I can’t seem to figure this out. 🤦🏻♀️
I received a package that was suppose to be a small poster for my nephew. The package (plastic bag/envelope) came, it looked like it was never sealed and there was no product in it, just the slips that said this is a gift.
I don’t want to exchange or return, I just want my product and can’t figure out how or what option to use to try and start the process for this. Any help? I have never return or had to dispute an Amazon purchase so I am a total newbie with this process. Thanks for any help.

go to their website don’t use the app. Sign in at the top and it says customer service and your order will come up and there’s something there that says either problem with order or something. Just start there because it’s some point there is an online live chat

Go to your orders, click on the product that you ordered and there should be a button there to start a return. I can’t remember exactly where it is but you can chat online with somebody. This happened to me and they sent me a new one within a couple of days. Thanks I will try again. I tried once, It asked me if I wanted an online chat help and I said yes and that was it. No help, no chat, no nothing…hahaha…thought I obviously didn’t do something right.

Thanks, I think I did it. It seemed strange because there was not exact option and it kept referencing returning original when there is nothing to return. 🤞it works. Thanks again for the help christine58 . I just got an email that I need to return the original product by 2/1? Hopefully they will ship out the replacement without the return as that will never happen. 😄🤞

There might be someplace where you can write that in that it was empty. I’m I’m sure it’ll be fine. Glad I could help

I would go back to the chat and there is usually a response "Did I answer your question" and say no, something else, until they let you "live chat" with a representative. I would explain you got the package without the item, so are you seriously supposed to send back the empty box?

Had the same problem with a Christmas gift, about 3 days before Christmas. Box empty, and it wanted me to return the old (absent) item for a refund. I finally had to use the chat option, although I never actually chatted with a person, it did have the option to report that the box was empty and the item was gone. They said they would refund and I had the option to reorder.
And then, a separate box showed up the very next day with the item in it! I have no idea if it was the original item they somehow found? Or the reorder. It was honestly bizarre.

I would make sure to chat so they don’t expect the item to be returned or they will charge you for it. They make some things easy but other things difficult. I hope you get it fixed.

If so see if there is a phone number on it That’s where I found Amazon’s phone number

I just went to item in my orders and clicked on refund, but I don't know how you would get the item resent.

Someone from Amazon will call you right back have you invoice number ready. Explain the problem and that you don’t have a product to return as the package was empty. They can correct it for you. If you leave it as is and don’t send back the original poster and they have sent a replacement, they will charge you for the replacement and charge you for the first one. Been there done that. Just try again, it does work to have them call

I would use a very simple sentence, like “The package was empty.” Don’t leave any room for misunderstanding on their part.
