this weekend will start the decorating for inside and out. we buy a fresh tree so that doesn't go up until the last week of november.

We have some decorations that stay up all year because it would be way too much work to take down the village. I love what DH made for me, but it will not fit through a doorway, so in the corner it stays. Also, DS hung up a lego wreath last year and I do not touch his lego creations because they will fall apart, and he has not moved it, the stinker.
We get our tree Thanksgiving weekend and then I decorate in earnest.

For me, the first day of fall is when I start mentally preparing. I’ve had such bad holiday seasons since Covid, that this year I started decorating little things right after Halloween.
I would keep the decorations up all year if the family wouldn’t think me crazy.
