No. I have a large walk in closet so there is no need to. I am getting ready to go thru my summer clothes and donate/get rid of anything I didn’t wear this year. I’ll do the same after winter.

I do, but it isn't a full replacement. I also live in four seasons. A lot of my summer things I keep out all year because I wear them under other items/layer. I put away most of my very summery things like shorts, sandals, and swimsuits (but always keep one of each accessible).
In the summer, I do put away sweaters and heavy winter gear, dress boots, tights and some heavier sweatshirts.

Too many clothes. Closet is not big enough to categorize seasons. Come October I’ll switch things up. Unless October is especially nice.

I have plenty of space to keep things out, but I go have my closet organized so that sweaters and jackets are in one area. The rest of my wardrobe can move between seasons since it is on the hot side most of the year.

Yes! My only-summer clothes have been put away for a month already, and I’m already wearing sweaters. There’s only about 2-3 months that I wear the summer clothes. Most of the year I wear jeans, and the weather determines what kind of shirt I have on.
(Today it’s a cropped tank with a flannel over it. The high is supposed to hit 60°, but it was 38° when I checked it this morning.)

Yes twice a year. I have a lot of clothes so I do spring/summer and then fall/winter. I keep mine in space bags in the attic for storage in between.

Not since we moved in 2021. If I can't fit my stuff in my closet, I need to purge. When I had a 6 foot closet, I did the changing of clothes closets.

Four distinct seasons here (although not as distinct as they used to be, sadly). I used to. I had one of those canvas zip-up-the-front wardrobe things in the basement, along with a couple of bins of sweaters and long-sleeved things. I'd haul it all upstairs, swap out summer stuff, haul that back downstairs... ugh.
Then one year I realized a couple of things:
1. I didn't wear half of what I was hauling up and down. 2. Often I'd want a short-sleeved shirt in winter to wear under a long-sleeved button down, or a long-sleeved thing in the summer because I was going somewhere where I knew the AC would be high.
So I did a huge Marie Kondo of my clothes and haven't looked back. Now everything is in the closet or bureau drawers. And we don't have a really huge closet, although I do have a few shelves in there in addition to the hanging space.

I always change out my clothes for the seasons. Partly because I don’t have room in my drawers and closet for all of it and partly because I don’t want to look at things that are out of season when choosing what to wear. I do keep some basics in there year round but I would say at least 80% of my clothes are switched out. I also go through them when switching and get rid of things that I don’t want anymore.

Growing up, we always put off season clothes in the attic. I thought everyone did and was so surprised when I was 30 and at a playgroup with my toddler to learn that most people keep all clothes in the closet!
We put off season clothes in the attic. WE don't have enough room in our closets for both seasons. But I don't like fall/winter, so I don't even want to see jeans and sweaters once it's April (although in Pittsburgh, it's still very cold until mid May some years, and you truly do need to keep winter clothes out.

No, because then I end up needing something warm in the middle of summer, or it's 80 degrees randomly that one day in February. PNW life... This.

I'll put shorts, tanks, swimsuit away-packed under my bed. I keep out the t-shirts, though. I get hot easily and don't really wear long sleeve shirts or sweaters.

Nope. I live in CA. I wear shorts all year and jeans all year and hoodies all year and tank tops all year. I swap out my chaco sandals for doc martens on rainy days.
I love where I live!

I'm in So Cal and have a fairly large closet. I don't have a lot of winter things, just sweaters really, so it all stays out. I don't actually own a winter coat.

Nope. DH and I share a big walk in closet that pretty much holds everything. I went through a bunch of my stuff a couple years ago but need to do it again because there’s a lot of stuff I don’t wear. I still have big Rubbermaid bins in our hall closet from when we moved a dozen years ago that I’ve never even opened. 😳 🙄 I used to wear a lot of crew neck sweatshirts and sweaters and now I’m always too hot and feel like I’m being choked in them. I’ll let my kid have a crack at them before I donate though, she’s at the stage of life where she’s really liking some of my “vintage” 90’s clothes, LOL.

I don’t switch out my wardrobe. I live in the PNW and our summers are too unpredictable.

I switch out my entire wardrobe twice a year (spring/summer fall/winter) it takes forever. The only thing I enjoy about it is rediscovering pieces from last season that I forgot. The past few years I've had to start earlier in the spring and later in the fall but this year everything seems to be right on time, so I'll be doing my big switch either next weekend or the week after.

I am in New England and like the OP, I store clothes/shoes in bins in the attic. I NEED to do this. It’s been chilly here!

