Hi everyone! I am not doing much of anything at the moment but I do need to take a shower and go to the grocery store at some point today ... it is still below zero outside so I'm not in any hurry! My mum's moving date is quickly approaching ... Wednesday! I managed to sell her dining set and they are picking it up today! I'll be grabbing more boxes for her today ... Molly is going to help her pack tomorrow. I'm hoping the place where she is moving will allow us to do a walk through on Tuesday ... get the keys ... I will be the one there when the movers arrive on Wednesday because my mum will be at the old place ... I'll discuss my job situation tomorrow. This is what I posted on Facebook today ... when I someday visit my international bestie AussieMeg, I will have to be sure to travel to the correct country! I will be getting together with my girlfriend for dinner and Netflix tonight ... we are having a shrimp and pasta recipe ... so good! How is your dh doing today taylortroop? How is your Dad doing today Delta Dawn? Thinking about you still tanya2! What are your plans today? What is on your menu tonight? Have a great Saturday everybody!

Aw, come on leannec. Spill. What's happening at work? Ok, I'll be patient. Your mom's move happend so fast. When does her condo go on the market? Will she have a one bedroom apt? I'm going to the store in a few mins, because I need some ingredients for my first mini cake that will be baked this am and frosted in the late afternoon. I'll be working on my puzzle. Ods is bringing lunch for dh. Dinner will be something smaller. Perhaps he'll have gyoza and steamed rice. Make today a fun today. ((((HUGS)))) to those who need them and happy day to all.

Your mom's move happend so fast. When does her condo go on the market? Will she have a one bedroom apt? Her condo gets listed on Thursday or Friday ... hope it sells quickly and has a quick possession date! She will still have a one bedroom ... the unit is smaller other than the bathroom which is big because it needs to be "accessible". It has lots of cabinets which will be great because she has a cat who believes that nothing should be on the counter She has big windows in the living area that face the front of the building ... perfect for people (and ambulance) watching.

Good Morning Feeling like a lazy day today. I feel like I've had a lot of those. I'm not getting very many hours now that I got transferred as part time. 12-14 hours a week is not cutting it for me. I'm thankful that I at least have something for now but it still stresses me out.
Dinner will be enchiladas with rice and beans.

Hey girls! leannec knowing my luck and my scatterbrain I'd end up in Austria on my way to see AussieMeg. Haha... I'm trying to get Jeremy out the door to the store. I was thinking I'd make apple donuts today. But the longer he stalls, the less likely that is. I am making blueberry muffins on Monday. It's Esther's birthday on Monday and that was her favorite. So it's not like we won't have any homemade sweets soon. Jeremy said he wants meatloaf for dinner. That is all his domain. So he's cooking and I will just be there to eat. I have one last side to crochet to close my border on my blanket. Then it's into the wash and I swear it will be mailed on Monday and it's cutting it pretty close with babys arrival.

DH is doing well today. He didn’t have a great night because his sleep schedule is all messed up so he was awake a lot through the night. He has no pain, which I find so hard to believe looking at the ginormous incision on his chest. He knows his limitations so he’s pretty self sufficient. I did cook him breakfast and make his lunch which is totally out of the norm for me!
Walker is doing so well with DH. We were afraid that he would be crazy dog since he hadn’t seen DH in 4 days. He was so calm and continues to be. He even brings his toys to me even though DH used to play hard with him. He’s a dog, but he knows something is different.
Supper tonight will be spaghetti as per DH’s request.

Just got back from our walk/hike. It was 42 degrees when we started but sunny. Very invigorating! I'm going to buy some salmon for dinner. Raley's sandwich of the month is a meatball hoagie which DH loves and I forgot about. So having salmon means no leftovers for him so I'll get the hoagie for his lunch tomorrow. There are several Netflix movies coming out that look really interesting. DS is going on a Brew Crawl in our old town today ~ lives about 10 minutes away. He's dressing up as Waldo! I can't wait to see pictures. We’ve got a Code 3 response by the broom fleet just in time for the spooktacular Halloween Parade tonight:

leannec - I am sorry to have to break it to you but, but as an Australian who lives less than 2 hours from Salzburg - that meme is 'Fake News'!! A travel insurance company put up a billboard near luggage claim at Salzburg, that said 'Landed in Austria instead of Australia? we can help with all your travel problems (this in very small print), someone took a photo and people actually believed it! I still think it is funny though. Today was a normal Saturday here. Grocery shopping this morning, then after lunch we went out to buy a pumpkin from one of the local roadside stalls. I will carve it tomorrow probably. After that was football - our team played one of the afternoon games. I have to say, between our game Tuesday night and the game today, they are going to give me a heart attack.

Happy Saturday! Our 70 degree weather has departed. The rain came thru last night so it will be in the low 50’s today. We went to a DGS soccer game this morning. His last one for the season. Brought another DGS home with us. He wanted to hang out for awhile and I won’t tell them no. As they get older they are busier with sports and friends so I’m going to hang on to these days. Getting ready to fix some lunch then plan on watching college football. DGD’s are spending the night tonight. leannec I didn’t realize your mom was moving so soon. taylortroop happy to hear DH is feeling good. cadoodlebug salmon is one of my favorite fish to eat. I just wish my body liked it. Dinner is spaghetti.

I'm eager to hear how the cake comes out scrapmaven It was 70s here too yesterday stormsts and in the low 50s today. At least there is sunshine though. And I don't blame you on spending time with DGS. It's like with kids too. They get older and busier and then family time is long past.

