One of my favorite sites! Good to know. Having a recommendation of a site is great if I am looking for more recipes. sueg have you jumped onto the Recipe Tin Eats (Nagi) bandwagon? She's so popular here. I'd been following her on her website for a while, then she brought out her first cookbook in late 2022. I think every second person got that cookbook for Christmas that year! Knowing what foods you enjoy, I think you'd like her. I also love everything that Marion Grasby makes, as you probably know (I bang on about her so often on the dinner thread! )

AussieMeg I haven't heard of Recipe Tin eats - I'll look her up and have a look. Love, love, love Marion! Several of her recipes are on our regular dinner lineup. Her One Pan gochuchang chicken and rice is awesome. Note to others reading this: gochuchang is Korean chilli paste, and the recipe also uses kimchi - this packs some heat! I also use her Sweet potato okonomyaki recipe as the base for mine - I tend to tweak the vegetable to suit what I have on hand. My biggest 'problem' with her recipes is getting all the ingredients here - We have a couple of decent Asian groceries, but some herbs (Thai basil) are rare, and there's no way I'd find everything to make one of her curry pastes from scratch. I also can't get her sauces and marinades here, but always smuggle a few when I am back to visit.

I have cooked several new dishes already this year. I like to try to do one per week. My son saw this recipe on Tik Tok, and we all loved it, so I have made it twice already this month: Buffalo Chicken Mac & Cheese. All the other new dishes I have made have been from the cookbooks I bought at the restaurant we went to on NYE. The recipes aren't on-line, so I can't post any links: Steamed Red Curry of Prawns Spicy Corn & Coriander Fritters with chilli jam Red Curry Salmon These sound so good. Is the cookbook only sold at the restaurant, or can I get it elsewhere? If it's just at the restaurant, my oldest travels to Melbourne for work often, so I can ask him to get it for me.

I bought the set of two for $88, which might have been a NYE special. These are the two books I bought: Chin Chin - The BookChin Chin - Feed Me I think there's a Chin Chin in Sydney too? I also have two cookbooks from our favourite restaurant Red Spice Road. One was bought from he restaurant, and the other I bought from a bookshop.

Thanks, I have added the gochuchang chicken and rice to my list! I might try it next week, when DD comes over for dinner. I always have gochuchang paste in the fridge, and a back up in the pantry, in case I want to make another of Marion's dishes: Korean Fried Chicken Bao

soupMy family loved this soup and it was so so easy - definitely staying on our cold weather meal rotation. The only thing I would say is that her IP cooking time is way too long. I've been doing 15 minutes for the main time and it could probably do a little less. Five minutes after adding the pasta. I also do a few splashes of hot sauce - it's not spicy at all but enhances flavor. (I've been doing that for any non-Italian recipe that uses canned tomatoes)

Came back to add these cinnamon rolls. I posted last week that I was getting a kitchen aid mixer at long last, and also that I was craving cinnamon rolls. These were the first thing I made with the new mixer. The dough hook worked perfectly and I can’t recommend this recipe enough. The special method they have you use makes a dough that is very easy to roll out and that bakes up super soft and squishy and stays that way! www.kingarthurbaking.com/recipes/perfectly-pillowy-cinnamon-rolls-recipeI added cream cheese to the icing but otherwise made them exactly as shown. Delicious! I will never use another recipe.

I clicked on this link quite a few times and it never took me to a recipe. It takes me to a page in this recipe thread. Can you post the recipe link that will work? I'd love to make this soup.

I'm kinda snobby when it comes to one pot-throw it together meals. I find I don't really like most of them. No judgement, just not for me. That being said, I have a sheet pan dinner that I liked and got requests from the family for. These measurements are approximate. I'm a dumper. If you like more or less whatever you do you. 8-10 boneless skinless chicken thighs 1/4 c lemon juice 1/2 c olive oil 1T salt pepper a crapload of minced garlic -- I use like 8-10 cloves. 2T of dried herbs -- I like italian or oregeno and basil Marinate chicken for 1 hour or so 2 zucchini cubed in larger 2" pieces 2 bell peppers cut in larger pieces 1 onion cut into larger 2" pieces 1/2 C rough chopped kalamata olives A Couple tablespoons Chopped sun dried tomatoes - I've also used a handfull of cherry tomatoes - or both Any other veg you need to use up - I've used green beans, brussel sprouts, kale, spinach, green onions -- you get the picture Toss the veg in a little olive oil, salt and pepper -- spread on baking sheet -- I usually use 2 sheets so they have a little room Nestle in the chicken Pour any leftover marinade over the whole thing Bake 375 for 30 minutes When done sprinkle with a little bit of feta or goat cheese and fresh basil I serve with quick rice or couscous. If you have leftovers, chop up the chicken and veg a little smaller and toss with romaine/greens and any rice or cous cous leftover the next day for an awesome salad.

My son is addicted to cinnamon rolls, but I've only ever made them from a packet mix. I bought a new Kenwood stand mixer a couple of years ago, and I have never used the dough hook. This is the perfect opportunity to try it out.
