For AI, I'm sick of being around other people by day 4 or 5.

We did 7 in Jamaica earlier this year with a 6 year old. We had a fantastic time, but were done by day 5. That being said....with a kiddo there weren't a lot of "offsite" places I was comfortable going. We only did 1 day "swim with the dolphin" trip. I wasn't going to take my kiddo on a 4 wheeler trip to a rum farm, but I would have done that as a kidless couple.

I've been on many 4 night/5 day all inclusives and I think they are too short. (they were free from my sisters employer) They really aren't 5 days since they count arrival and departure days. The earliest I've ever arrived was once at noon, and same for leaving. And that was rare. So depending on that you're only getting 3 days. I guess it would depend on where you're flying from. I would want at least a week knowing all that.

I think it would depend on how long your flight is. If you are on a direct flight of less than 3 hours, then maybe that short amount of time would be OK. We go to Jamaica (Negril) every year, and never do less than 10 days, but coming from Oregon we have no direct flights there and even with great flights spend at least a day of travel each way. We always have friends or family going at the same time too.
