Ack! Two nights ago I had an episode of sleepwalking for the first time in my life! I know it happened because when I woke up I walked into my ensuite bathroom and right ahead of me a winter cardigan, on a hanger, was hung on the towel rack ... I had not put it there and it is certainly not the correct weather to be wearing it right now! To get to the bathroom you walk through my walk-in closet ... it has rails on both sides ... I turned around to exit the bathroom and on the left side of my closet I found the towel I use to dry my hair neatly draped over a hanger and hung on the rail. Now, when I first woke up my phone was on the floor and my glasses were at the end of the bed ... I just chalked that up to being over tired and falling asleep while being on the phone ... Obviously, more happened that night! So weird! The past couple of nights have been normal ... Have you ever had a sleep walking experience?

Yes!!! I found myself outside, naked in the front yard at the house one night. Then One night I made cinnamon buns in the night and brought the pan to bed with me to keep them warm for morning. Ambien…

I did years ago. One time I ended up in bed with my MIL! Another time I was searching in my dresser drawers for rubber gloves. And I dreamed once if I didn't open my window before the A/C kicked on, an alarm would go off and I woke up trying to open the window.

I did when I was about 5. We had just moved, and I needed to pee in the middle of the night. Apparently I slept walk to where the bathroom was in the old house. It was the wood burning fireplace in the new one. Thankfully it was just pee.
Only one I know of. My Mom told me the next morning. I have no memory of it.

Only once. Mine was also Ambien. I stopped taking it immediately because it freaked me out to suddenly wake up somewhere that you had no memory of walking to.

DH did once when he was a teen. His mum gleefully relates that he got up in the night while she was still up, and she watched him walk over to his own squash bag and wee into it before she could wake him up. The first he knew of this was in the morning, when he saw all his kit washed and hanging up to dry.
I have a vague recollection of opening my eyes in the dark to find myself at the top of the stairs, when I was still living with my parents. Freaked me out. I never did it again. It must be something about those teen years - hormone changes maybe?

My husband did one time. We had gone to bed and a while later I heard the water running and thought, what in the world. Why would he have gotten up to take another shower after going to bed? The water just kept running and running. Finnaly I called out, what in the world are you doing. No answer. So I thougt maybe he had slipped and knocked himself out, so I got up and looked. He was sitting in the tub with the water running. It was not plugged, so it was draining, thang goodness or it probably would have overflowed for as long as he was in there. I finally got him to go back to bed, but thought I was telling him tall stories when I mentioned it the next day.
My son did when he was about 5-6. I heard him get up to use the restroom. He didn't go back to bed for a really long time, so I called out to him to get back in bed. He said I can't, my penis won't go down. What the heck???!?!?!?!?!? lol He finally went back to bed, but denies he said what he said!
When son was about 20is he told me must have slept walked and I asked him how he knew and he told me the bag of chocoloate covered peanuts was on the coffee table in the downstairs family room and was empty. He said he must have ate the whole bag, but deosn't remember ever getting up to get it out of the pantry.

I did when I was younger, but I haven't in many years. More recently I have attached DH with a pillow in my sleep and I've yanked his pillow out from under his head. He was not happy, but I can't control what I do in my sleep. I also talk in my sleep regularly and have my entire life. One of my kids used to sleep walk and it was creepy. Like a little zombie coming to visit us in the night.

Have you started any new meds like Ambian or other sleeping aids? Any new mental health meds? (You don't have to answer here if you want that info to be private.) if so, call your doctor and let them know. If not, that's a very interesting thing to start doing. I wonder if it's brought on by stress?
I grew up w/a sleep walker and one of my sons used to sleep walk. It is very strange. In my sister's case we would just guide her back to bed and try not to wake her. The night before her driver's test she was driving an invisible VW bug through our house and she rear ended my dad who was on his way to bed. It was hilarious. She parked in the kitchen and if I do say so myself, she did a great parking job. That stopped when she went away to college, thank goodness. My son also outgrew it as an older teenager.

I am a conundrum to him! I wish I would do housework in my sleep because I certainly don't do it when I'm awake!

I never have, as far as I know. DS used to sleepwalk and talk in his sleep quite a bit when he was little.
One time when DD was about 8yo, a friend of hers from school had a sleepover at our house. Her friend woke up, got out of bed, walked through the lounge room where I was sitting, and opened the front door to go outside. I quickly jumped up and took her back to bed, and I was worried all night that she was going to do it again. When I mentioned it to her mum the next day, she said "Oh yes, she sleep walks all the time!" Um, you didn't think to mention that to me before she came for a sleepover?

I never have but one of DH’s high school friends would frequently get up in the middle of the night and sleep eat! His mom would get on his case in the morning because there would be an empty pack of cookies or chips and crumbs all over the livingroom floor and he had no recollection at all of eating the stuff.

I started when I was about 12 but haven't had an episode in about 20 years. Sleepwalking and unbelievably vivid dreams. I still have the dreams.

Had my sleep number bed not told me I got out of bed, I would not have known. I'm assuming I got up to pee but I have zero recollection of it. Either that, or I levitated for a few minutes LOL

I did only once. It was right after I had a miscarriage and I was really upset and not dealing with things well. I had been very, very upset before I went to bed and then woke up standing in my living room. I have no idea how I got there or what I was doing.
