11/13: DONE! It took longer than usual, but I have uploaded everything I have to share from this year's quilt festival. Thanks for looking everyone. Hope you enjoy them and find inspiration in them. ***************** 11/11: I've just added the five major show awards, as well as other categories. There are still some special exhibits to post, including one by Ukraine quilters, one about John Lewis and an O.V. Brantley collective. I hope to have those up in the next day or two. 11/7: I have been adding more photos today and still have at least 10 more categories/exhibits to add. Should be done by Thursday or Friday. I have some other things going so it's taking a bit longer than usual to get them all up. Thanks for your patience and thanks to everyone who has let me know they are enjoying the photos! ******************* Back for another round of International Quilt Festival photos! This year there were 1,065 quilts on display, a bit up from last year I've been told. While I don't have that many photos to share, I'll do my best to cover as many of the categories as possible. Enjoy the show! Please check back over the next few days as I will be adding photos when I have the time. Thanks for the interest! All these miniature quilts were made by Kumiko Frydl. The sizes were not posted but I've checked online and included what few sizes I could find. I'm Still Sane by Kumiko Frydl Emerald Labyrinth by Kumiko Frydl. (18" x 18") Little Beauty by Kumiko Frydl

My Australia by Helen Godden (Canberra, ACT, Australia) Hand painted; free-motion machine quilted Original design "The year 2020 brought so many changes to us all. For me, no teaching, no quilt shows to attend, no retreats, no competition deadlines, and most of all, no travel. I am usually away 100 days a year and chasing my tail to get everything done. Suddenly, that all stopped. I needed a personal challenge. I drew this design in 2018 and planned to create it one day, but when would I ever have the time for such a huge project..."

I'm hoping 2025 will be my year. Do you know that every time I see these pics I think about how badly I want to travel down there and go with you to see them in person? I would love it so much if both of you were able to travel and spend a few days here at the Quilt Festival! Take a class or two, listen to some lectures, absorb the beauty of the quilts and then shop 'til you drop! It's an amazing experience and you would both enjoy it. If either of you gets serious about attending, pm me and I will give you all the tips, tricks and advice I have to share! How unique would that be, a pea meet up at the quilt festival!

So lovely. Such talent.
My mom was a quilter. She hand stitched all the pieces together and then hand quilted. So much love and hard work in each one.
Thank you for sharing.
