I can only close my left eye at one time, as a wink, and not my right eye. I have terrible vision and have a mono vision prescription, where one eye dominates far and then another near. I'm wondering is why can't I physically close my right eye. Anyone else have this condition, where you can only close one eye? What's the percentage of performing a double wink or single wink?

There are people who can wink with both eyes, people who can only wink with one eye, and some who can’t wink at all. It doesn’t have anything to do with your vision. Bit they say most people who can wink, wink with the dominant eye. I have mono-vision and I can wink with both eyes.
ETA - You can train your other eye to wink.

I’ve never been able to blink with my right eye. I technically can with my left, but I have to use a lot of cheek muscles and my right eye doesn’t even remain fully open.

I think you just have to keep trying. It is mainly muscle training. Hold one eyelid in the closed position while the other eyelid stays open.

I can wink each independently. I suppose I assumed most of us can.
My grandsons are here for an extended visit right now and the three-year-old is learning to wink. Only it’s that exaggerated blinking of both eyes after which he declares he did it. And we all clap and say he did even though he didn’t. Lol.

I can wink with either eye but I really have to concentrate harder to close only my right eye. I can close my left eye effortlessly without working the cheek muscles.
My DD can raise a single eyebrow like this: 🤔 I cannot do it no matter how hard I try. She can only do one though and not the other.

I can only wink with my right eye. When my son was in boy scout camp, I tried target shooting with a bb gun. It was so hard because I'm right handed but had to aim with my left eye.

I can only wink with my left eye (which is my bad eye - to the point that I have just a balance lens in my glasses on that side because I can't tolerate a corrective lens AND it only would correct to just better than 20/200 if I could).
