Fromm Pork and Applesauce kibble. My boys started on Orijen as puppies then moved to Fromm. We just had one of our dogs pass at almost 17 years old. The other two are 9 and almost 9 (large breed). They are very healthy, and we won't deviate from their great food--Fromm. ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/5645536/images/Q_m8lDOvc_3Le3r1GKdf.jpg) Are you the Pea with the Keeshonden? I was feeding them Fresh Pet but it's become increasingly difficult to get the type they like (the chicken upsets their stomach). Tried Farmers Dog, they hated it, wouldn't eat it. I'm now trying Jinx, they like that so far and it hasn't upset their bellies so we'll see.

I make my own dog food for our 7 year old goldendoodle. She been on Purina Pro Plan, but started to have irregular bowel issues. I did a lot of research on commercial dog foods, and wasn’t liking what I read. I did research on making my own, and it didn’t seem all that hard. I made a recipe that includes ground turkey, brown rice, many fresh veggies and ground egg shells for calcium. I tried adding turmeric, but her face is white and turmeric stained it something awful. I make about 2 weeks worth at a time, portion it in individual servings and freeze it. She loves it, her bowels have been good and I know exactly what she’s eating. Why turmeric? Found a lady who shares raw recipes on YT. Need to research it a little.

Spot & Tango.
It’s all natural, soft “unkibbles”. It’s better on our pup’s aging teeth without going to soft food. They love it!
We chose it over Farmer’s Dog.

Fromm. No matter what keep an eye on food recalls. It seems to happen all too frequently.

Our first pug was a trash machine. The family we got her from fed her mostly table food and any dry dog food. At the end we started her on Royal Canine because it was vet recommened.
Now we have a pug that has stomach issues. I make her a turkey or chicken with rice, veggie's and broth food. Life is just not as stinky with her on this diet.

Because our last one had epilepsy and I remember several places in the house where he had REALLY bad seizures, I haven't been able to get another one. Just broke my heart completely.

My 7 lb Toy Poodle was on Hills Science Diet Small Bites Puppy food which was a chicken and brown rice formula. That is the food the breeder had him on when he came to me so it made sense to leave him on it. The Vet said it was a perfectly fine choice of food.
He's now graduated to adult food and I left him on Hills. It's Small Bites Adult 1-6 years. It's a chicken and barley recipe.
He's never had an issue with his kibble.
When we go to my parents house he eats what their little girl eats which is Blue Buffalo. It's very similar in recipe.

Fromm. No matter what keep an eye on food recalls. It seems to happen all too frequently. You can sign up on the dog food review site and they send an email recall notice to you whenever any food is recalled. www.dogfoodadvisor.com/dog-food-recall-alerts/

I've had my GSD on Farmer's Dog for about 2 years now. He's gone from 110 lbs to 90 lbs and he looks amazing! He's 10 years old now and has a shiny coat, better breath, and no digestive issues.

I used to live next door to a young couple of veterinarian, they only gave pro plan sports to their own dogs and where adamant that it was the best and stress to me that the grain free food I was giving thinking it was the best should only be given to dogs that are allergic to grain. So at their recommendation I switched to pro plan sport and in three days their coat was significantly shinier and their 💩 was smaller ,what’s not to like about that ![](http://i1168.photobucket.com/albums/r481/2peasrefugees/Smilies/2thumbsup.jpg.gif) Harper eats Proplan chicken and rice.

So this is a thing? Husky mix being picky? We have a Catahoula/Husky mix and he goes through stages of not eating. He always had dry kibble. Different brands. I decided to add some canned wet foods a year or so ago just to have different textures. He did better. Then stopped again. I have found dry kibble, added a splash of hot water to get some gravy and then the canned food. But not too much. He balks at a full bowl. I have to remind DH about this all the stinking time. When I make it, he eats. If DH puts too much, he picks at it. But what I feed my puppy...Kirkland Puppy Food. Blue bag with a Husky on it. Small dry kibble. I think it is salmon and something mix. Maybe sweet potato. Not that it mattered. If above mentioned older pup didn't eat, she ran to his bowl if we didn't get it up in time. So we are now transitioning her over to adult food. She is a year old next month. And a mutt. Or a Mountain Cur if you believe her looks and one of our vets. I just call her my 40 pound velco lap dog.

We have two huskies. Our girl will eat anything (and it shows!). Our boy can be a picky bastard (my nickname for him). DH bakes them chicken thighs and mixes it with green beans, sweet potatoes, carrots and sometimes apples. They also get Science Diet kibble, but they usually only eat that if they are starving. They also charge a very large cheese tax, cause we're a cheese family.
Someone I worked with is married to a vet and only ever recommended Science Diet or Royal Canin. Our vet recommends Science Diet.

Our Portuguese water dog was on Blue Buffalo wilderness but I recently switched her to Royal Canine. She has a stubborn UTI 😔