There are several Netflix movies coming out that look really interesting. oh, I need some suggestions especially since the actor strike is going on. I just started watching new Amsterdam, which I did not realize was a TV show at one point. Pretty cheesy but mindless to watch so that’s good Not sure what’s for dinner. The sun is shining here and it’s about 60° but in two days it’s going to be 30. So maybe Harper and I will get outside today and do some more E collar training. She’s doing really well with that and I feel OK about using it. It’s not as strong as an invisible fence. And most of the time I don’t even have to use it because she’s smart enough to know it’s around her neck. But I need her to be safe because even though I live out in the country, there are idiots up and down this road speeding.

Hi Diners! Things are going great. The people at the Delta Dawn casa are all doing well. DDIL is doing a course, DS just put on his snow tires and Dad and I are in the kitchen. The sky is amazingly blue and it’s beautiful out. Your questions may be doesn’t it rain on the Wet Coast? Yeah I thought so, too. Climate change in action.
Today Dad and I are going for a walk and we may have company this afternoon, too.
Dinner tonight I hope is fish.

I love wild sockeye!! I buy it frozen at trader joes. and cook in oven in foil. so good.
we are having thai leftovers. I have almost finished packing.
doing laundry.. cool 48 degrees this morning but bright and sunny.. under fire/wind advisory.. fire season never stops in california now.
will be out the door at 4:20 am tomorrow morning. hawaiian airlines changed the flight time long after we booked to way earlier.. thankfully we are only 15 min from the airport.
we got a little earthquake last night.. 3.7.. wobble, then strong jolt.. like someone slamming a big door. centered right under the airport. its been a long time since I felt one.

First, the crockpot- it broke when she went to pull it out to return it. She did send a text with a pic, but it didnt go through. She didnt realize until we were talking last night. She said in the text she was going to order a new one. I told her last night that she doesnt need to do that.
Ds is at a Halloween pub crawl downtown, so dh and I will go get groceries and then pick something up for dinner.

Hello dinner crew! Today has been a productive day. I spent the morning outside raking leaves from my neighbour's tree. I got the strip of grass between our two driveways completely finished, and had just started on the ones that blew onto my front lawn - when another neighbour came over to tell me to stop and that he would come mow them up for me this week. So nice! Then I had arranged for a company to come and clean out my gutters and pressure wash my siding & the outside of the gutters today. They have been here since 11 and I'm hoping they are done soon. It has been taking longer than expected, but in fairness it has been a big job. Although some of that time has been them cleaning up messes they have made along the way. I have a feeling they are going to have to schedule a time to come back to finish. Dinner is out with some friends at The Keg. Checking out the menu to see what to order, I'm not feeling like my usual prime rib. leannec I'm surprised how fast your mom is moving! But better not to drag it out. I hope everything goes smoothly and that her condo sells quickly. jeremysgirl hugs to you this weekend, I'm sure there are lots of feelings with Esther's birthday coming up. taylortroop Im glad to hear your dh is on the mend. Last night we ended up having chinese thanks to the power of suggestion from the dinner crew! Now I'm thinking tomorrow is going to be salmon LOL

@delta Dawn - I'm no expert, but I'd say a visit to primary care to be safe! DH had some symptoms about 8 years ago that were super similar to colon cancer, so he had to get a colonoscopy. Fortunately, no cancer, but it was definitely scary, especially since we were in our 20s!
Today, we went apple picking at the last weekend available for an orchard we like, to the used bookstore, lunch at Cook Out, and then fruitlessly (no pun intended) looked at many stores for a tin lunch box for DH. He's started taking the bus to work, and doesn't want to take his neoprene bag.
We also did the preapproval process so we can show that if we go to look at houses. We got approved for more than we'll ever spend on a house. Insane.
Dinner tonight will be chicken and roasted potatoes.

Today has been a fun day in Ft. Wayne, IN. We visited the cake decorating and candy making store. Silly me, I thought I just needed a couple of things and would just window shop, but no...dropped some serious cash! Then Half Price Books for some clearance magazines and a couple books, and a thrift store that was 50% off everything where I found a tall, smaller scale glass cake plate, a Vera Bradley tote, a big wide binder for work stuff and a necklace. Now we are at Sweetwater music for Nick and we will cap off the day with pizza before heading home. Sending good thoughts to everyone...hoping your work update is a good resolution, leannec.

I was married to a realtor for 24 years and he always had his clients do this ... So many sales fall through because people end up not qualifying ... so disappointing for everyone involved! then fruitlessly (no pun intended) looked at many stores for a tin lunch box for DH. He's started taking the bus to work, and doesn't want to take his neoprene bag. Have you checked Amazon?

Haha... YAY, that would be so much fun! I hope you both end up here one day, accidentally or on purpose. My dad and stepmum brought over some fresh eggs from their chooks yesterday. I made son-in-law eggs for lunch. DSO went out with his work colleagues, so I was home by myself for dinner. I was going to try to make a quiche, but I cheated and cooked a frozen quiche. I know this is a dinner thread, but.... DSO just brought me breakfast in bed (it's 9:30am Sunday morning). Open face croissant with ham, cheese, onion, coriander, and a deconstructed (ie. it fell apart when he took it out of the air fryer!) mac & cheese croquette. And a cappuccino of course.

I joked he should just buy a tackle box at Walmart. I also had to email my dermatologist tonight. I had my appointment on 10/19. She called in 4 prescriptions for me. 3 were ready same day. There was a delay on the 4th. No big deal, as we were out of town a few days this week, so I was going to start everything this coming Monday. Checked CVS' website tonight. "This medication is out of stock and we're not able to get it. Call your pharmacy for options or contact your prescriber for an alternative." Ugh. I gave her the names of a few other pharmacies near me (both chain and independent), so hopefully I can get it from one of them.
