What desserts are you having for the holidays? We had a change up and now I need to bring a dessert Christmas Eve. What are you making this year?

I'll probably make a chocolate cream roll, apart from the usual cookies.

I’m making a pavlova style platter with small meringues, berries, chocolate sauce, raspberry coulis and whipped cream for dipping. This is courtesy of AllieC if I remember correctly 😊

DH bakes the pies for us. He is making a cherry pie (filling from scratch) and mincemeat.
We are enjoying an apricot and pecan cake this week before Christmas.

I’m on dessert duty for Christmas Day - I’m making individual sticky toffee puddings and individual crème brûlée as well. We will torch the brûlée just before serving and head up the pudding & sauce then as well.

I am making a bread pudding with whiskey sauce. My oldest son and I make the whiskey sauce together every year. He always says, "mom, it needs more whiskey!" Then I say, "Are you sure?" Then we pour more in!!

I don't think I've ever seen anyone serve those here. It's generally cake, pie, or cookies. (But I grew up in the Midwest and I've seen my share of Cool-whip and jello in all sorts of fascinating and horrifying combinations, lol)

I'm making my own version of a black forest trifle. Dark chocolate cake (made with espresso), cherry filling, chocolate mousse instead of pudding or custard, freah whipped cream, and dark chocolate shavings.
We will have that for Christmas Eve dinner and the rest of the holidays will just be whatever goodies I have made (although none decided on rn).

Cheesecake from Costco. I'm not a huge cheesecake fan but I had a slice of this at a party a few weeks ago and I really liked it! I think my family will enjoy it because we never have cheesecake normally. It is plain, but I am going to make a berry sauce to drizzle on top.

@gar you will love it. I prep everything in advance so it's only a matter of plattering it up when you are ready to serve.

Still deciding but I'm leaning toward Coconut Cream Pie. We just had some rich chocolate cookies left from a gathering I attended on Sunday.
