I am struggling big time with drinking water. It's just so bland to me.
The Dr and ANP I am seeing for weight loss management don't want me drinking too much Propel, Liquid IV, etc due to sodium levels. Don't drink tea or coffee. Don't like the taste of the liquid stuff either.
I at least lost 2 pounds this week. Still going to the Dr once a week. Seems like I do better when I know that I am seeing a certain one over the other two. Think it's because the other 2 are more abrasive and I don't respond well to that.

Try drinking sparkling water. I've always been a good water-drinker, and sparkling makes it more interesting IMHO. It's what I drink all day long.

Would it help you to add mint or other flavoring? If you can do club soda, I add flavored vinegars to mine. I know, it sounds totally weird but it's actually really good and refreshing. And honestly, I find that once you get used to plain water, it becomes something you crave.

I have to have it cold. Like cooled in the refrigerator and then over ice. It just tastes better to me that way.

For me, it's just something I have to force myself to do. I set a goal to loosely adhere to a schedule. I drink half of my water jug with breakfast, then the rest by lunch. Then I drink the another full jug of water by dinner time and then I fix one for when I go to bed. I do allow myself to have 2 diet cokes a day. Also, I do put in a packet of collagen powder (glotrition) for my first jug, which really has a nice flavor. The rest of the day is just plain. I think the key is to have water nearby at all times.

I too was always a reluctant water drinker. But this past year I decided to finally listen to all the advice regarding how important hydration is to all our bodies’ systems. Invest in a water bottle that you love. I purchased this Hydroflask and it has really helped increase my water intake. I like that is has a straw, the water stays very cold, and it fits in my car beverage holder. I didn’t love spending $45+, but I look at it as an investment in my health.

Water is all I have had to drink since 2017. I like it room temperature, keep my water bottle with me at all times and drink throughout the day. It's just a good habit to form. I also pee a lot!

I drink half a glass of water every time I use the bathroom. That's at least 6 glasses a day right there

Try adding some fresh lemon as well as other fruits.
Set a timer. Try every hour to get up and walk and drink some water .. I know it is hard, but you need both, as do I!

Do you like drinking from a straw? I find I drink more that way.
Do you like herbal or fruit teas? I’ve been drinking Stash hibiscus tea this week, but I drink it about half strength. Just enough to get some flavor to my water. I brew it as sun tea, but it’s easy enough with a kettle. Don’t boil the water and only let it steep for 3-4 minutes if you make it that way. Otherwise it gets bitter.
Good job!

I have 8 large hydro flask bottles that I fill with ice and water every night and put in the fridge. Then I drink those the next day.

I have a squeeze of lemon or lime juice in my still water. I also drink a lot of flavoured sugar free seltzer and soda water with bitters.

I have 3 24oz. insulated water bottles that I fill in the morning (or the night before if I'm on top of things). I am drinking water now that's still cold from last night.
I also have 2 alarms set at 10am and 2pm on my iPhone that just say water. The alarms are silent so it doesn't make noise if I'm in a meeting or something.
I allow myself to put a flavor packet in one of the bottles if I want it, but the others are plain. I use TrueLemon lemonade packets....and my bottles are 24oz, so they are not as strong as they are meant to be.

I have to have it cold. Like cooled in the refrigerator and then over ice. It just tastes better to me that way. I have a large stainless steel container with a lid and straw that is rarely ever more than a foot away from me. I even keep it next to my bed during the night. I have my water prep down to a science. My favorite is to fill it part way with crushed ice. Then I hit the button for regular cubed ice, filling it almost to the top. And finally, add the cold water from the Brita dispenser that I keep on the coldest level of the refrigerator. The crushed ice melts just enough to travel up the straw like a slushy drink while the cubed ice keeps it colder longer. And I have to use a larger stainless straw as well. I have tried regular water from a glass and it just isn’t as appealing. Keeping my iced water close at hand, filling it multiple times a day has been the only thing that works for me. My mom absolutely hated drinking water. I mean really hated it. When she moved in with me she would ask for room temp, no ice. No wonder she hated drinking water! I forced her to try it my way. She admitted it made the water taste better the colder it was and the little bits of crushed ice that came up the straw once in a while surprised and delighted her. She became a convert, which pissed my sisters off because they had been forcing water on her when she lived with them and Mom hated it. Then Mom spends one week at my house and she’s craving more ice water! I bought her a setup like mine and she wouldn’t drink it any other way. I know some people put a squeeze of fresh lemon into their water to give it a bit of flavor. I think I would like that too, I just never remember to buy lemons.

