Have any of you used their services? My mom tried to use them back in 2018-19, but said they were too expensive. I’m wanting to find out what service they could provide for my dad, and just how expensive it might be. If it’s not stupid expensive, my brother and my family may be able to help ease that burden.
My mom really needs some time outside of the house, and I don’t want that to all be necessary errands. I want to be able to take her out for some stress relieving outings, but that can’t happen if I’m the one watching dad so she can leave.
If you have used them, if you don’t mind sharing what you thought of the service and the cost, I’d greatly appreciate it. I am going to try calling them by next week, but any information you could provide would be very helpful. Thank you!

We had looked into it for my Uncle in September, but he passed very quickly and we didn't end up using the service.
I thought their pricing was quiet reasonable. It's around $30/hour, they require 3 hours at a time and I think they have a 9-10 hour a week minimum.
The important thing is to understand they aren't there for medical care. They are there to do cooking, light housekeeping, keeping company, etc. I think to give people a break, they are a great value.

He has a PT, OT, someone to bathe him and two nurses twice a week. All we need is for her to have time away from home for errands and other fun things once in a while.

When my mom was dying we used Comfort Keepers. I can't recommend them enough. They were fabulous. They stayed up with mom all night so we could sleep. They were so very kind to mom and were so helpful.

I used to volunteer to do that. There might be some churches around you that have volunteers, too.

We looked into it but at the time it wasn’t cost effective for what we needed. We ended up going with an adult daycare 3x a week for our mom to give my brother a break.

We have a caregiver a few days a week from Visiting Angels, and it is $36/h for a 2-hour visit. I believe they are franchised, so prices may vary depending on where you live. It has worked out well for us, so I can scale back my visits to 2-3 days a week most weeks. It is good for transitional care--take medication, prepare a meal, and light housekeeping--to keep a parent in their own home as long as possible. It is not for nursing care.

We used them for my father in law and were quite pleased. My FIL was very hard to please but they always had a great attitude and did their job well.

I am trying to get DH and his four siblings to look into something like this for their mother. My FIL is 89 and needs a break a couple of times a week. MIL can not be left alone. She has dementia and trouble walking so someone has to stay with her when he goes to the store. No one wants to take the initiative to get the ball rolling. At this point, I am beyond livid with all of them.

Yes. I used them for six months last winter for my aunt. This was in SW WA (Vancouver) and it was $38/hr. We were seeking as close to round the clock care as we could get. Their account managers were good but the actual caregivers were hit or miss. A lot of last minute cancellations that they couldn’t always re-staff so as a family we had to deal. Good luck!
