I'm about an hour and a half from an airport. Definitely not super convenient but I rarely fly anyway.

I’m exactly 25 minutes from SEATAC and there usually isn’t much traffic on the route. I grew up like 2 hours from a major airport and that was unpleasant.

.. people call me when the plane touches down, then I am there about the time they hit the curb. Yep same here! It's a long taxi to the gates from the runway so when I get the 'I've landed' text, I head out.

I am about 10 - 15 minutes away from our state’s largest airport (which is not large😆).
But to put it into perspective, I often take a back route home when I want to avoid the interstate or some busy roads which takes me right past the airport entrance. And this is probably the quietest part of the drive. 😆

I’m almost two and a half hours from there. GSP is closest at one hour. But we’ve flown out of both depending on the trip. We’ve even driven the three hours to Hartsfield in Atlanta on occasion. An aside to the conversation, Spongemom Scrappants , but have you ever flown out of Asheville? We're same as you, GSP an hour, CLT 2-2.5. But in running prices lately, the Asheville ones have been comparable, and options have been more varied than I would have imagined. Traffic to Asheville is so much better than Charlotte. We have not flown from there but I would definitely consider it. I love that area anyway and I’m happy for any excuse to get up that way.

I'm right under 60 miles from an international Airport, though I will often choose the one that is 100 miles away, but less crowded

I'm 10 minutes from our airport, I can see it from the house but the only place it flies to is a city 4 hours drive away. To fly international it's usually a 2.5 hour drive to a different airport then a flight to another airport then the international flight or a 6/7 hour drive to a different international airport.

We have 2 airports under 45 minutes from us and 1 15 minutes from us: BWI, Dulles, and Reagan. One of the reasons we chose to live here is its access to so many things to do, including easy travel.

Small airport about 40 minutes from me, international airport an hour. I love where I live because I’m extremely rural and secluded but if I want to hit the city (or travel) it’s very convenient.

We’re about 25 minutes from the Minneapolis/St Paul airport. DD can text me when she lands, uses the restroom, gets her luggage and a Starbucks and it’s perfectly timed for me to pick her up.

100 miles from a midsized regional and 300 miles from an international. It’s an all day event to travel anywhere by air 😕

10 minutes--I live down the hill from a small international airport. Sometimes I see people pulling their luggage up my hill.

I voted 1-2 hours because we use Austin Bergstrom all the time. We're also about 20 minutes from Killeen/Ft Hood Regional but we have only used it twice many years ago. There's only one airline left at it (American) and the only place you're going is DFW which I prefer to avoid if possible. And it's expensive. Austin has a surprising number of nonstop flights and it's about 1-1/2 hours from our house using the toll road. It's always our first choice. If we have a super early flight, there's a Courtyard on the toll road fairly close to the airport and we just drive down the night before and stay there.

I'm an hour to SeaTac and half hour to Paine Field. I am also in the flight approach to both airports. They fly directly over my house.

10-15 minutes to the closest one, about 40-45 min to the next closest, and 1 hour to the 3rd closest. Last 2 are international. Charmed life indeed!

San Antonio International is about 45 minutes away without traffic. But we almost never fly so it’s not a big deal to us one way or the other.
I want to know where the pea lives that is 4-5 hours away from an airport!

Local airport that has flights to Vegas, San Diego, LA, San Fran, etc is 15 minutes away.
Next closest is 30 minutes away. That one has international flights.
Then one an hourish away (with LA traffic you just never know lol).

We live about 25 minutes away from Will Rogers Airport which is a regional airport with direct connections to many major cities in the U.S., but there are no international flights out of Will Rogers. When we lived in Texas we were about 25 minutes from IAH and could fly direct to just about anywhere in the world which was nice. I miss being close to an international airport, but it’s not a dealbreaker for me.
Interesting fact:: Oklahoma City has two air ports- Will Rogers Airport and Wiley Post Airport. Will Rogers and Wiley Post both died in the same air plane crash in Alaska. It really doesn’t bother people much in Oklahoma City that both airports are named after men who perished in airplane crashes.

Small airport with limited flights in and out daily. Two hours from a bigger airport. It’s more to fly into our small airport but lots of people do it for convenience.

We're about half an hour from Munich International, which is the second largest airport in Germany and can get me to just about anywhere.
We are also reasonably close (less than 2 hours) to Salzburg, Stuttgart and Nürnberg, which are not as large and mainly serve Europe and a few vacation destinations, like Turkey. I can also get to Frankfurt - largest German airport - in about 3.5 hours by fast train which is another option for international flights.

Will Rogers and Wiley Post both died in the same air plane crash in Alaska. It really doesn’t bother people much in Oklahoma City that both airports are named after men who perished in airplane crashes. Not airports, but Melbourne, Australia has a swimming center named after a former Prime Minister who went swimming in the sea and never came back, presumed drowned but they never found a body.

Yes! Dayton International Airport is 15 min from me. They fly low often times as they are getting ready to land. I use the Flightradar 24 app to see which airline it is and where they're coming from or where they're going. I love it! Dayton is about 25 minutes from me, we are northwest as the plane flies!
