I'm looking for THIN and SOFT long-sleeved tee-shirts. Of course I can search on various sites but I have no way of knowing how thin and how soft they are. That's why I need you and recommendations based on something you wear.
I want these for the spring/summer which is why I want them on the thinner side. I like wearing long sleeves in the summer because of air conditioning. lol. I do wear a short-sleeved when I'm actually outside, like when I'm walking, but otherwise I'm a long sleeved gal.
And soft is a given...I hate scratchy or rough on my clothes. ugh. Even a teeshirt neck that's too tight (which most people probably wouldn't think was tight) is annoying to me.
Any good ideas based on something that you wear and can vouch for?

Oooh! I hope someone has good suggestions. I like to wear them under my t-shirts when it gets a little cooler out. Bonus points if they aren't just plain colors.

Talbots long sleeve tees are generally pretty thin. I buy them to sleep in.

I have several of these t-shirts and love them, especially that they are shaped at the waistline. The LL Bean Pima Cotton t-shirts are my go to for any style. However they are not what I would call a thin fabric. I have a couple of t-shirts from Ann Mashburn that are nearly tissue thin so that may be clouding my opinion.

Hmmm, I don’t tend to buy them that thin so this feels thin to me! Before I bought the AM tees I probably would have agreed with you. But I've discovered there are some out there that are super thin - and would be perfect for layering. That said, I love love love my LL Bean t-shirts. They last forever, don't draw up and don't get those ridiculous mystery holes in them.

Cuddle Duds (linked above) came to mind for me too. Also investigate the J. Crew tissue tees.

I really like the long-sleeved Modern Crewneck t-shirts from Gap.

I LOVE Kohl’s Women's Sonoma Goods For Life® Everyday V-Neck Long Sleeve Tee. They are thin and very soft. I’ve worn them for years and they wash and hold-up very well. Due to recent weight loss, I just bought some in smaller sizes, anywhere from $5 to $8. Was thrilled to get the sale -30%.

They aren't cheap but I really like the tee shirts from ripskirt.com. I used to buy the pima cotton tees from LLBean for years but then they started shrinking in length even on me (I'm short waisted and petite) so I stopped buying them. When I was shopping for a trip to St. John in 2021 I discovered ripskirt.com. I bought 3 of their skirts and 4 of their short sleeved tee-shirts. I'm still wearing their tee-shirts and have every day at home since that trip! I love them! They are so comfy.
They are made from 95% model and 5% spandex, breathe like crazy, are a bit stretchy, dry quickly (really nice for travel). I wash them in cold water and hang them to dry. They come in tanks, short sleeves, 3/4 sleeves and a long sleeves hoody. I've found their customer service to be excellent.

Now that my internal thermostat appears to be broken, I like the Tek Gear long sleeve shirts from Kohl’s especially if I can find v neck ones. I like that they have a longer tunic length.

I like the Walmart ones. Cheap (and yes cheaper quality too). Time & Tru or Terra & Sky for the fluffy girls. They have Hanes women's long sleeve too.
I like them because they are thin. They wash nice, and they are cheap. I wear them during harvest, and usually catch them on a fence or get grease/oil on them if I am helping wrench. So I don't want something that costs a lot. I toss a hoodie over them when it gets colder. I also bleach the ever living daylights out of my sinks when I clean, so I like to wear cheap shirts, because they usually have a bleach spot from cleaning.
My bleach cleaning must have rubbed off on my girls. I was cleaning out my sink and countertop after fixing supper one night, and my son-in-law laughed and said "Smells like home"...

Lots of good ideas, thanks everyone! Looks like I have some browsing to do. Although...I might take a field trip one day and drive to Kohl's and Walmart. I know I could order online but I'd like to actually touch the shirts before I buy.

I also have some long-sleeved layering shirts that I bought at Old Navy.

My favorite are from lululemon.
But, if you want something more affordable, check out scrub shops. They usually have really good fitted long sleeve tops to go under scrubs.

It used to be that their shirts were too short for my preferences, but maybe that's changed. I might start there since it's closer to me. Kohl's isn't *that* far, just down in Springfield. But that feels like driving to Narnia (as my ds used to say about anything that wasn't right up the street, haha). I think there's a Walmart down around there somewhere though, so I could combine both into one trip. We will see....

That’s why I like the Tek Gear ones better.

I have thin LS t-shirts from all of these places and find them nice and soft, plus they don't ride up. I have some of the LL Bean pima tees too (3/4 sleeve) and they are smooth and soft but I don't really consider them thin. 2) There is a Walmart directly across from the Kohl's in Kingstown near Springfield. Good luck!!
