I do not have a single spot to hang anything in my kitchen. It's open to the LR & DR, with cabinets on the other two sides.
I just have to say of course your DS wants a TV!

Over my coffee bar, I have a small print of Pete the Cat drinking coffee. I have a print of a cat eating a beignet with sugar all over his face hanging on the side of a cabinet. And a print of a cat that I found that looks exactly like my late cat. She was a very unique looking calico Cornish Rex, so it was weird that I found that. All of them came from various trips to New Orleans. I had to hang them on the sides of cabinets because I don’t have much wall space.

A trio of pasta shape prints that we got from a second-hand bookstore in Italy. Although actually we haven't put them back up since we redid the kitchen earlier this year, and I think we might do something different for a while.

Nothing much, no wall space. In my eating area there are two little places where I can hang something... One I have these metal type tree limbs that have a metal circle thing to hold glass candle holders. I got them years ago from that catalog ABC (I think that was the name.. it's changed names.. not even sure that is around anymore) but it was cheap stuff.. I love them still to this day.. and while they were cheap, they are not cheap looking.. The other wall just has some square print on it.. I can't even think of what is on it at the moment. My whole downstairs needs a revamp. Think early 90s Italian'ish phase.

I have a bracket on one side of the door to the mudroom holding two brightly colored pottery plates that DS did in a pottery place when he was little--an excavator and a standard tree, rainbow, sun image.
On the other side is a limited edition print of a dog rescue event in Philadelphia--very simple: a rear view of three dogs with the title Sit Stay Love.
I have a framed print by the artist Sarah Hearns that I got off Etsy, but I can't find an internet presence for her at all now. A sort of pencil sketch, brightly colored watercolor image.
I have a bunch of copper molds nailed to my cabinets.
I'm looking for a small Etsy printable that I can have printed on a canvas and I can lean up again my stove hood.
I would just advise you to think about what you like--forget what's trendy--colors, subjects, style, and spend some time searching. It's so much more meaningful than picking something up at Home Goods. I've been in this house since 1997 and I'm still collecting art.

Forgot - on the square space above the stove hood, I have an artificial green wreath. I love it there.

we have a weirdly high window (my husband bought me a periscope so I can look out of it, That is awesome and definitely a most unusual item to add to a kitchen! May I ask what your view is when looking through the periscope? I'm imagining a rocky, windy Irish coastline!

My kitchen walls are mostly cabinets, one window and multiple doors/doorways. There are six doors/doorways in my kitchen: hallway to garage/mudroom/bathroom/laundry, door to family room, doorway to front hall, door to basement, door to office, patio door to outside. There is one spot to hang something in the dining area of the kitchen and I have a giant black wooden chicken with white polka dots hanging there. I bought it when we lived at our old house where our kitchen was painted white, cream and red. DH had a wild hair to paint that kitchen when I was out of town once and I came home to the bottom half of the walls under the chair rail all painted red. 😳 I saw that chicken at a craft fair I think, and had to have it. It really fit perfectly at the old house which had a more farmhouse feel to the space. Now that we (almost) live in the actual country with working farms in our neighborhood, this kitchen isn’t really designed like that but I hung her up anyway.
Oh, just remembered I have one other thing up on the walls in there. I got some red and white gnome wall decals that I put up on the narrow soffit above the bank of cabinets and sink along one wall. I was initially only going to leave them up during Christmas two years ago since they’re removable, but I liked them so much I just left them there. They make me happy!

Thank you all so much! I see a trend here with people not having much wall space in their kitchen. The area where I have this big wall is where my table is. The cabinets and appliances are on the other side of the room. And since it’s a townhouse I share this wall with my neighbor.
When I was looking on Etsy I was focusing on food related art but after reading this thread I remembered an artist I watch on YouTube. I’ve decided to buy a few of her floral prints (She Walks She Paints). Bonus is she lives in Scotland and I dream of going there. I also have two framed embroidery pieces my grandmother stitched of a blue jay and a cardinal. I think they’ll all go nicely together.
I’m looking forward to posting pictures when my house is complete!
