I have a 7 and am probably getting a 13/14 because my phone forgot how to be a phone and FaceTime. I can do everything else- text, video, YouTube, etc. it’s just dead air or failed on calling/receiving calls and FaceTime. Very weird. Fully updated to whatever iOS is supported for it, not newest iOS. Anyway, I don’t want to pay a bunch of money so I’m waiting for the 15 to come out and people to dump their 13/14 and I’ll get a refurbished or hopefully pick up a cheap deal. I need 128-256gb and don’t want to pay more than $200. I got my 7 for $180 when the 11 came out.Can I just say that it totally pisses me off that they did away with a lot of the 128 models? its like 64 or 256 is the only option, and 64 you can barely do upgrades to the iOS!!!! but 256 is way too much. I can get a 128gb 12 or 13 thru Att. They don’t have 64. My 7 is a 256 and I LOVE the size!

That double finger tap thing is stupid IMO Oh, I LOVE that feature! That's 100% what sold me on getting the new watch instead of an older model. I think I’d love it too.

Oh, I LOVE that feature! That's 100% what sold me on getting the new watch instead of an older model. I love it too! My Watch is ollllldddd and I’m finally upgrading to the 9 specifically because of that. I was going to upgrade to something after the announcement but I kind of thought I’d go with the 8. I’m upgrading DH’s 13 Pro Max to the 15 Pro Max, and DS is getting his old phone. I’m on the fence about upgrading. I also have a 13 Pro Max and am tempted by the 15 Pro Max but not suuuuper tempted. Idk. The double tap for the watch was what caught my attention the most - especially for my brother. He spends several hours, three days a week, at dialysis with his right arm immobilized; he’s right-handed. The double tap to answer and hang up calls would be so much easier for him. He will likely get the new watch, but isn’t in a hurry. I have ordered the 15 Pro (Max is too big, although my husband liked that size) in blue titanium, and the gold stainless steel watch. I pick them up on the 24th; I opted for that because I won’t be at home at all on the 22nd for delivery, and can’t pick them up that day either. I currently have the 13 Pro and the Series 7 watch. Did I NEED to upgrade either? Probably not, but I am.

I just got back from the shops, and I ordered the 15 Pro Max. As I mentioned in another post, I had decided to downsize to the Pro, because I find the Pro Max a bit too big. But the 5x zoom on the Pro Max got me over the line. I knew that I would end up regretting not getting the Pro Max next time I'm taking photos on a trip! I didn't have a colour preference, because mine is always in a cover. I usually get whichever colour is available earliest. The guy suggested white (which would have been my last choice) because it *may* attract a bit less heat. I don't know when I'll be getting mine. They said it would be about two weeks, maybe earlier. I wish it was next Friday, in time for my birthday. Or even better, next Sunday which is DS's birthday, and I can rub his face in it!

AussieMeg Reports say the ProMax sold out in one hour! I went online about an hour ago and pretended to order one. Delivery date for a white 256GB Pro Max for me was Nov 7-14. I hope you can get yours sooner! Sometimes stores get orders faster than home deliveries.

I have arthritis in my thumbs, so I understand things hurting with certain movements - but this seems to be a pretty neutral position so not so painful, at least for me at this time. And, I know you said it’s your opinion, but just because it might not work for your specific condition, doesn’t make it stupid. For some people, maybe many, it may be just exactly what they need - but didn’t ever think would be possible.

I just want the feature to be able to be turned off. I don't want it to be the only way to do something.

I can turn off just about every feature on my Series 7 Apple Watch - all the sounds and haptics, the wake on wrist raise, etc. I just went through my settings menus on my watch and literally just about everything can be turned off. So, if you would want the other features, I would bet that that one will be “turn off-able.”

Here's a link that shows previous watches have a version of that.

Here's a link that shows previous watches have a version of that. Yeah, I saw that yesterday! I assumed it was a new feature when I watched the Apple event. Mind you, I've never had an Apple Watch before, so what do I know?
