I've had it since I was 24 (I'm 59 now) and have spent the last 5 years dealing with brain and nervous system problems. I have tons of autonomic difficulties. The diagnosis this week stopped me dead in my tracks.
I have stage 3b kidney disease. Stage 4 is dialysis and hopefully a transplant.
Can anyone help me? I'm really freaking out here. Thank so very much for listening.

My college roommate has had lupus for 43 years. She’s 65. She also went into to kidney failure and had a kidney transplant about two years ago and is doing very well. Her donor was her sister-in-law who she had no blood relation to.

I think you meant this for the thread about hangers, not lupus. Opps! Now how in the heck did that get here? Sorry. Do you realize that a post can be deleted? Go to your post, look at the far right with the little drop down menu and you will see delete post as an option (this is using a laptop/desktop). On a phone, it is slightly different but involves the little gear on the right of the post.

Thank you so much for your support. I'm glad to hear that someone was able to get a transplant and a return to health. I'll try very hard to stay positive. ❤️

Wow - yeah, that would be a tough pill to swallow. I'm sorry - I hope everything works out - and quickly!

I’m sorry you are suffering through these struggles. I know nothing about lupus, but I wish you the very best.

She helped me tremendously with my father was first diagnosed with kidney cancer because her husband was going through the same thing and had for many years. Her suggestions for foods to eat and avoid were awesome.

I've been eating a high protein/low carb diet to prevent diabetes but I think too much protein is really bad for kidney disease. Thank you again for all your help
