When it comes to food, do not try to take anything from my plate ... I will have a conniption! I understand family style eating at restaurants though ... did you get enough of your fish? Yes, luckily the barramundi was huge - really too much for one person, but maybe not quite enough for four! When we go out with these particular friends we always choose one dish each to share, and make sure we have a good mix of chicken, pork, seafood, beef or lamb, and that everyone will like every dish. Then several entrees to share as well. I actually prefer to do it that way, because there's always so many dishes I want to try.

Good Evening! Just got home a little bit ago. DH niece had a birthday party for her son today. We decided we would go and take my in-laws. It is an hour and half drive and my father in law just can’t do that. It was a nice day but it was hard on my mother in law. Her memory was bad today and her balance was really off. It finally rained today! It poured where we were. Of course we get home and only have about 3/10’s of an inch. Better than nothing. Dinner is going. Waiting on the honey beer chicken kabobs to finish. Hope your day went well tmarschall.

scrappintoee yes that comic describes it but he likes the edges of the bed too especially if he can cut off our circulation in the process. But he is lovable. Today was a reading the book kind of day and then I did some berry picking armed with my rose gloves. The blackberries seem to wipe out the blueberry plants. They are quite aggressive in their growth. We are just snacking tonight. I made a sweet potato hash for a brunch meal with eggs and bacon and now I'm only in the mood to snack.

Darcy Collins, ((((HUGS)))). sueg, your visit sounds delightful. Little Sophia is so lucky to have her Oma by her side. I love that you were able to hand a tired, cranky Lucia back to her mommy and then go to bed for 11 hours. Grandmas have the best job. taylortroop, glad that the food was good, but what an unhappy wedding. I remember the wedding that dh and I attended for a cousin of his. The bride was absolutely gorgeous and had terrible morning sickness combined w/a horrible attitude. All of her wedding photos looked like American Gothic. When I told her that she was beautiful she snarled at me. Turns out it wasn't the morning sickness. She's just an unpleasant person. Anyway, we couldn't wait for the reception to end. People were just uncomfortable.

AussieMeg I wish dh would do the ordering to share thing but he hates anyone touching his food. Although my food is fair game. What a disappointing wedding taylortroop. What was everyone crying about during the speeches? We had family dinner for dh’s birthday. We used to do it every Sunday til we moved to the rental because it was so small. Now we have space. I made pork tenderloin with Brussels sprouts, baked beans & watermelon. Dd1 brought salad and rice crispy treats. Dd2 brought Boston cream pie. One of the only kinds of cake I don’t eat. It’s soggy & gross to me. Have fun car shopping scrapmaven. I avoid that like the plague. Your visit sounds really nice sueg.

And a belated Happy Bday to Mr. Destined2bdad destined2bmom Teddy---Did you end up getting your DH / friend to go to that art show yesterday? I hope so! I never got the Dunkin' Donuts I kept yammering on about the other day. I'd love to have one of their Boston cremes / Bavarian cremes right now! Darcy Collins ....(( hugs )) I keep checking back to see if tmarschall has updated.
