Ok I'm a little over hearing "if men were"... This is modern times and women have been involved in the industry since at least the 80s if not earlier. OB were designed by a woman.
Certainly if that wheel needed reinventing, there are plenty of opportunities for women to do just that. Have at it, sisters. Such as Diva cups (though I can't imagine trying to use one of those with the crime scene periods fibroids can cause--rinsing it how often? And where? And can it be trusted? Blecch).
And there are options to end periods, or lessen them. We unfortunately don't have biology on our side as we age.

I can confirm that the diva cup is a non-starter with the crime scene period. Might as well not use anything at all.

I said the only thing that would have worked was a sheep. I was teaching and leaving my room was a challenge. A clot the size of a lemon left me sprinting out of the room with a panicked face to my teammate hoping she'd cover for me. She always did. Comparing water to period blood just doesn't work though. I still have to imagine that if men had periods, this would have been a much thought out product. There’s nothing quite like standing in front of a classroom full of kids and feeling that gush and slither, is there? 😂🤢 Haha. And no.

I do think we'll get there, but no, we are still so far behind. I was told by a female dr. that if my husband would do more to help me around the house, I'd be just fine. What? No, he did help me and that type of thinking is just so old fashioned and for a woman to say it was even more shocking. (It was about a female issue that I raised a concern with only 15 years ago.). There might be more women in the industry, but that doesn't mean we are where we should be.
