I have friends who sometimes plan group vacations where several friends join in. For example, they planned a trip to Kentucky to Churchill Downs and the bourbon distilleries, and to Scotland and the scotch distilleries (yes a theme there). I’d like to plan something like this myself. All I can think of is Napa and the wineries, but since I’ve already been there, I’d kind of like to do something different.
Has anyone been to this kind of group trip and might have a suggestion? Doesn’t need to be alcohol related (I’m not even a drinker), just a destination with a few things to do with a group.

For girls trips I’ve done: - Napa - Lake Tahoe - Newport Beach (we stay on the peninsula on the ocean near the ferry and the weekend is full of walks along the boardwalk, walking the islands, shopping on the islands, wine tasting at the house and great food)

Are you looking for more outdoors/active type of trip, or are you open to a city trip with museums, plays, etc? A few that come to mind:
New Orleans (not in the summer!) - lots of history and great food New York - plays & museums, good food Washington DC - history, museums

I think it is really going to depend on the interests of your group. First, figure out your target group, then see what they like to do. From there, a few places will likely come to mind.

Canadian Rockies - fly into Edmonton, drive to Jasper, enjoy Jasper for a bit, drive down the Icefields Parkway to Banff, enjoy Banff for a bit, drive to Calgary and fly home. You can be adventerous and go on easy or difficult hikes. You can just drive your car to a waterfall, lake, whatever and get out and look. Good for people of all levels. The Icefields Parkway drive is spectacular. So many people just come to Banff and never drive the Parkway, or go to Jasper. I'd come in May or September when it's not peak summer season.

A little off the beaten path, but Medellin, Colombia, is a beautiful city with lots to see and do. Great weather all year round. Helps if someone in your group has a little Spanish, but if not, Google translate can get you what you need. Plenty of English-speaking tour guides as well.

Well, Ireland has a lot of distilleries. France or Italy are known for their wine. Or Epernay in France is known for all of its champagne houses.

Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge TN. Moonshine tastings are abundant. Wineries and cider tastings as well. Total tourist town. Tons of things to do. Hike the National park or lots of scenic drives. We love it there. Actually there on vacation right now.. We are only three hours away so we visit frequently.

I’ve been on several girls’ trips to Santa Fe.
The Santa Fe School of Cooking offers great restaurant tours.
The shopping is awesome-lots of fun boutiques. You could spend two full days shopping around the plaza and not see all the shops. Also, strolling down Canyon Road and visiting all the beautiful art galleries is fun, even if you don’t buy anything.
There are many great museums including the ever popular Georgia O’Keeffe Museum.
There are lots of fun day trips. On my last girls’ trip we went rafting. Bandolier is another fun day trip.
There are endless things to do in and around Santa Fe including skiing and the opera. I can’t imagine anyone getting bored.

Alaskan cruise as a possible plan
We saw several groups making the cruise. Each day was a new place to explore.

For girls trips here are a few we have done...most of these are with the same group of girls LOL
Niagara on the lake / Prince Edward County Canada - Lots of wineries. Nashville - SO MUCH FUN!! Belize - This was amazing we did lots of hiking in the rainforest and then 3 beach days on Tobacco Caye Curacao - Loved the snorkeling / sea glass hunting Puerto Rico - seriously so much to do here..LOVED IT..I want to go back. Did 2 nights old san juan / 3 nights culebra / 2 nights Luquillo and hiking in the rain forest. St Lucia - Really liked the snorkeling here. We stayed at an all inclusive...which isn't typical for our group and we much prefer to airbnb and do our own thing.
I am headed to Columbia on another girls trip in November. Girl trips are my therapy!
