I have started making a "smoothie" with frozen fruit and sparkling water. I have a blendjet 2 that I got at Target a couple years ago and hardly used. It doesn't blend the fruit well at all, and I have to charge it after just one or 2 uses.
I need recommendations for a new blender or whatever you can use to make a smoothie.

I us a ninja I got from Costco. We've had it many years and for a while I would make 2-3 smoothies daily for 8 months straight many years in a row. It is still going but the blade for the blender cups has a small crack. It leaks but otherwise works. I really like the blender cups.
It also has a food processor bowl/blade plus a regular blender pitcher.

I also have a ninja that works well. I add just a little liquid and blend and then continue to add a little more liquid and blend until the smoothie is the consistency I want.

I have a Vitamix I got years ago at Costco. I use it for smoothies, and also for a lot of sauces. I love it, but don't want to goad people into an expensive blender. I think posters here have had good luck with the less-expensive Ninja.

I have a Nutribullet. It's great for smoothies. My larger Ninja seemed too big and wasted a lot of the smoothie on the sides of the blender.

I also have a Nutribullet that I've used for years. There are some incremental costs as you are supposed to change out the blades and the containers every few months. It works great making my smoothie in seconds and takes up a tiny amount of counter space. YOu only have to clean two things each day - the blade and the container. The blade doesn't go in the dishwasher though.
I get my fruit out of the freezer the night before and put in the refrigerator so it isn't completely frozen. I don't like it super cold.

I have two Ninjas, one for home and one for work. The home one is the Ninja professional that comes with a regular blender cup plus two smoothie cups and a separate blade to use with those to make the smoothies directly in the cup.

I just won a Nutribullet combo blender and it’s awesome. It came with a huge pitcher and the two blender cups with lids. Now I need to evict my *old* old blender (the one from when we got married 30+ years ago) so there’s room for this new one in the cabinet.
Our medium old blender is a Drink Machine commercial blender that we had at our restaurant, I think that one should go to the cabin. To be honest, I kind of forgot we had that one but it made awesome smoothies back in the day.

Ninja pro here. I’ve used it every day for smoothies for three years. Works wonderfully.

I have never regretted my Vitamix. I’ve never had better smoothies.

I use an immersion blender. With frozen fruit? My immersion blender would never be able to handle whole frozen strawberries.

My vitamix is nearly 10 years old and makes smoothies as perfectly as it did the day I bought it.

Vitamix here too. I use it everyday for so much more than just smoothies. But it does make the perfect smoothie. It is expensive but worth every penny.

I have a Ninja Nutri Pro with Auto-IQ. I've had it for 8 or 9 years and it's still going strong. I like that it blends right in the cup so I don't have to clean a separate container and also I can just blend and go.

I like that it blends right in the cup so I don't have to clean a separate container and also I can just blend and go. I had the same Ninja Nutrition Pro and really liked it. Just recently the motor started to make terrible grinding noises, then thd blade\ cup combo started to leak on every use. My DD also has a Ninja Pro, so I gave her all of my cups, and pitched the base. I almost bought a new Ninja Pro during Prime days, but just couldn’t make up my mind. We’ve had a Vitamix for years and years. I’m now leaning towards purchasing the Vitamix Single Serve Adapter. We bought a Vitamix for our teenage grandson a couple of years ago as a gift. His came with the single serve adapter and he uses it a lot for his smoothies. He told me he loves his Vitamix. LOL I’m only hesitating a little because of a) the cost of the adapter and b) I switched from smoothies and was primarily making protein drinks. Right now I still have a case Fairlife Protein drinks. Since I can’t find the Fairlife protein drinks at a reasonable cost anymore, I will soon have to make a decision about what to buy. A single cup mixer would suit my needs the most and the Vitamix is the more powerful and really does the best job of smoothly blending fruit and vegetables. The Vitamix is a large financial investment, but it is a powerful workhorse.

I have an Oster my blend blender. It works well.
I don't drink enough of them to justify a high priced blender yet

I have a Vitamix I got years ago at Costco. I use it for smoothies, and also for a lot of sauces. I love it, but don't want to goad people into an expensive blender. I think posters here have had good luck with the less-expensive Ninja. I am on my second Vitamix. Well, it isn’t that my first one broke in any way, I gave it to my parents. I wanted to buy a new one for them and they wouldn’t let me. I would make smoothies for them when they came to my house and I knew they would use one, but they were stubborn about allowing me to spend the money. I finally came up with a tricky way to get them to take one. I told them that I wanted to buy a new one in a different color, but felt guilty because my existing one still worked just fine. If they would agree to take my current one, I would buy the new color and not feel bad. That did the trick and they agreed to accept my existing Vitamix. Yes, it is an expensive blender, but it does such an amazing job. Not only can you make smoothies, you can put onion chunks into it and fill it with water and buzz it a couple of times. Drain the water and you have finely chopped onions without any tears. This worked very well for those times that you want really small bits of raw onion. You could also do this with cabbage for slaw. I make a lot of soups and when my son was younger, I used to take the vegetables that I knew he didn’t want to eat and purée them into the broth base. It increased his vegetable intake without him being picky about eating them. I also used to do the water trick with carrots, onions, and kale or spinach and add that drained vegetable mix to taco meat. It made the meat tender and again, increased vegetable intake. He said my tacos were much better than his step mother’s tacos. She actually called me to ask what I was doing to mine because he talked about them tasting so good. So even though a Vitamix is expensive, you will use it often and probably never need to replace it. When my father died, Mom made me take the Vitamix back. I now use it for craft projects instead of using my good one. It is still going strong and must be over 20 years old now.

Vitamix. I bought a refurbished one from the Vitamix website four years ago. It is still amazing. It makes great smoothies but we use it a lot for frozen cocktails .

Another vote for Vitamix. My mothers is close to 50's years old. Mine is 10 years old and it is a beast. I bought a reconditioned one (since they are local to me) and I have never regretted it. I blew through at least one blender a year before finally buying the reconditioned one. I got it for 189.00 which has now completely paid for itself. I use it for everything from nutbutters, soups, salsa, hummus, and the morning smoothie
