact him other than what we’ve done. Good thing is he paid for it so I guess if he doesn’t come get it, it’s his loss. It’s just so weird.
I’m meeting some former coworkers tonight for our monthly supper outing. Tonight it’s the letter “E”. We are eating at East Side Mario’s.

Happy Tuesday everyone! We are having baked chicken, mashed potatoes, macaroni and cheese for dinner. Busy helping my oldest grandson complete his end of year Science project. He had to make something space related, cost under $15 in supplies and has to set up a table, present then sell his items. This was a partner project but my grandson some how inherited most of the work I am so proud of him. He painted 12 pencils blue and 12 painted yellow and glued yellow triangles to them to make rockets, he painted 24.star shaped pencil sharpeners blue then splattered them with yellow and red glitter paint to look like space dust. He made all the table displays and their name tags. His partner is making the erasers. They are selling each item for a quarter.

You guys I am not calm. I am silently freaking out. I made my smoothie and it’s great but I am not doing well. It’s so early in the morning. I have people I can go sit with but they may want to feed me. BFF isn’t up yet. Other BFF sleeps until 1 pm so she is out too. I am just kind of nervous. I know this is routine but it’s still serious.

Still need to finish the babaganoush, keep going with laundry, drag out my sewing machine, drag books upstairs, and keep searching for the one short-sleeved black shrug I know I own. It has to be in our spare room we use for a closet/dressing room, probably fallen off a hanger and lost somewhere in the dark recesses. Good luck with your decluttering!

Dinner will be the chicken dish I made last week that was so yummy!!!
I have already been for my 1 mile dog walk, and my 4.25 mile walk with my DF.
Currently doing some prep stuff in the kitchen. I make a whole 30 breakfast casserole and divide it into individual servings so I have breakfast made of 12 days...it just came out of the oven, just waiting for it to cool. I have fruit cut up for lunches....and now I need to find something else to occupy my afternoon....I am thinking of putting my green bean seedlings in the ground..however nights have been going down into the 40's still, so I my wait another week.

Happy Tuesday dinner friends! scrapmaven I'm glad you're in a better frame of mind today. tmarschall Good luck with your decluttering. That's on my list too. our formal dining area has become the drop zone and I hate it! We emptied a storage unit out last week that we had since the tornado last year and finally said we'd had it long enough. Now there are items in the dining room that I would toss, but DH thinks we might use them "someday" one by one they go away when he's not here. He will never miss them. Thanks to everyone for your kind words and support yesterday with the DIL situation. We received a group text to all the grandparents about GS's award ceremony tomorrow morning, inviting us all and said she had just found out. So maybe by letting my feelings be know, things will be better, at least for a while. I've re-arranged my conference calls to be able to attend. :-) Dinner this evening is Salmon and roasted or sauteed greenbeans. I'm looking forward to it. @delta Dawn sending calm vibes to you and good news prayers for your dad. Wishing everyone a wonderful day!
