CARDTober #4 - color scheme

Thanks joblackford for the video sneak and the inspiration you took from it. This is a colour combo that really pops and i love how you used the doily and gel pen to add depth

I had a shiny red, silver, and white patterned card stock from my stash that I used for the base of my card. I used Wink of Stella on the matte side of the silver card stock that I used for the die cut 3D bow. The silver card stock had a shimmer.

joblackford thank you for the challenge! I actually bought the Spellbinders advent but I thought Stitchmas was for quilters or something. Now I see it is for cards with some stitching. The example in the video is so pretty. Your card highlights the beauty of this color combo, and how the red pops against the grey and white.

scrapnnana so lovely with all the details, stitched outlines, bow, little red embellisments. So glad you had silver, white and red paper on hand as the basis for such a lovely card.

I was going to do a leaping deer - grey sky, snow covered white trees, red deer - but then we went on errands and I saw a grey sweater with polar bears in scarves and I knew right away that's what I wanted. 

Edited to change the color of the back legs - they were really bugging me. They weren't too bad in regular light, but in the scan they didn't look right.

Ok, I used my Stamptember Festive Flower stamp for this challenge:

This ended up being tan, gray, cream, and red. It's a rainy day. They weren't taken in the best light.

Thanks. I've been slowly making some cards for my son's teachers and different aides. I don't make them often, so I do them on an as needed basis. The only extras I have are a few birthday and thank you cards.