I have a wooden muddler. I wash mojito mint then muddle it. You could use a spoon. We then add water and ice. Our Granddaughter loves it. You could wash up some lemon then roll on your counter to release flavours and slice two or three slices into a cup of ice water. Maybe also wash cucumber, slice and add to ice water.

I am in the same boat and I know that increased water intake means weight loss. It has worked for me before and I just need to get back on track.
I just ordered a glass bottle with koozie and an assortment of the flavors from waterdrop. I am hoping this will help me get back on track.

I can drink more when I use my insulated cup.. or stainless steel kind. Lots of ice and using a straw.. I don't like the flavored water either.. some days are better than others but as long as it is cold cold and in a good cup.. I tend to drink more.

I wasn't a water drinker either, but now I am. Here are my tips. First you need to find a water bottle you like and that is comfortable for you to hold and drink from. You may have to buy/try a few before you find one you like. Fill it up in the morning and take it everywhere with you. Try to have it completely finished by the time you go to bed. Do that for a few days, then try for 1.5 bottles for a few days, then 2 bottles, and so on. IMO when starting on a water regimen, you need to take it slow and let your body get used to the additional water you're drinking or you will be running to the bathroom all the time. I'm currently loving the ThermoFlask brand from Costco. They're stainless steel and it's dishwasher safe. It's good for hot or cold. (for winter hiking sometimes I like to take hot water) I did buy the straw add-on direct from ThermoFlask but didn't like it as well as the regular chug lid. ETA: They also have this brand at Amazon.

This is true for me.
I do keep a TermoFlask full of water with me all the time. I bought the three pack at Costco. I fill it 2-3 times a day and drink sparkling water with most of my meals. I love water...cold, with ice/without ice, room temp, flat or sparkling. We have excellent tap water which helps too.

I struggle with drinking enough water sometimes too. I drink at least 4 cups of coffee a day, and I keep a cup next to the coffee machine, and make myself drink one cup of water before each cup of coffee. That way I know I am getting at least one litre of water per day. You said you don't drink tea or coffee, so could you drink a cup of water before each meal maybe, or before doing some other regular task? Maybe when you go to the toilet like @breetheflea mentioned.
The other thing I do is put a squeeze of lemon or lime in my water. I love how fresh it tastes. I also use fruity flavoured tea infusions designed for cold water. And sometimes I drink sparkling water instead of still water, mainly in summer. And definitely with a squeeze of juice.

I drink a large glass of water when I’m getting ready in the morning. At work I would fill a water bottle and drink from it throughout the day.

Try all the tricks that everyone suggests. I have my preferences too for how I drink my water.
But also, some things we just have to "do." The bigger you make this mountain in your head, the harder it is to get over it. When you're drinking water, maybe focus your thoughts on all the benefits you're getting from it and not how bland it tastes. Tell yourself it's hydrating your skin, lubricating your joints, keeping your blood healthy, helping you digest your food. Focus on all the good it's doing to drown out (see what I did there - lol) your dislike of it.

I have a Pur filtration pitcher and I fill it with water and let it get ice cold. I drink at least half of a glass at a time. Mint, cucumbers and/ or lemon give water a nice flavor. But the main thing is to set your mind that you are just gonna do it. You can do it!

I got a 30 oz stainless insulated tumbler with a straw and it made a huge difference for me. Tons of ice with cold water from fridge. I refill it 7-8 times a day. It goes everywhere with me.

I have a Fitbit charge 5. It's set to remind me every hour to get in 250 steps. If I don't have the steps, I down a bunch of water and finish out the steps.

Try it different ways- icy cold, room temperature, warm, and hot. I love icy cold water, but will also drink room temperature in a pinch.