Mine just stays put. I wear 3/4 sleeves year-round, topping them with a sweater/hoodie/jacket when it gets very cold. I have a friend who has a storage unit for her clothes*, so she does a massive switch twice a year. October heat waves and April snows cause her big headaches! LOL My wardrobe is not at all extensive. I count it as a win if I don't repeat an outfit in the same week. *Before you judge, please know that she lives in a studio apartment that was once a hotel room, so there is really no extra storage! She's been there for decades; it's in a sought-after neighborhood, and she has a high-powered job. Oh I totally get this! When I lived in Manhattan most people I knew had storage units, even to keep their bikes at night. At that time like smartypants71, I kept-off season clothes in vacuum-sealed bags under the bed.

Another 4 seasoner here, and I don't have lots of closet or dresser space. I store the off season clothes under the bed in vacuum bags (the kind that suck all the air out and compress the contents). I tend to categorize more like "hot weather" and "cold weather" as it's fairly mild where I live.
As I start putting clothes away, I try to look at pieces with an eye to "Is this worn out? Do I wear this? Do I like the way I feel in it?" and then release things as I put them away. What I haven't done in the past (and have started this year) is a note in my phone about the things that need to be replaced when that season rolls back around.

I don't get rid of anything seasonally, just every now and then. Everything fits in my closet without needing to put anything away elsewhere.
Everything is loosely sorted by type--sweaters, sweatshirts, dresses, scrubs, etc and pull-out bins hold jeans, pajamas, T-shirts, workout gear, underwear, socks, etc.

No, but probably because I don’t live in a 4 season climate:
It was over 100* today, so I’m keeping the tags on the few new things I bought for fall in case I never get to wear them.
I do have a bin for Halloween clothes, accessories, and jewelry and a bin for Christmas clothes, accessories, and jewelry. I will pull those out in Oct and Dec and mostly dress out of the bins for those months.

I used to rotate between DH's office closet and our main closet. Now I have a large enough closet to keep it all together. Also, being retired means I have far fewer clothes than I used to.

I have a couple of dresser drawers I move clothes to in their off season. I put the clothes in season on a shelf in my closet. It's mainly sweaters, flannel shirts, and shorts that are rotated.
The rest of my clothes I wear year round. I rarely wear dresses or skirts. The few I have stay in the closet.
My closet is a standard size with bi-fold doors, but it has decent built in shelves and a couple of hanging rods. The top shelf is very hard to reach. I could just put the out of season clothes up there, but it's annoying.

I'm not sure I would do that if I wasn't swapping out the seasonal clothes, so that kind of reinforces me doing it. I also make a note of things I need, like a white turtleneck or a new white t-shirt so I don't forget.

Another 4-seasoner here. Also just moved from a large home to a much smaller home, with a smaller closet! I used to have a 4 season closet, and it was cluttered. In anticipation of moving to another state and smaller home I purged years of clothing, and haven't looked back. I moved to northern Minnesota so my winter clothing needs will be different than they were in Central Oregon. Fortunately the home has two extra closets on the main floor. One is the winter coat closet. DH still has his heavy winter stuff from when he grew up here 40 years ago (and it still fits). I did the change over from mostly summery colors and styles into the spare closet last week, as well as shoes. The colors are changing, but I did have to dig out some sandals for last Thursday when it was in the 80's. Great to have Senior Night for Soccer season on a night where it was super pleasant!
Items in drawers were purged to the level that they can live year-round in their spots, thankfully. T-shirts, sweaters, pjs, swimsuits, work-out gear, etc.

I wear most of my warmer temp clothes year round because I’m always hot and Texas doesn’t really have fall, and barely a “winter.” Conversely, I only wear my cold weather clothes for a few months every year, and sometimes not at all. So they definitely get packed away. And I also go through them as they come out and when they go in.

No I don't do that. Luckily my wardrobe is big enough (just!) to fit all of my clothes, so I don't have to make extra work for myself by swapping them out or packing anything away.

Personally, no, although I have & the past & still do this for my kid(s).
I've lived in a 4 season climate my entire life, *but* I've also never been one to accumulate that large of a wardrobe. So I can have a drawer of shorts, and the shorts just live there are year long. Short sleeve blouses & long sleeve blouses hang in the closet all year long. I do toss them into the wash at the top of each season, but I've found with my kids, that even clothing stored in under the bed boxes wind up in the wash once before they go into rotation, so that's no different for us, either way.
I tend to layer in the winter, so with casual clothing, like short sleeve tees, I may very well wear those sometimes even in the coldest months, depending on what I'm doing.
Now, my kids--when they were little, and with my youngest currently, who is still in middle school years, they had less clothing storage as kids, and I never knew when we'd have a time when they may still fit into things the next season or not, so I did store their off season clothing under the bed, always leaving out just a few in case of wacky weather on any given day. Then at the top of each season, we'd try on the stored clothing to see what still fit & wash or donate based on that. And as I said, I still do that with the youngest.
