Because we are old--we still have 1 of the sauce pans pictured, 1 clock radio, the blender and a box of cocoa that opens like the one in the photo, plus our cars still need 2 keys.
I am amused that the author "can guarantee no one has anymore." hahahahahha!

I remember a lot of those, and I still have some. I have a few pieces of Corning ware and Revere ware that I still use. Those beach and lawn chairs are still sold today. I still have my mom’s metal flour shifter. I remember my aunt had that phone index thingy. I used to play with it at her house. Lol! Thanks for making me feel old. Lol!

It stopped loading after a while but I enjoyed it while I could. Def reminded me of the late 70s! I know people who had those “entertainment centers” in their homes into the 2000s.

Those are things I haven't seen in well over 30 years--more like the 70s, or 80s for those who had to suffer with that crap carpet and paneling longer than should have been legal. What a fun stroll down memory lane!
I have a dollhouse I decorated with as much vintage type stuff as I could find because an old grandpa doll lives there alone. I wish I could get minis of everything posted here for his house.

I was actually surprised how few I knew or had - but the silly one was the needles - anyone who sews still has one of those so confused on what they were thinking there.

I remember all those things except #40. I don't know what that is.
I still have a couple of pieces of Revereware even though they aren't considered the right type for my stove top. They still work. I can top #2 with an even older step stool that converted to an ironing board. It's called a bachelor's bench and mine, which was my grandmother's, is decorative.
If you have any of the blue flower Corning casseroles, those have value. They were the only thing that really sold out of my mother's kitchen at the estate sale. I think they went the first day at the full price.

I have the flour sifter and the electric frying pan which I got as a wedding gift back in 1989. I still use it! 😄

Right? I refuse to believe otherwise. lol But yeah, we had most of those things or my grandmother did or our friends did. My sister still has and uses our mom's blue and white Corningware AND that exact crochet afghan, which originally lived in our family room growing up.

I don't have those but I remember every one of them either in my parents house growing up or at one of my grandparent's homes. Such fun going through those.

What a trip down memory lane. I remember all of those things, I had quite a few of them and still have some today. The makeup mirror, #40, I still have around here somewhere along with the clock radio. My mom had that yellow chair in the kitchen and used a wringer washer until the late 70s. Never had to do my own laundry because no one was allowed near that thing.

We have that step stool/chair thing. We inherited it from DH’s grandfather. We also have the metal flour sifter although ours is pretty new.

We never had any of those things in my parents’ home growing up, much less my home now.
This list is way older than “30 years ago.”
I don’t even know what some of those things are (#17 and 21) and some of them I would not have known what they were if the caption didn’t say (#14, 25, 35, 36, 46, 50).

I have that first alarm clock and I play it every single day in my bathroom and have for 20 years! I plug it in at 6 in morning when I get in shower and it stays on all day. I remember all of those!

This is far more a 1970s list than a 1993 list. Agreed. Had a lot of that stuff growing up down to the kitchen floor

What happened to all the glass grape decor? There were a lot of bunches of grapes in all different colors in the world, and I never see them anywhere anymore. Not that I miss them, it's just one of those strange disappearances.

I believe you wring out the clothes with that thing on the top. #21 - a can opener.

The hand-me-down blender, we had like that one pictured. It died 3 years ago. It was difficult to find a new one with a glass canister that chopped ice like that old one.
I still have the paneling in my basement craft room. Moved in years ago and because the only person spending significant time there is me, so it’s not high on my list to change. I’d rather cast than decorate.
I have a few pieces of hand-me-down Corning ware. Love that stuff!
Got rid of my electric fry an a few years ago. We used it when the kids were young, but it was a cheaply made and we weren’t using it any more.
Most things on that list were in the backdrop of my childhood. Some items not listed, but of the era, and living in my kitchen: a hard boiled egg slicer, a hard boiled egg maker, vintage Pyrex, vintage bank promotion dinnerware, and some stainless steel pots. All were inherited from my grandmother and I can’t image parting with them as they have been a part of my life for 1/2 a century.
I would LOVE to own that kitchen table now.

Goodness, you must not have watched very many movies or television through all your years to not know what all the things you listed. A coffee pot? Wow, that is naive.
I think the list was created years ago and that someone rescurected it and did not give credit to the original creator.

I forgot to say, I have the Revere Ware which I did request as a wedding present in 1995 bc my mom had it in the 70s, she still has and uses it, and I do too. I also have some vintage Pyrex and Corningware but I'm not sure if I have any of the other items. I remember my grandma had that makeup mirror (my mom didn't really wear makeup) and it was fun to play around with the lighting settings.
We were more easily amused then. Loved my Viewmaster (is that what it was called? Drawing a blank)
About the only thing here I never saw in either our house, grandparents' houses, or my in-laws is an actual working wringer washer. That's terrifying. I'd rather beat my laundry on rocks in the river.
My great-grandparents had clusters of fake grapes but they were rubbery plastic, not glass, and I remember plucking a couple off and hiding under the dining room table and making them stick to the insides of my mouth by deflating them (like octopus suckers). I got in trouble and was told I would choke, which made me indignant because I was NOT a baby like my sister. 🤭 I was probably five or six.
I still did it again because my dad wasn't there and he was the only living person I was scared of!

I still have a full set of Revere Ware pots and pans (since I got married in 1978), the Oster blender, the blue and white Corningware, the silver nutcracker/pick set, and while they are now gone, I probably had almost every single of the rest.

I understand that the tin pot could be a coffee or tea pot, but the caption says that contraption next to it makes coffee…I would not have known that is a coffee maker. Considering these are mostly all things from the early 70s, what shows or movies do you think I would have seen with any of these things in them?

I live in a neighborhood with mostly 100+ year old houses. Most of them still have the little telephone niches.
