I hope this is the true beginning of the unraveling of his “empire”. He has done so much damage.

I hope this is the true beginning of the unraveling of his “empire”. He has done so much damage. I’m past having hope for him having any real consequences at all Even if he looses any of these cases all it will take is to get an appeal to his hand picked SCOTUS and there I have zero hope that they’d hold him accountable

There are not enough lawyers on the earth to deal with all his crimes, not to mention that they won’t get paid and won’t get any new normal clients.m

Ranting on his truth social.... -No jury because TFG requested a bench trial. -I thought I read both sides requested summary judgment.. "I have a Deranged, Trump Hating Judge, who RAILROADED this FAKE CASE through a NYS Court at a speed never seen before, refusing to let it go to the Commercial Division, where it belongs, denying me everything, No Trial, No Jury," the former president complained. "He made up this crazy “KILL TRUMP” decision, assigning insanely low values to properties, despite overwhelming evidence." www.rawstory.com/judge-engoron-trump/

More rant.. An NBC News report outlined how long the judge anticipated the trial to last, which was expected to be three months. Buried in the report was the revelation that Trump's lawyers elected for a "bench trial." It means Trump's team did not ask Judge Arthur Engoron's trial to involve a jury.*** He didn't mention that the reason there is no jury is that his own team did not request one. www.rawstory.com/trump-jury-choice-new-york-trial/

Engoron canceled the organization’s New York business licenses, arranged for an independent receiver to dissolve those businesses, and placed a retired judge into the position of independent monitor to oversee the Trump Organization. This decision will crush the heart of Trump’s businesses, and he issued a long statement attacking it, using all the usual words: “witch hunt,” “Communist,” “Political Lawfare” (ok, I don’t get that one), and “If they can do this to me, they can do this to YOU!” Law professor Jen Taub commented, “It reads better in the original ketchup.” Trump’s lawyers say they are considering an appeal. The rest of the case is due to go to trial early next month. Just curious. Exactly what business is he in.

They say the judge has already made the summary judgement..

Here is the piece about the NY fraud case aj2hall. peasapieDonald Trump's attorneys on Wednesday asked the judge in the former president's New York fraud trial a revealing question: "What's the point?"On Tuesday, Judge Arthur Engoron issued a major ruling concluding that Trump's businesses routinely engaged in fraudulent activity by misstating values on forms for bank loans. The day after, Trump's attorneys were reportedly asking the court exactly what that ruling means and if it's a death sentence for Trump's organization. For his part, Trump has already called the decision a "KILL TRUMP" decision. "But the judge himself isn’t so sure, telling Trump’s lawyers at a hearing Wednesday that he isn’t ready to discuss what the ruling — which strips Trump’s entities of their New York-issued business licenses — will mean for his company and the marquee properties bearing his name," the Associated Press reported. "Judge Arthur Engoron, who will preside over a non-jury trial next week on issues remaining in New York Attorney General Letitia James’ civil lawsuit against Trump, acknowledged that the 'contours of the case (have) changed significantly,' but declined to elaborate on the real-world impacts of his fraud finding." Trump's attorney, Christopher Kise, reportedly pressed the judge to clarify whether Trump must shutter some corporate entities or if he’d be forced to relinquish just about everything. Kise didn't get an answer to that, but he did float the possibility of canceling the rest of the trial, according to AP. "Engoron’s ruling, in a phase of the case known as summary judgment, resolved the key claim in James’ lawsuit, but several others remain. He is to decide on those claims and James’ request for $250 million in penalties at a trial starting Oct. 2, though Trump’s lawyers have asked an appeals court for a delay. A ruling is expected Thursday," it reported. "Kise raised the possibility of canceling the trial altogether since Engoron had already ruled on the biggest issue, asking: 'What’s the point?'"The judge didn't decide to cancel the trial.www.rawstory.com/trump-fraud-trial-2665746341/

It’s probably more cost effective in legal fees to try to appeal this current ruling with hopes of getting to the appeal his hand picked Supreme Court and they’ll somehow ignore his fraud. He knows what he did. He just doesn’t want to be held accountable for it. He isn’t the only rich person to manipulate things like that. If he got an appeal to the SCOTUS, someone who’s done similar shenanigans will take Thomas & Alito on vacation and poof they won’t see the fraud anywhere. There will be some crack pot ruling that will be used a precedent for billionaire to do whatever the fuck they want
They are right, what is the point, this judge has already decided they have committed fraud will any of the rest even matter unless/until he gets that overturned. Then if he does get it overturned it’s party time for all the plutocrats. If it doesn’t get over turned then only Trump pays the consequence.

The appeal has been denied. The fraud trial will proceed Monday Oct 2nd. Donald Trump's attempt to have his civil trial for fraud delayed was rejected by an appeals court Thursday, the Associated Press reported. *** Trump's legal team has argued that Engoron had failed to follow a June order from an appeals court that he narrows the scope of the trial because some charges were outside the statute of limitation, the AP reported. The lawyers challenged his judicial authority, and asked that the trial be delayed until the challenge was resolved. www.rawstory.com/trump-letitia-james-fraud-2665755886/

More bad news for Trump www.nytimes.com/2023/09/28/nyregion/trump-fraud-judge-appeal.htmlAppeals Court Rejects Trump’s Effort to Delay Trial in Fraud Case Former President Donald J. Trump had sued Justice Arthur F. Engoron, aiming to pause a trial that could begin as soon as Monday.
Donald J. Trump’s civil fraud trial over accusations that he inflated the value of his properties by billions of dollars could begin as soon as Monday after a New York appeals court rejected the former president’s attempt to delay it.
The appeals court, in a terse two-page order Thursday, effectively turned aside for now a lawsuit Mr. Trump filed against the trial judge, Arthur F. Engoron. The lawsuit had sought to delay the trial, and ultimately throw out many of the accusations against the former president.
