I'm sorry it isn't necessarily a "unique" flavour but I absolutely LOVE Biscoff. Whether it is the Biscoff biscuits, Biscoff spread or Biscoff ice cream (which I've only seen a few places near me sell). If it is for a parlour, the friend may need to either get permission from Biscoff to call it Biscoff flavour, or give it a new name which should be fine if they make it fresh, themselves rather than ordering it in. I was also going to suggest this. We serve ice cream from a local creamery (my mom’s cousin owns it, so still part of the family!) and they have a Cookie Butter ice cream that’s divine, and always very popular when we have it in the rotation.

There’s a line of ice cream shops, Murphy’s, in Ireland that have excellent local whiskies and gins in their mix. DH’s favorite was Dingle gin and they publish the recipe. Dingle Gin Ice Cream Ingredients - 1 Cardamon pod - 15 Juniper berries - Lemon and orange zest to taste - 130g Sugar - 4 Egg yolks - 240ml Cream - 200ml Milk - 60ml Dingle Gin Method 1. Add the Cardamon, Juniper, Lemon and orange zest to the gin and allow to sit for at least 4 hours. 2. Beat the Sugar and Egg Yolks together until thick and pale yellow. 3. Bring milk to a low simmer 4. Slowly add the milk to the egg/sugar mixture with the mixer running. 5. Pour the mixture into a saucepan and cook, stirring continuously, on low heat until it reaches 65 C. It should coat the back of a spoon. 6. Refrigerate until cold 7. Remove from the fridge pour into an ice cream maker with the cream. 8. Add the gin after about 20 minutes 9. Continue to freeze until the consistency reaches that of soft ice cream 10. Transfer to a container and put in the freezer until hard LOL, I actually had this when we were in Dingle this summer - so good!! Highly recommend! ETA: We also tried the whiskey one and it was good too. The gin one was my fave though.

Dark chocolate and raspberry for me. Baskin Robbins used to carry it about 20 years ago.
Also, a flavor with caramel and potato chips sounds good.

Cranberry. I was at a cranberry museum a few years ago, excited to try cranberry ice cream, and they didn't have any the day I was there... I might have to make my own. DH already suggested this one but it didn't turn out as they had hoped. It's a shame because I think cranberries have become really popular. Pistachio Tiramisu ~~ I had this in Italy. Nutella with hazelnuts crunch is also very good. I think the Nutella one would be a big hit! Pink lemonade sorbet. Lemon ice cream with raspberry coulis. Yum! Love these. So what's spumoni you ask? Spumoni is a layered mix of ice cream in three flavors: chocolate, pistachio, and maraschino cherry. My stepdaughter especially loved this idea! With baseball approaching, how about “Grand Slam” ice cream with a chocolate swirl, some Baby Ruth pieces and roasted peanuts This could be a big hit! YESSSSS! Dark chocolate raspberry or white chocolate raspberry, I’ll eat either. There’s an ice cream shop here that has one with tiny little dark chocolate cups with raspberry filling in them and it’s delicious. I also like a Mounds/ Almond Joy inspired ice cream, something coconut flavored with flaked coconut, dark chocolate chunks or chips, swirls of dark chocolate fudge and maybe slivered almonds for mix ins. Friendly's had an Almond Joy flavor. I used to get it when traveling but sadly we do not have a Friendly's here. DH says he has tried this one before. I want him to try it again! Thanks so much for all the suggestions so far! We will be passing them along and I look forward to trying his experiments.

I have no ice cream flavor suggestions, but I would suggest a good waffle cone as it makes all the difference. I thought all waffle.cones were made with fortune cookie batter because that is all I had growing up. I guess they are not here, but it makes a huge difference in flavor. A local ice cream parlor used to advertise that they made fortune cookie waffle cones and they were delicious. They made other waffle cones from other places taste like cardboard. Also,in New York I had a pretzel waffle cone once. I would love to have that option again.

Raspberry chocolate is always a great combo. What about a peach, plum favor? We could easily go out for ice cream together. Yummy. I love Almond Joy anything. I miss it.

There's an independently own ice cream parlor in our neighborhood which specializes in unique flavors, ice cream and wine or beer pairings, etc. They held a contest for their new flavor of the year, and mine won! I suggested a Rhubarb mojito. It's a rum flavored ice cream with a swirl of rhubarb compote, a touch of mint, and a hint of lime. Others that we suggested: Peanut butter ice cream, swirl of honey, topped with bacon bits (we make this at home and it's a great flavor combo). We also suggested "Sweet Summer Child"-- lemonade sherbet with sugar cookie chunks and topped with pop rocks.

My favourite flavour from the ice cream parlor when I was a tween/teen was frozen pudding - I haven't seen it in years -similar to rum raisin but with more fruits (pineapple, maraschino cherries etc... - basically fruit cake fruit)

I’m so lucky that we have a local ice cream place that normally has about 35-40 flavors of ice cream on any given day. I almost always end up picking the white chocolate raspberry when we go. Their “kid’s cone” is a big waffle cone with easily a pint of ice cream piled in it for $4.95. 😳 There’s another local place at the lake cabin but they usually only have about 12-15 flavors. I almost always get the Coconut Joy when we go there because their choices are the more common ones that kids like (cookie dough, Oreo, Superman, bubblegum). When we go to Coldstone I get Founder’s Favorite which is a sweet cream vanilla flavor with a bunch of stuff mixed in that’s similar to a turtle.

Turtle- caramel and chocolate and pecans This! But, with a chocolate base NOT vanilla. I don't eat vanilla-based ice cream.

Coffee Oreo - years ago we had some at an ice cream shop while on vacation and it was sooooo good. Our favorite combo at home now is a scoop each of Blue Bell's cookies + cream and coffee.
