Hi everyone! I'm going to be meeting my mum at Denny's for breakfast soon ... I am totally not hungry so might just have coffee. I'll invite her to come over for dinner after bingo ... my Hello Fresh box will be delivered today so we'll have something from that This is what I posted on Facebook today ... like my salads, I prefer my sandwiches to be made by someone else! What are your plans today? What is on your menu tonight? Have a relaxing Sunday everybody!

I feel that meme leannec even with dinner sometimes. Part of the reason I was such a big fan of the meal kits was because I got just enough to make one dinner for two. I didn't have to spend $40 on ingredients to make us one dinner. Salads and sandwiches are the same. Of course there is always the two slices of meat with a slice of cheese between wheat bread. Which is what I usually have. 😂 Big sandwich eater here. I'm just getting ready to shower. I'm meeting a childhood friend for lunch today. He was my neighbor when I was just a little kid. And we played together all the time. We haven't lunched since before COVID. So I'm eager to see him again. He moved near me about 3 years before COVID and we were lunching about every 3-4 months. I like him because he is so very smart and interesting. We always have just the absolute best conversations that always leave me thinking. Jeremy is playing golf at 4:30 today so I will just have something small for dinner. Maybe a salad. Some hummus and veggies and pretzels. Something like that. When I get back from lunch I think I'm going to work on a quilt.

It is a grey day with rain just starting to drop, so inside and sewing/quilting today, joining jeremysgirl. leannec ~~ The local deli will make the sandwiches for me, having fresh bread or buns, slice & price the exact amount of meat and cheese and only charge what is necessary. There was a great German deli right beside the bank where I used to work. This was perfect and not expensive at all. I could change up what I wanted each day. hutchfan ~~ A perfect and simple Sunday supper. You have a blessed day as well. I will be cleaning out the fridge where I am house-sitting this week. There are odds & sods of veggies that I will grill in a foil package along with the sweetest corn ever in the world, along with a meat-burger.

I loved sandwiches. You can stack lots of veggies on 'em and they're so good and filling. I loved pickles, but cucumber gives your sandwich a nice crunch. Have a nice time w/your mom, leannec. Enjoy lunch with your friend, jeremysgirl. Have fun catching up. May your Sunday be very blessed, hutchfan. quiltz, enjoy your quilting day. The paperlanche is shrinking and then we find more paper. She saved everything even notes she wrote about going to the store. Did you know that in the 90's you could get cream o' crap soup for $.30 cents per can on sale? (eye roll) Sil and Ia re meeting the other gal cousins/in-laws for brunch. It's gonna be lots of fun to catch up w/everyone. Well, why type whenI could be sorting. Dinner is rechauffe Chinese food

Our weather today has been weird. After being so hot yesterday, we had rain overnight which cooled things down a bit, but meant it has been really humid, so not really pleasant. This morning we went to church, like we do most weeks. I am starting to get organised for the First Communion class I will running after the summer break, so early October. I discovered today I have hardly any of the student workbooks left, so will need to place an order. I want to do that soonish, as they have to come from the US.
Dinner tonight is lamb with a Greek style marinade and a Greek salad.

I am tired from getting up so early to walk. We did 2 miles and I'm hot and beat. Dinner will be the greens/strawberry/etc. salad. Yummy!

The Canadian smoke has made its way back to us. I took a long walk yesterday and I am paying the price today with a sore throat. The haze and smell is terrible today. We had planned on going to a state park hiking today but decided against it. I am playing with my papers and photos so not an entirely bad day. scrapmaven I remember helping my parents clean out my grandparents house. We thought we would never get thru the papers. I hope for your sake it will be coming to an end soon. Enjoy your brunch. Dinner will be pork chops and one of the vegetables I picked up at the farmers market yesterday.

Still babysitting. Day 3, which means I’m halfway. This old girl has way less patience than I used to. My mom came for a short visit this morning and so did DH. That helped but the kids get pumped when they come over so they were extra crazy and loud. We are having quiet time now.
Hot and humid days here with lots of rain. DS’s lawn is going to be like a hayfield by the time they get home. DH will cut it for him if it dries up.
Supper tonight will be Kraft dinner along with some fruit and veggies.

Dinner will be pizza from our favorite place. I am spending a few hours keeping my older brother safe, as his SO had a celebration of life to go to, and Les doesn't do well in crowds. He has some issues ie dementia😢😢😢😢

Hi ladies!
I so hope you are all doing well. I know I’ve missed so much. ☹️ I’m getting to run out and get groceries and a few errands. Typical Sunday stuff before the week starts.
Dinner tonight is grilled chicken skewers, corn on the cob and some okra.

I love salads and sandwiches but don't enjoy all the prep to salads. My audiobooks do help with that though.
Tonight I'm making a WW recipe of cod with tomatoes, Kalamata olives , herbs and I will add some capers. I may make pasta on the side and some roasted squash. Our yellow squash plant is producing enough for us and the neighbors. Our zucchini plant not so much.

Your dinner still sounds good!

Glad you stopped in PolarGreen12. I hope everything is going well. Dd3 was here for a wedding. We worked on some stuff for the shower before she left to go home. Came to the lake to do some stuff. We’re having kolbasa with roasted veggies.

@delta Dawn: The kids are having so much fun, doing all the touristy stuff. The pictures that they are sending are amazing. I will tell them about the restaurant but they come home tomorrow so don’t know if they will have time or what their plans are for the last day.
I’m glad they had a chance to get away as they never had a honeymoon. This is their first time away without the kids.

I went to church this morning and we sang a lovely easy anthem in choir. it was a bach arrangement by our fav musician (hopson). more bach next week.
then hanging out with my son.. and the guys are off to the last Dead and Co concert.. so I don't have to make dinner. I am having a frozen turkey burger and grapes for dinner. this week will be so fun with him.. we are tackling stuff in the basement that may be his.. and will make goodwill and dump runs. he is happy to help anywhere in the house. and he is seeing friends and organizing a memorial gathering for a friend who died a few months ago. he also has a job interview this week. so it is exciting!!

Just got back from a weekend at my BIL & SIL's trailer at the beach. Not great weather, no beach days, but still had fun hanging out & going to the park potluck. Not sure if you recall, but this is my SIL that has terminal cancer & was told she only had 6-9 weeks left. That 9 week mark was June 13, and she's still doing well. This latest round of chemo has helped a lot. It's not shrinking the tumours, but they aren't progressing and she's tired but feeling well enough. We're all spending as much time together as we can.

Hi, dear dinner peAple....I had my hip surgery, and my recovery is complicated, but I'll be okay. Physical therapy is brutal and exhausting, but I'm very thankful for it.
