Supermarket own brand. Not the cheapest, but their own brand.

I have been wanting to try this. I am all for anything that helps the environment. I quit eating beef, I recycle everything that my trash company accepts, I buy bulk to cut down on packaging. Iām going to be looking into other products that I can order to stop all the glass and plastic that I get. Use a Bidet then no toilet paper neededš¤£ I have a honest question here. Do most bidets have some kind of air dryer and how does that work? If they do and itās anything like those air hand dryers it would take forever to actually come close to getting anything actually dry. DH installed one of the add on bidet type seats to the toilet he primarily uses. I realize itās a cheapie option compared to actually installing a separate bidet. He likes it. Me, not so much. I think I used it once and never again. The thing sprays tap water (and because we have well water itās typically kind of cold) and because itās not fancy it doesnāt have any kind of drying feature. So if one were to use that and not dry off with at least some TP, theyāre pulling up their unders and pants over a wet ass. No thank you. Maybe you would be using less paper but you would be using more water, and in some cases that might be considered the more wasteful option especially as more and more of the US seems to be in a continual pattern of drought.

My favorite Brand is Cottenelle. I use to only buy Charmin and sometimes I still do. Iām okay with Northern and Angel Soft. But typically, we buy Cottenelle.

crazy4scraps, Iāve had some of the same questions. I would definitely need one that heated the water and had a dryer function. I remember my neighbor across the street had one with all the premium components and told me that once you use a good quality bidet, you will never want to be without one. I know she removed it when she sold the house and had a regular toilet installed to leave with the house. Iāll post a spinoff to see what brand the peas recommend.

I donāt find a lot of excess water to dry off when I use a bidet. One pass with the TP and I am dry (both front and back). You are basically only spraying one small area.

The person I quoted said āno need for TP with a bidetā which was why I was questioning it, since the bidet thing we have on our toilet definitely requires using some.

We switched a while ago to Who Gives A Crap toilet paper. We really like their bamboo tp, but their 100% recycled content works too.
I have made a concerted effort in our house to stop chopping down trees for things that we literally soil and throw away. When I stopped to think about it, I find it really daft to grow massive acres of trees like row crops just to cut them down, wipe your bottom or blow your nose and throw them away. We have completely switched to bamboo for toilet paper, paper towels and tissues. Don't use many paper towels or paper napkins any longer. Just replaced them with cloth and we survived!

I use Angel Soft.
I have allergies and sensitivities.
I cannot use any scented toilet paper. Definitely NO lavender scented (had a bad reaction years ago). I don't use charmin or northern, because whatever they use to help soften the toilet paper irritates me. I can use one or twice if I am at someone's home, but anything more than that is not good.

Aldi brand version of Angel Soft. Not too soft, not too hard. Better then actual Angel Soft, which changed many years back.

We buy the big Kirkland pack at Costco. I do find on one of my roll holders they are too big a roll and you can't "spin" the roll and have to hand turn it to get any off the roll. But no complaints with this brand! Us too - I grew up with a diva septic tank so we used Scott 1-ply, and that was fine; but using the Kirkland is a happy medium between 1 ply and wiping with the uber-soft TPs that feel like you're using a pillowcase.

We have a Toto bidet and itās coming with us if we ever move. Itās heats the water and blows warm air. There are new ones on the market that are Bluetooth enabled and can be custom set for different users.

Kirkland. We occasionally get something else if we can't get to Costco but we usually don't like it as much. I've never noticed lint issues.

Cottonelle, the kind with the ridge lines in it. I donāt have to use near as much as I do with some other brands. And can I just say I HATEš¤¬š¤¬š¤¬ the rolls that are less wide than they have always been? The first time I bought a big package like that I was so angry that I almost returned it. You donāt notice the width unless you have something to compare it to. Now that I know they are doing that, I watch carefully and refuse to buy it. We use Cottonelle also! It was my compromise with my dhā¦I used single ply Scott and he wanted thick Charminā¦Cottonelle was a happy medium!

If I get anything other than soft Charmin I get an earful from the 11-year-old. Don't ask me why this is his hill to die on but I got myself a heated toilet seat recently so am not going to make fun of him.

I use Up brand from Target. Iād never do Charmin due to their weird commercials. š¤Ŗ Me too! I get so disgusted when I get up from my computer and it gives me the little floating ad saying āenjoy the goā I cannot express how irritated it makes me. I will never use their product because of that commercial. I am not usually bothered by things like that and truthfully rarely pay attention. But that one got under my skin.

I switched to the Who Gives A Crap TP a year or so before the pandemic hit and I've never regreted it. I did it mostly because I liked the fact that they build toilets and clean water projects in poorer areas and they use bamboo which is a renewable resource so I feel like I;m doing my part to help the enviroment.

It is so difficult to compare prices on toilet paper. Is it actually cheaper to buy it at Costco?

I use the Scott single-ply. I donāt find it dry, hard, or scratchy at all. Itās a little crisp and I do like that ā¦ it doesnāt leave bits behind like the softer brands do. Plus it goes on sale at CVS every 2-3 weeks. My one problem with it is I have to remember to use fewer sheets when Iām at other peopleās houses with their cushy, thick TP. Because you need more of the single-ply. I refuse to buy Charmin because I find their commercials incredibly annoying. I won't buy Charmin for the same reason. We use Costco.

Cottonelle, the kind with the ridge lines in it. This is my favorite. I use plug and clog pretty interchangeably. Okay, another too personal question about bidets. How do you know that you are clean? I can't imagine that just spraying water at it will do the job.

We have bidet hoses attached to both toilets in the house, and use Kirkland TP to pat dry š

We always get the red package of HāEāB brand. It meets our requirements and is cheaper than name brands.

I chose other, because I typically buy two brands on your list. Just depends on which I can get on sale.
I buy Charmin Essentials Strong (the cheap Charmin brand) or Kirkland. I donāt buy the Charmin Soft because I feel like it has more lint and tears easier.
Iām pretty sure my MIL uses Angel Soft, Itās like wiping with soft cotton, too soft for me!
