Hi everyone! I'm posting early so I don't forget! I'll be going to the grocery store within the next hour ... need a few drinks and snacks ... Hello Fresh comes tomorrow with real food. Emma and her boyfriend are in Montreal for a music festival (they went last year for it too) ... they are having adventures there with transportation ... good thing they are young! I have a friend coming over for awhile this afternoon ... no plans this evening so far ... Maybe I will bring my girlfriend over here for dinner if she is up to it ... the broken foot puts a damper on things I have a really great frozen shrimp thing that we have had before that I could make for dinner ... This is what I posted on Facebook today ... it reminded me of scrapmaven and her kitties ... I hope they are OK and I hope she is having a great time on her cruise! What are your plans today? What is on your menu tonight? Have a great Saturday everybody!

Hello from Vienna airport. We are making our way home from vacation. Our first flight from Varna to here was delayed an hour - luckily we had a 3.5 hour layover. Others on our flight were not so lucky - we had an announcement that those travelling to Amsterdam should move quickly when we landed, and people travelling to Zurich, Frankfurt and Berlin should check their email for rebooking info.
Not sure what dinner is going to be tonight. We will land in Munich at about 6:40, then we have to wait for luggage and do some grocery shopping - we’re going to split up; I’ll wait and DH will shop - and then drive home which is another half an hour. Quite possibly it will be one of the frozen pizzas at home heated up.

We are headed to a post-wedding reception at my cousins home. His daughter was married in Maryland and they kept it small because they didn’t want people to have to spend a lot to go. They did this with their other daughter also. So there’s a food truck and a whole bunch of food and then later this evening a bunch of us will stay because I have cousins that I haven’t seen in a while that are coming from Delaware. We’ll do hotdogs and hamburgers on the grill.

We're going to our friend's house for their annual pool party ~ it's going to be 101 but her backyard will be shady by 3. I'm taking a pasta salad and pralines. Looking forward to seeing friends who moved to Florida in February but are flying in for the party. I'm excited for Mr. and Mrs. scrapmaven as they set sail today ~ Bon Voyage!

Love that kitty, leannec. He looks like the baby version of my sassy old girl. Nicklas up early, cleaning up the back yard, taking a load of stuff to the dump, mostly old wood and junk. I think we will have a quiet day. It is supposed to rain and that will be a good day to straighten things up, read, play guitar, and maybe bake. We had a long (fun) day yesterday and I wasn't feeling well, so a quieter plan sounds good for today. We think a lot of what I'm experiencing is reflux related, after thankfully ruling out cardio stuff. I need an upper gi scope, requested by my Dr, but I apparently have to see the gi Dr's nurse practitioner before they will schedule it. I'm desperate to get it done and figure out how to treat this, bc once it kicks in it feels like I can't breathe and I get panicky. Then anxiety. It's all I can do to keep talking myself down. Shocking something like heartburn can be so problematic. Hoping I feel good enough to bake today. I got a ton of fun stuff at the cake decorating place yesterday. Exciting news! Nick got our grandson a really good job with him at his machine shop. Michael is very excited. I so hope it works out well. It is a very good opportunity for a young guy right out of hs. He has the potential to make very good money. Nick is thrilled. I may make the guys cupcakes. I missed his first days of a lot of things but we'll celebrate all the important days we can now. Happy Saturday! Bon voyage and happy camping to scrapmaven and jeremysgirl. Welcome home, sueg. Stay away from the alligators, cadoodlebug!

Good morning. I'm shutting down my computer and had to read the thread. We're headed to the dock.
Have a great week ahead and make the most of each day. No shenanigans while I'm gone. If there are any, take video.
Bye, my lovelies.

Happy Saturday! Slow day for me as I got all my errands done yesterday. Have to go walk/feed DD's dog this afternoon (dog sitter is at work all day), then the rest of the day is for sewing and reading. Much too hot for anything else. The 10 day forecast is 100+ for the next 10 days (and has been that all this past week). I'm so ready for Fall! Dinner is up in the air for tonight. Something light and easy no doubt. Tomorrow is our 46th anniversary and we have reservations at a new to us steak house. Need to save room for all the heavy food then! Bon voyage to Mr and Mrs scrapmaven! Enjoy your trip! We will land in Munich at about 6:40, then we have to wait for luggage and do some grocery shopping - we’re going to split up; I’ll wait and DH will shop This is one thing I miss about airports in Europe - the grocery markets they have! It is so easy to grab a few things for dinner/breakfast as you head to your transport home.

It’s a gorgeous day here and I’ve been fairly productive so far. I’ve stripped the beds, washed the bedding and the beds are remade. DH already ate breakfast but because I’m intermittent fasting, I don’t eat until about 11 am. I just made myself an egg, bacon and cheese on a toasted bagel along with some seedless grapes.
DH is going for an ATV ride with a buddy this afternoon so I’ll putter around the house.
I got my new glasses yesterday and while I was in the city, I went to the mall. I got a shirt and pair of lounging pants. Still trying to find clothes that fit me. I’m currently down 35 lbs but at a bit of a standstill so maybe this is my new weight. If so, I can replenish my wardrobe.
Supper will be wraps with leftover steak.

