We learned how folks like/dislike mincemeat.......how about Egg Nog?
We have a dairy store that makes wonderful, delicious egg nog. It was on the shelves when I stopped for milk today.
I had some in Virginia once, and it was not so good.
I sprinkle a little ground nutmeg atop the nog before drinking. I can take it with/without any alcohol.

My teenager especially loves it. He gets all excited in November- he calls it Christmas Milk season. I have a 1/2 gallon in the fridge right now.

I love egg nog - especially homemade. But I’m the only one in our family who does.
I also like fruitcake, but I’ve never made it. Never tried mince pies.

I like it when served as Moose Milk but otherwise not a fan.

I love egg nog. Not sure I've had anything other than store bought egg nog. I have learned that the love/hate of egg nog is right up there with the love/hate of black licorice (which I also like).

Love egg nog. So does DS. And the more generic (ie grocery store brand) the better!

I could drink a half-gallon a week while in season, but oh my word; the calories!!! I'm the only one in my family that likes it and have refreained from buying in for like 5 years or so as I would be the only one gaining all those calories, but heck, I just might by me some this year. lol

I'm not sure I have ever had egg nog. Maybe I should buy some although grocery store would be all I could find around here I'm sure. Would definitely need a little something something in it I think.
Never, ever, ever to fruitcake and mincemeat.

I like the Dairyland egg nog as it was the only brand we ever had here. Then I tried a different brand and didn't care for it at all. So Dairyland or nothing.

I dont think I have ever had eggnog, but there is just something about "egg" in a liquid that squicks me out.

I hated it growing up but learnt to like it as an adult. I don't add alcohol to store-bought egg nog but DS32 made homemade last Christmas - one batch plain and one batch spiked. Both were excellent!

I just tried it for the first time and I'm undecided. It was store-bought though. I just saw the neumighbirhood is having an eggnog tour. Maybe we should sign up and see what they do with it.
It wasn't nearly as gross as I was expecting after all these years.

I like a good quality egg nog. Well, that is drinking a glass of it. My sister puts it in her morning coffee. I was staying with her when she offered to get both of us some coffee. She knows I take mine black no sugar. She brought out two covered travel mugs because we were going outside with the dogs. I took a sip and gagged. I don’t even like any milk of any kind in my coffee and she thought I would appreciate egg nog? She just laughed at me saying I needed to learn to like it when I am at her house. I got my own coffee the next morning.
And my mom made the best fruitcake! I think I have the recipe and will have to try to make it myself. She used a lot of Christmasy spices in hers and both red and green cherries.

Two years in a row I’ve made Alton Brown Aged EggnogSO good. Right away it has a very sharp alcohol taste but after it ages it is smooth and amazing. Las year we only drank about half so it has been resting since then. Can’t wait to try it this year!

My DD makes excellent eggnog, and that’s my favorite. I like the eggnog we get from the grocery store, too.

I said never, but I remember my parents making an alcoholic version of it as a Tom and Jerry. I do remember getting a tiny sip of it and thinking it was amazing. For some reason, I remember it with nutmeg.

I've only had it once. I'm pretty sure it came from the grocery. It had alcohol in it, thank gods, or I might have lost it. It was so oogy thick I was sure I would be stuck with a coating of it in my mouth forever. The alcohol was the only good thing about it.

Ew. ick.
Although, perhaps I've never had really good eggnog? I'd be willing to try it if someone assured me that what I've tried in the past (basically grocery store/TJ's/etc. eggnog) isn't the real thing.
