For the last 2+ months I have been repeatedly getting several bruises on the inside of my right arm. They will heal then a few days later there are new ones and they look horrible. I can't think of anything that I am doing differently. Now I noticed that I have several on my legs as well. I have a physical next week and will bring it up, but has anyone else had this and if so, what helped? Thanks!

Could it be a drug interaction? As an example, an SSRI anti-depressant taken with Ibuprofen can cause bleeding and increased bruising.

Increase your Vitamin C level. I use to bruise easy in my younger days, but try get enough Vitamin C though fruit, daily multi vitamin, but I have recently added C by itself as it appears, I just don't buy that much fruit any more.

I've always bruised easily. I figure I have "delicate" blood veins. Arnicare Gel is very good at helping heal bruises.

I bruise when I have anemia or my thyroid meds need adjusting.

As long as you are seeing you doctor next week, I would not change anything. No new supplements or such. Wait for the doctor and probable lab work.

I agree about the blood work. I have blood work weekly because I have an IV line for tpn. My vitamin k level is horrible, really low, and I bruise a lot.

My thin skin is continually bruised and lacerated, including currently a massive bruise on my ass from falling on the stairs, but it's all caused by Cushing's disease. Are you having any other symptoms?

I have intermittent platelet issues. Sometimes a small cut is a disaster. Or a slight bump gets a big bruise. 10 vials of blood for tons of testing before they would remove my thyroid. No answers. My late mom had the same issue. But I can't take fish oils as they are a mild blood thinner.

Do you carry your purse and tote bag, etc., on your right shoulder? Are you lugging things to kids’ sporting events now that school is in session?

Well I'm on a blood thinner so that's why I bruise super easy. Easy some green veggies, the vitamin k will help thicken the blood and lessen bruising.

Dd and I bruise easily because we both have hEDS. Our perivascular connective tissues and capillaries are very fragile. I could barely bump into something and I get a good size bruise.

This is going to sound weird, but do you wear an underwire bra?
i never noticed it bothering me but after changing bras, they stopped.
maybe it was a constant barely there thing that added up over time.

Please insist on a blood test. My mom died three years ago from AML, and was diagnosed three months earlier with myelodysplastic syndrome. Her only symptom was bruises. The year prior, her doctor had seen something that was a bit strange with her blood test, discussed it with the other doctors in the practice, but they concluded that it was «most likely benign». It wasn’t, and I am still so furious about it.

I typically carry my bags in my left but do sometimes carry grocery bags on my right. But no different than in the past. Right now I also have several large cruises on my legs, one on my stomach and another on my upper arm.

I did email the doctor to let her know in case it affected the blood work that she orders for Monday. Will keep you guys posted.

I’m clumsy AF at times so I never have to wonder how I get mine.

If nothing else it is embarrassing because sometimes the ones on my arm look like grab marks or something. But I have to go to a funeral tomorrow and don’t want to wear a dress now due to the ones on my legs.