That is way too hot to be outside cadoodlebug and I don't even care if there is shade. tmarschall I'm sorry you are feeling so bad. I can see how heartburn might make you feel like a panic attack. I don't think that correlation seems silly to me at all. scrapmaven you make me laugh with take video comment. I'll just say that I've been having a really nice weekend. No one is staying our camper except us. So I have my space. Jeremy has not given me one hassle about not participating in all the group activities. This particular weekend is a festival in this Mayberry like town. And last night was a parade. I did not go, choosing to stay back and read. My dinner last night was a hit. And then this morning they all went to the fire station for a pancake breakfast. I stayed back, took a shower, had coffee by the pond, and now am having a healthier breakfast/lunch of Greek yogurt and blueberries. I'd rather have a cookie later than waste my calories on pancakes. There is a festival uptown this afternoon that everyone is talking about going to and I don't think I will. Don't get me wrong when everyone is sitting around talking I do too. I'm visiting plenty. So I'm not being totally antisocial. But I refuse to be right on top of everyone. I'm not sure what is for dinner tonight. Someone else's night to cook.

I am enjoying my day today just doing nothing Hubby took his mother for errands and they are having lunch together. I got invited but I would rather have some alone time at home. I have no idea what we are having for dinner. Enjoy your weekend !

I think I will try the steak bites recipe if I can get myself organized (questionable). Plus some kind of potatoes or noodles, and broccoli. LOVE the memes today. Thanks, leannec and cadoodlebug! We will be sure to take video, scrapmaven. Have a great time on your cruise.

That is way too hot to be outside cadoodlebug and I don't even care if there is shade. It was hotter on July 4th when we partied with them. Cooling off in the pool helps. Depends on how many kids are in the pool. I might just stick my feet in. She has umbrellas around the pool and their overhang has a great ceiling fan. Your downtime sounds wonderful. I'm glad Jeremy is not giving you any pushback. He's probably enjoying being with his family. Win-win for both of you!

We will land in Munich at about 6:40, then we have to wait for luggage and do some grocery shopping - we’re going to split up; I’ll wait and DH will shop The grocery store at the Vienna airport is just the right size! It has a lot of variety and I was so happy to have found some Dr. Oetker baking supplies there ~~ bourbon vanilla extract and a few other things, Oh yes ~ Hippo chocolate bars! This is one thing I miss about airports in Europe - the grocery markets they have! It is so easy to grab a few things for dinner/breakfast as you head to your transport home. I agree, and they are not more expensive than other grocery stores. Don't get me wrong when everyone is sitting around talking I do too. I'm visiting plenty. So I'm not being totally antisocial. But I refuse to be right on top of everyone. When we had our park model trailer, I preferred to do my own thing. Apparently this bugged other people but, , I didn't care. Long weekend in Ontario, huge Caribana festival in Toronto so our traffic is nuts on the highway. I'm staying at home, finished a quilt this morning, found backing fabric and batting and now it is ready to go to the long-arm quilter. Not sure what is for dinner, hopefully my friend will invite me over for a bbq.

I like everyone quiltz but I wouldn't even like 4 days with my own family without breaks. Plus, I mean I feel like camping should be about relaxing. And not just their mid-afternoon nap. I have to be sick or dog tired to nap. It's just not my thing and they all seem to go go go and then need a nap every afternoon. I am very disciplined about my sleep schedule because it impacts my mood so much.

I hope they are able to figure out your gi issue tmarschall ... especially if it is leading to panic attacks and anxiety! I couldn't do all of that peopleing either jeremysgirl ... not fun ... when I camped, I spent a lot of time on my own too ... my trailer was cushy and I did a lot of reading and napping.

I think the supermarkets in airports (and major train stations) is at least in part due to our Sunday trading regulations here. Most shops can't open on Sundays, but an exception is made for 'supplies for travelers', and so we have supermarkets at major transport hubs. Very useful if you get home Saturday evening and are not going to get to your local before they shut (usually around 8pm here), or if you come in on a Sunday or late on any day and need a few fresh food items. quiltz - I think also that our trading rules don't allow for shops to bump up prices too much, so airport/train station supermarkets generally have similar prices to their other stores. The convenience 'grab and go' supermarkets at gas stations are another matter.

Have a great time on your cruise scrapmaven. We made it to my parents late Wednesday afternoon. Have been busy since we got here. It rained all day Thursday so we went to all the local shops I like to visit. I was able to find some really nice gifts for a niece that is getting married in September. Yesterday DH and I celebrated our 39th wedding anniversary. We spent the day hiking in the mountains. We ended up hiking over 9 miles. We started at an elevation of 1300 ft and at the top of the mountain we were at 3460 ft. It was a beautiful hike but my right knee was killing me on the way down. My parents took us out to dinner last night to celebrate. We just got back from the lake. It really got busy around noon so we decided to come in and hopefully we will go back out tonight for the sunset. I told my mom I will cook tonight. We are having honey beer chicken on the grill. Easy easy…

sueg I'm glad your delay didn't cause any issue! When I was getting home from conference in June, I had the worst delay: I was at the airport and through security by 2:30 PM for a 6:05 PM flight because I'm neurotic and wasn't sure what traffic and security lines would be like. Got through security with no issue, and plopped myself down at my gate and started reading a book. Got the notification the flight was delayed an hour or so. Okay, no big deal. I'll get home a little later than planned, but I wasn't working the next day, no big deal. Well... that was not the first nor last delay. Eventually, my flight left at 9:30 AM... Yes, AM. As in the next day. 😡

I also haven’t exercised at all for 3 days and cannot motivate myself to barely get dressed. I mean I do but not until afternoon and even then not perfect. I am not depressed but I am struggling. Things with the kids are great.

Love the memes today!
I'm not feeling well today so I've rested a lot and am trying to take it easy. We are planning on grilled burgers for dinner, so it should be pretty simple.
