I decided to make an adventure out of it and roped in my 17-year-old. Line opened at 8--we got there at about 8:30. Trucks opened at 10, and we got our merch at 1PM on the dot. I wore my new blue crewneck to barre this AM because after that I am going to wear it until it falls apart  . I have to say, it was the most pleasant experience I have ever had waiting in a line (which I usually avoid at all costs). Everyone was in such a good mood! |

That sounds like fun, really! I would've done something like that, too, back in the day. I'm glad you had fun and met some nice people.

That sounds like hell on earth! I read your post to DSO, who gets impatient having to queue for more than five minutes, and he said (apologies in advance for the language) "F---, what a nightmare! That's f---ed!" It sounds like hell to me too, but the 3.5 hour wait for my DD in Vegas didn’t seem bad to her. |

I was fascinated by this concept when I saw it on the news last night. Back in the day, we waited in line for the tickets themselves, then I had a college box office job where I had to run such lines and deal with scalpers 😬
I'm glad you got what you wanted. I hear that blue crew is an object of desire!

My dd (16) was unable to go on Friday, but one of her friends was kind enough to get her one. She is over the moon and i think won’t take it off for the next 3 months. Lol! |

My 15 year old hasn't taken it off since the concert.. lol.. I think it is beginning to walk on it's own. My blue crew is still hanging in my closet.. I can't wear it yet.. it's way to damn hot. It's just there teasing me.
I had the best of both worlds.. My kids got in line at 5am and got done around 9:30. I was at work. I got my merch delivered to me! haha

On the news it sure looked like a big party down there when people were in line. Glad to know it was exactly as it appeared and that you enjoyed the concert! I am grateful there is no piece of clothing that I'll line up for hours to purchase  And grateful I have no teens in the house that I consider doing so for. |

They were prepared though and able to stick it out! She had an amazing time that weekend! I don’t think she wanted the blue crew though, but had a big bag of merch nonetheless! |

Where was the concert? I saw there was some sort of issue in Seattle the night of her concert and a Mariner's game, something about a street take over??? There was shooting, and I wasn't sure if it was crowds rioting for some reason, but it doesn't sound like it was related to the events...

There was shooting, and I wasn't sure if it was crowds rioting for some reason, but it doesn't sound like it was related to the events... It was not related to these events, but to another big event over the weekend, the Capitol Hill Block Party. The locations are miles from one another. On the other hand, there were Mariners games literally across the street from the concert over the weekend, so it was exceptionally busy in the stadium district (SODO) both days. |

I can't imagine being in line 4.5 hours for anything, anything! I hate a line with more than 5 people in it, so I would never survive a long wait for anything--tickets,store opening etc.

We live an hour from Detroit. I heard rumours about the blue crewneck being readily available there, so I made the trip across the border to get DD a crewneck, even though we were going to a show in Cincinnati several weeks later. I'm glad I did - the crews were impossible to find once we got to Cincinnati. There was something about Detroit where they were just magically in stock. I waited in line about 45 minutes and DD was thrilled.
