If I had £4.5m lying around, I would totally buy this house with it. It’s in a gorgeous part of Edinburgh, where I once lived as an impoverished student. XDH and I would often wander along some of the streets in the area, deciding which one we would buy once we were rich. 😄 House in Morningside

I LOVE LOVE everything about this home!! EVERYTHING. I'll take it with the furnishings. It is really nicely decorated. Some of these really expensive listings, the furnishings are not my style. I wondered if it was staged? But some of the rooms, like the little girls bedroom, look more like someone actually sleeps there.

Of course, once you get into multi-million pound properties, it may well be. 😄 But I’m pretty sure the furniture and furnishings will belong to the owners.

Beautiful home. I have a question. What is the difference between a drawing room and a sitting room? Is that what we in the states would call a living room and a family room?

Back in the day a drawing room was more formal, for when guests visited etc whereas a sitting room was for relaxing, for the family in the evening etc.

So, yes; our living room is your drawing room (I know that's silly, since we're not doing our regular living there), and your sitting room is our family room.

Gorgeous home. I LOVE how light and airy it is, modern but not out of place, it's just stunning. The only teeny gripe I have is the bathrooms are a little bland and I don't like the baths but I could sort that out before I move in.

I love it also. ...There are a lot of white walls and totally white kitchen, but it all looks inviting even though it is so white.

That is a lovely home and I could see myself living the gentile life there. The kitchen isn’t to my taste, but that could be fixed. The rest of it is just stunning. That playroom would be opened up more to become a fabulous sunroom.
oh, one can dream…

Okay, that’s it! Packing my bags and heading for the airport now!! I want to go to Scotland so badly, crediting the YouTube channel “Living the Skye Life” for this, and now I can have a beautiful home to move right into. Now to play the darn lottery!!

The house is beautiful.
The one thing that surprised me is that the wine cellar appears to be designed so that bottles are stored upright instead of on their sides. I’ve always heard it’s important to store wine on it’s side so that the cork stays moist.

I’ve always heard it’s important to store wine on it’s side so that the cork stays moist. You're right...there seems to be only one bottle in each cubby though so I wonder if they are 'display' and those frontages slide to reveal laying bottles behind or something like that.

There are not many real estate listing where I think, "I could move right in there, furnishings/staging and all." This one is PERFECT. A few minor things I'd change but simply lovely.

What a beautiful home. My dream if I ever get to live in England again is the Cornwall area. But that house sure would turn my head, if I had a couple million just laying around that is

I pretty sure I could cook some amazing meals in that kitchen. I would also be so productive looking out on that view in the study. I love it so much!
