donna was a long time Pea who was taken from us long before her time. Her last scrapbooking effort had been to complete her kids' albums before time ran out. Many Peas, coordinated by jenjie and myboysnme , helped with that project. A Pea we have not heard from in a long while, kiwigirl , set up this challenge to keep Donna's memory alive. So now we honour Donna's memory by getting our own photos onto scrapbook pages while WE have time to do that. Each month we set a challenge to get those photos glued onto pages. And we also have a theme This challenge is open to anyone, but if you are a member of a challenge team looking for points: ONE point for EACH photo you scrap in May, 2023. TEN points for meeting the MAY Donna theme on your project January 2024 DONNA Theme: In honour of New Years, Celebrate the NEW! So often we feel caught up in trying to catch up on scrapping the past. Please take this as your excuse to scrap a recent memory. Scrap about anything that is new to you--a new job, a new baby, a new home, a new friend, a gift you gave or received recently... OR, use some new scrappy supplies, a new scrappy technique. Have fun with this. And don't forget to share your creation in this thread. I hope to get a sample up in the next few days...

Well, I'm not sure if I'll be able to share the book itself, but I hope that getting digital photos scrapped into a digital book counts. I just uploaded an 85 page 7x7" book for printing, with 156 photos from 2023 inside  I send copies of this book with my parents and my aunt, and usually send pdf copies to a couple of friends to look at if they want to see what we've been up to, so I think that meshes with the spirit of this challenge. I'll have to take a look and see if any of the pages I made this month fit the theme of "new"  I will try to share something of the book here, maybe a quick video flip-through when it arrives. I'm also working on a Christmas book that's over 100 pages long. Some of the photos and stories are duplicated in both books but I will try to count up how many more photos are shared in the Christmas book when I get it finalized. |

breetheflea I love that you recorded the outrageous cost of going to the movies these days on your page but it delights me to see that Charlie and the Chocolate Factory stories are still resonating with young people. Love the music notes to support your journaling about the oompa loompa song. grammadee what lovely news to receive and a beautiful page to record the happiness.
