Best. Show. Ever. We went to the Friday night KC show--video premiere, Taylor Lautner, oh my! And she sang Never Grow Up. The tears. Have fun! I went with my dd's (20 and 11) and that song hit me hard. DD's first year of college when she came home the first weekend it was hard when she left. When she got back to her place she called me and said the entire 30 minute drive back she was crying while listening to Never Grow Up. I didn't know that song until I watched her perform it last Friday. I was hoping for Back to December to be the surprise song because it was the only one left that I knew but I am glad it was Never Grow Up. Made the night even more special.

I would have absolutely bawled to Never Grow Up! I play it often when I'm missing my girl! I was hoping for Paper Rings, as it's one my favorites, but it's gone! My daughter is predicting one of the new vault tracks for Denver Crumbling Castles?!?! Can't wait for our show!!

It has been more fun than I thought it would leading up to Saturday.. It's true that everyone is just loving each other and being happy. I think I will be crying more than anything (cause I cry at everything) because I know how much fun the girls will have. My oldest had tickets to her last concert and she accidently double booked herself to Germany/France (with me).. didn't realize it. She had to give those tickets up then.. So this is for sure making up for it. oh girl I'm so excited and happy you are going and not your SIL. You need to be there! Wahhh...I'd cry too! I've seen the videos on TikTok and they are all so sweet and cute and make me tear up. Have THE BEST time making memories with your girls!

My daughter worked half a day so she could get glammed up with her friends. They sure put a lot of thought in their outfits. I'm not sure I've ever seen her so excited for this concert. TS has been playing non stop for the last month.

About 2 weeks ago my DD got a call from an old friend asking if she wanted to see TS with her, my DD jumped at the chance. We tried so hard to get tickets and she was crushed not to get any. I’ve seen her twice and she’s seen her 3 times. I wish I was going to but I am so happy that she has the opportunity to go. They are going to the Seattle show next weekend. I’m so excited for her and will live vicariously through her!
Have fun tomorrow and enjoy it!

OMG what a weekend. It's a lot for this old mom. It was AMAZING. That girl sure can perform. If you like her or not, she is one talented lady. We got to the parking lot about 1pm to tailgate. We set up our awing thing, put out our chairs and just relaxed. People watching mostly. I can't believe the amount of glitter I witnessed! The outfits that people were wearing were hilarious, head turning, amazing, unbelievable, head scratching (lol), and on and on. We got into the stadium around 5pm. It was like a mass frenzy of people. We did fine though.. just held hands when we needed to. We got the covenanted disco ball drink thing that oldest dd wanted. Of course I had to get that too. (So silly) My oldest made me and younger DD 'swag' bags. Unfortunately a lot of the stuff she ordered got stuck in another town. But she gave us each a see through purse, a portable fan, rain poncho, those earbud things someone said above, and she bought me THE blue crew sweatshirt that apparently everyone wants. The concert was nothing like I have ever experience and probably never will again. Between the show and the people into it was just jaw dropping. It will be interesting to compare this to my next concert next month (Billy Joel).. not that I can compare really, he will be great but the crowd is different ballgame.. more my age.. HA.. and probably can sit longer! Back to December was our surprise song.. I was SO happy with that. Driving in and out was easy.. I was shocked. No problems at all. We did have a parking pass. I heard Uber was charging over $200 to get back to where my town is. It was around $125 to get into Denver. So dumb. It took me ALLLLL day yesterday to recover.. I slept in till 10am which I NEVER do. Anyways, that is my recap. So glad we girls all went together and glad my kids want to do stuff with me.

So glad you had a good time.
Billy Joel was the first concert I ever saw at 16. I grew up across the street from a family of boys. One of their friends backed out so it was me and 5 boys.

OMG. I haven't listened to Never Grow up since my daughter was 18, she'll be 30 this month. And, my son, my little boy was only 9. OMG I am a pile of mush listening to that song again <3 So different! Laurie and WCD, so glad you had this experience with your daughters!
BTW- Unbeknownst to us, we were visiting Glendale, AZ the weekend of the first Era's show. We were unaware of why our group planner, who usually is AWESOME at booking hotels at the perfect intersection of value and glam for our group, booked us in a very vanilla, boring, old hotel, in a weird place, and we each paid about $400/night. We were expecting something totally different! Apparently, Swifties booked the entire city and surroundings up!
Also, our flight left our gate checked bags (yes, gate checked- I could see the plane!!) in LA, so I didn't have any (clean) clothes and I tried to take an Uber less than 4 miles and it was like $50 dollars. I couldn't believe it! That's when we found out about the concert.
I can't imagine the sheer force of the revenue her shows are bringing to these cities.

Saw Billy Joel in his first concert back in Madison Square Garden after the pandemic. Not a lot of sitting. It was amazing, but it might have been because NYC loved and missed their boy. It might be different in a different venue and city. But either way, he puts on an incredible show.

If I can stand most of TS concert I should be able to handle his concert.. lol I am really excited about this concert too.. My very first album was Glass Houses.
