Have you ever had one? If not, I would suggest you never start because they are my nemesis.
It is the most amazing oatmeal chocolate chip cookie.

No, never knew they had them. I usually only do drive-thru with CFA, so I don’t “see” the cookies.

Oh great 😞 and now I find out its not a chocolate chip cookie, but an oatmeal chocolate chip cookie! My favorite! Thankfully I don't go there often, especially with the boy gone to college.

So many ads in the link that Merge provided. Ingredients3/4 cup vegetable shortening 1/4 cup butter softened 1 cup brown sugar 1/2 cup granulated sugar 1 egg 1/4 cup light corn syrup 1 tbsp molasses 1 tsp vanilla 2 1/2 cups all purpose flour 1 cup rolled oats 1 tsp baking powder 1/2 tsp salt 1/2 tsp baking soda 1 cup semi sweet chocolate chunks 3/4 cup milk chocolate chunks I chop up a milk chocolate bar InstructionsPreheat the oven to 350° In either a bowl of a stand mixer or in a large bowl with an electric hand mixer, cream together the shortening, butter and brown sugar and sugar until light and fluffy. Scrape the sides of the bowl and add the egg, corn syrup, molasses and vanilla. Mix until well combined. Add in the flour, oats, salt, baking soda and baking powder. Mix until the dough forms. Fold in the semisweet chocolate chunks and milk chocolate chunks. Portion out the dough into 1/4 cup portions. Roll the dough into a ball and arrange on a parchment or silicone baking mat lined cookie sheet. Place 6 cookies per tray. Place a few extra semisweet chocolate chunks on the top of the cookie dough prior to baking. Bake at 350° for 11-13 minutes. Mine are always done right at the 12 minute mark. Allow the cookies to cool on the pan for 10 minutes before moving to a cooling rack. Serve Warm. Aside from the addition of oatmeal and some shortening instead of all butter, the linked recipe is really similar to the Costco copycat chocolate chip cookie recipe I like. I’ll have to try this one to see how it compares.

Thank you for recipe. I will try those tonight. I love oatmeal chocolate chip cookies but won’t eat at CFA.

They sound good but I’m feeling too lazy to go to the store for molasses, corn syrup and crisco. I don’t have that stuff just sitting around unfortunately.

Had our first one yesterday- and the other one today on our drive home. They are good, but I could probably turn one down.

I haven't had the Chik fil cookies.
I love the Heavenly Hunks organic oatmeal and dark chocolate bites. I get them at Coscto. I freeze them, and eat one at a time
There are different flavors (on amazon or elsewhere online.)

I've never had them, I'm not a fan of chocolate chip cookies, I'm more of an oatmeal raisin girl. Plus I rarely go to Chick Fil A. However I would kill for a DoubleTree hotel chocolate chips cookie!

I was not aware they sold cookies. My local grocery store started selling pumpkin chocolate chip cookie sandwiches with a cream cheese frosting in the middle. I'm in trouble.

I've never eaten at Chick-Fil-A and never will. Also, I don't like oatmeal in my chocolate chip cookies. A chocolate chip cookie should be "pure"...i.e., just cookie with gooey chocolate chips. No oatmeal. lol

They're kind of a lot.
I don't really like oatmeal chocolate chip, either. I do love me some homemade chocolate chip OR oatmeal raisin.
I also don't really like chocolate chunks, it's like it throws the ratios off or something. Too much.
But I love their fruit cups because no other place serves them without melons (I'm allergic and can't even eat anything that touched a melon).

To my knowledge, I’ve never had one. If I did, I don’t remember it. I rarely eat at CFA.

OK, who is going to volunteer to make both copycat recipes and report back their findings?

I'm a plain warm and gooey chocolate chip cookie fan... but maybe I will try it. Our CFA has been closed all summer long rebuilding so I expect it will be hell to get in once they are reopened. It was already hell getting in..lol

I have never had one. I've only ever been in a Chick-Fil-A once, and that was about 20 years ago, so I don't even know if the cookies were available then or not.
Judging by that copycat recipe, it's just as I said in the other thread---that's a whole lot of sweet. I don't think they would be for me. Add to that, corn syrup is a problem child for me.
