I did search this board but I never know how to narrow down my searches, so I got every single thread and post with the word "scale" in it. I did find a few suggestions... one was recommended by Patter (don't remember the brand now) and several other people said they also have it and like it. But it was only $14 on Amazon... I mean, I don't want to spend a lot of money, but on the other hand it's often true that we get what we pay for. So I'm wondering if the link that Patter gave now goes to something else? Anyway, I want just an ordinary digital scale. Nothing fancy...no need for bluetooth or BMI or anything. Just weight. I'd love big numbers so it's easy to read. Our pretty old WW one has started giving us different weights just a few minutes apart. Lol. I am absolutely sure that my Christmas indulgences did not cause me to gain 1.2 pounds between 6:30 this morning and 6:31 this morning. haha I've heard that sometimes when they need a new battery they'll act weirdly. We did change the battery but it's still doing the same thing. What can you recommend?

I like my Etekcity Smart Scale. It does connect to an app, etc., but it’s very simple otherwise and has nice, big numbers. I think I paid about 20 bucks for it at Target.

I have that Renpho scale. I’d recommend it. It does do fancy stuff but I don’t care about that

I don't have a reccomendation as I'm not real happy with mine.
One huge reason is because the weight numbers do fluctuate each time you stand on it in a matter of a minute or two. I also can't seem to stand still enough either as the numbers fluctuate until they get a good number and then lock the weight number in. I can stand there and stand there to the point I get furstrated, step of and start over, then give up after 3 or for tries.
Mine is a Weight Watcher that I bought quite a few years ago at Target. They had 3 to chose from and I chose the better of the 3, so it should have been a good one.

I think mine is a weight watcher one too. I bought it at Costco. I still see them on sale there. It took years before I had to replace the battery. I noticed though that it gives a different result depending where on the floor I place it. I guess our floors are not even.

This is what we have. I use it every day, no issues. I'm not sure I've ever even changed the battery. (in over 6 years) Eat Smart Scale

I have the Renpho also. Paid $23 on Amazon in 2020. Just checked, it has 327,000 reviews! I like that it keeps a history of your weight; I also keep it manually in case it stops working or gives me crazy numbers.

Truthfully I walked into a drugstore that sells home and kitchen stuff and bought 2 black ones. They are great.

I just bought a RENPHO from Amazon as well, it does all the fancy stuff and has bluetooth and connects to an app - it was really easy to set up. I also bought their electronic measuring tape, which connects to the same app and you can take body measurements. I like that you can see graphs of your changes etc. I don't know how accurate the body fat composition etc is, but even if the exact values aren't 100% accurate, it will show the changes as you lose (hopefully) or gain (hopefully not) weight. I really like it.

If you have a renphro or the one top of thread that starts with an e, how do you keep your child weighing himself from changing your chart?
Do any of them work with Noom of MFP?

You have to have your app open. If the difference is a lot, mine asked me if it was me. That was a long time ago, not sure if it still does that. Plus you have to be in your bare feet, no socks or shoes for it to register on the app.

I also have the Renpho scale. It is bluetooth enabled, but you don't have to use it. The numbers are easy to see too.
