On Prime day last year in July I bought a few things.
I live upstairs and no delivery driver EVER comes to my door, so I have my items delivered to an Amazon locker, do you have these in the USA?
For those who don't know, it's a group of lockers that Amazon deliver to, and they send you a code that you scan, and your locker opens and you collect your parcel. They are avail 24 hrs so usually it's a good option for me & it means I can collect outside of post office times.
A few days after Prime day I get the notification that my parcel has arrived at the locker...(and July is winter here) but I had other plans the next few days in the opposite direction, so I decided I might as well go to the locker straight away, I get there at 8pm at night, in the cold and dark, and enter my code...locker doesn't open.
Tried multiple times, nope... then a screen pops up to say contact customer service...and I call them, and stay on hold for a while they "look into it" He finally comes back to the phone and says that my parcel was damaged and had to be returned, and they will redeliver.
I wait and wait - no redelivery, after 5 days I call again, no-one knows what happened, so I was annoyed and told them to cancel the whole order, which they did and I got a refund.
Today, 6 months later, I get a Facebook message from Victor, who I don't know, he sent me a photo of an Amazon parcel with my name on it, he'd just gone to collect his parcel and his code opened a locker with my parcel in it...but not his!
He looked me up to see if I had also collected a parcel and had got his stuff...but I haven't collected anything from there in a few weeks.
I have so many questions! But mostly I'm wondering if this package has been there for 6 months?
Poor Victor now has to call them and try to find where his stuff is...I hope he has better luck than me and I hope he enjoys my purple Echo pop, fig & vanilla body wash and silicone freezer bags that they will probably tell him to keep
