I grew up having toasted walnuts in brownies and I miss that so much! But I don’t need to make a batch of brownies that only I will eat. 🙄 My aunt always made huge numbers of those little pecan tarts and sent a tin to us. My favorite! My family often makes half with and half without nuts, is that an option for you? Just throw some on (or push some in) a small portion of it? Toasted nuts make everything better! Every salad and a lot of veggies we eat get sprinkled with toasted nuts. That’s how I would do it too! Make half the pan with, half the pan without. Freeze whatever you won’t immediately eat.

My mom would always make from scratch a German Chocolate Cake or Red Velvet Cake. There was usually pumpkin pie, apple pie and a custard type pie such as chocolate, lemon or coconut. My sister always baked a variety of cookies to include a ginger snap, gumdrop, sugar cookies decorated as turkeys and pumpkins and peanutbutter blossoms. My sister-in-law always bakes pumpkin bread. We never lacked in the carb areas.

Ok all you bakers, please humor me. I need some assistance. I have 'molds' that make hand pies(?) That are in shapes, for me apples, so there is Crust top and bottom. No tin. Should I bake them on cookie sheets or would it be better to bake them on a grid of smaller squares to keep the bottoms from getting too soggy..
Should I brush the pie dough with anything? What's going inside is already cooked, so I only need for the pie crust to be cooked as the contents heat up.. Thanks for suggestions!!

Here’s the chocolate chip kahlua cake recipe. I don’t have the sticky toffee one, I’ll have to get it from my sister. www.recipegirl.com/kahlua-cake/Mini bundts that I have take just over 1/2 cup per cake and bake for 25 min. I butter the pans well and dust with cocoa powder to prevent sticking.

You could make up a batch (or even a half batch) of these pecan tassies. They’re cookies that are like tiny pecan pies. They’re a family favorite here so I always make them at Christmas. They freeze well so any you don’t want to eat right away can be frozen for later or whenever you want a little treat! www.allrecipes.com/recipe/10348/tiny-pecan-tarts/Oh I love those but no one but me would eat them. Bunch of nut-haters in this house. We're doing French Silk pie this year in addition to pumpkin. I don't want to deal with peeling apples. We got this a few years ago and it's the best - makes making apple pies a breeze! www.amazon.com/Victorio-Kitchen-Products-VKP1010-Stainless/dp/B001DLTD1C?th=1

I love Emeril's Luscious Lemon Bars. Shortbready crust, no eggy flavor, limoncello and lots of juice and zest. Really fab lemon flavor. Is that too summerish? I am making cranberry lemonbars.. but now I may need to see how I can add limncello to the bars!

My cheesecake has no eggs Would you share the recipe? DD has an egg allergy but loves cheesecake. Thanks! I do a no-bake cheesecake that is delicious. It's 2 blocks of cream cheese, 3/4 can sweetend condensed milk, splash of vanilla, and juice of 1-2 lemons (depending on the juiciness of them, and flavor). Whip all of that until very smooth and fluffy. Pour into a graham cracker crust, top with cherry pie filling, and refrigerate overnight. Once it sets up, it's so good. Definitely not like a baked one, but it is surprisingly amazing. It's my other half's favorite, so I'll be making that.

I'm doing a pumpkin pecan dump cake to take to my parents' house, but with both pumpkin and pecans, I'm guessing that would be a no. 😂https://shesnotcookin.com/pumpkin-pecan-dump-cake/
