I have food issues. It has gotten better with age. Part of it was limited food offerings as a child. Knew what was for dinner by the day of the week.
Will not eat salmon (too fishy) or beets (tastes like dirt). Olives. Tuna (the smell alone makes me gag).
Realized a few years ago that disliked foods just means I haven’t discovered the way I enjoy them being prepared.
Some foods I will only eat in things…peas, sour cream.

Coleslaw. I hate mayo-based things.
Carrots.
I am very picky about my sushi and only like a few rolls (mostly, spicy snow crab and shrimp tempura). I do NOT want to eat any raw slabs of fish. *gag*
Chicken legs. I despise chicken on a bone.
I'm also not the biggest ice cream person. I never go to Carvel for ice cream and the idea of a milkshake does nothing for me. Yuck.

EEEEEW! Totally agree. Even before I became vegetarian. Anything that lived in water! Thank you! No kind of seafood at all at all at all. I used to think seaweed was ok, but now, it just tastes fishy to me. Yuck.

BBQ potato chips and beer. I’ve never tried sushi but it does appeal to me at all.

In & Out— bad fries and the burgers are nasty and “animal style” make me think of rotting season for wild animals: unappealing for food description! If you order In-n-Out fries well done, they’re actually very good. I order my burger animal style, but I always have to stop first and think, and make sure I don’t say doggy style instead.

I haven't read, but I hate cilantro and peppermint.
I also dislike a lot of vegetables but I assume they aren't popular
I also don't like coffee, beer, or wine...

Look at next time you see a name brand offering that you haven't seen before--that usually means they will start selling their own version soon. Nothing suss about it, it's their business model and everyone profits, including those of us saving money. It's the same with store brands. My DH works in food packaging and can tell me most of the time where something was processed and packaged.

Store brands who use name brand food to sell as their store brands don’t knock off the design. It just weirds me out somehow.

I like pretty much everything you all have listed as things you don't like. Things I absolutely LOVE that you have mentioned: all seafood and fish, avocados, beets, asparagus, peppers (both hot and mild), spicy food, cottage cheese, all cheese, most herbs and spices, sushi, chocolate, olives, mango, mushrooms, curry, beer, coffee, squash, etc. Seriously, if you told me that I had to spend the rest of my life eating nothing but that list I'd be ecstatic. You all pretty much made a list of everything I love. The only two things that I can think of that I really dislike are raw carrots (I'm fine if they are cooked) and chewy candy. Now I'm hungry... I was going to say something similar. With the exception of seafood and a couple other items those listed in this thread are some of my favorites!

I'm a teacher that doesn't drink coffee. Similar--night shift RN who doesn't drink coffee. I have been gifted that trite "Coffee, Scrubs, and Rubber Gloves" cup AND mug. It's the nursing equivalent of Live Laugh Love. I just politely say thank you but mine really should say Diet Coke.

I find Sweet Tea absolutely disgusting. I used to order unsweetened tea a lot but eventually stopped because I would constantly get served sweet and gag! In Texas not loving sweet tea is a sin to most.

I agree. Not only do they taste weird to me, but the resulting blackness in my teeth just drives me nuts. I do buy them at Christmas time because my husband and sons love the Oreo Balls (crushed with cream cheese, rolled into a ball, and dipped in chocolate). I cannot eat them though. Too, too sweet and just don't like the Oreo flavor.

In Texas not loving sweet tea is a sin to most. I hate when I accidentally get served Sweet Tea instead of unsweetened. I take that first sip and just want to spit it all out! We took a trip to Georgia once, and I had the hardest time finding unsweetened tea. Thankfully out this way, unsweetened tea is easy to find.
