The peas have donated things to my classroom in the past, so I’m putting this out there for those generous, kindhearted peas who like to help teachers. I have a few boys who are always wiggling in their seat, tipping their chairs back, and falling. One has ADHD, but his dad doesn’t give him his medicine consistently. Other parents haven’t told me their child has a diagnosis, but I highly suspect they may also suffer from this. I’d love to get some of these stools to help these kids, so I created a Donors Choose project. For the next seven days your donation up to $50 will be doubled if you add the code LIFTOFF to your donation. Here is the link for anyone who would like to help: www.donorschoose.org/project/wobble-stools-for-wiggly-kids/7930459/

Just went to make a donation. I can't see where to add the code LIFTOFF during the process. Not sure why but michellegb's donation is not showing up when I click on your link either.... total is still $0. (I'm not accusing you of not sending, Michelle!) When I have donated to other Donors Choose projects, the total rose immediately.

Thank you all! It says there already $120 in donations. I’ve never done a Donors Choose, so this is exciting for me!

There is a message that this is a friends and family prefunding and the donations will be applied once Donors Choose has reviewed and approved the project

Hopefully after a few days of playing around with the chairs - and that means all of the kids having a try, 😉😀 the boys will find a life long love of learning, because a teacher cared enough to address them as individuals and acquire the tools they need to succeed.
Way to go, you!

Thank you again to those who have donated.
Some have said they didn’t see where to enter the code LIFTOFF. It should be on the checkout page.
I’m over halfway there and so excited to see my students use these to control their wiggles.
Library lady, I’ve tried those in the past and they didn’t seem to make a difference. I’m worried about how unsafe tipping chairs back is and the stools have worked well for co-workers.

Here is the link for anyone who would like to help: www.donorschoose.org/project/wobble-stools-for-wiggly-kids/7930459/This makes me almost tear up that they have stools like this. I used to tip my chair back in school and I don’t know where this comes from but the approach I expected to keep wiggly kids from falling back in their chairs was too nail them to the floor (not literally of course) … so maybe chairs that are so heavy you can’t tilt them. This wobbly stool approach feels much more supportive and I can imagine it working out so much more than the preventive approach I guess I’ll call it. I just looked the image up and the name above says uncaged. Feel the tears well up again. Maybe we are taking a different approach these days than when I was in school. It feels really good.

Donated a little. Not sure if I got the code in. But use it for whatever you need.
