Well, that just sucks! He's one of my fav throwback artists! I was just singing along to "I Love This Bar" the other day in my Jeep!

I’d met him at big valley jamboree and talked to him in a traffic jam leaving the site. He was a hell of a guy. Sad to see him suffer so. Rip.

Very sad to see this. I saw him a couple times with my parents years ago. I was shocked at the clip they showed of him from not long ago. I truly am not sure I would have recognized him if I didn’t know who it was.

That is so sad. I liked most of his music and I greatly admired his commitment to performing for the military. He was never one of the favorites at the CMA's who always get awards whether they have done anything recently or not so I thought he was unappreciated.

This makes me so sad! We saw him live a few years ago and greatly enjoyed his show.

Aww that makes me sad too. When I loved country, I loved his music! I saw a video of him and he did look sick.

We were supposed to see him in concert, but then COVID hit. They did reschedule and then cancelled, finally got my money back. Sad that I never did get to see him. RIP Toby

Country music has lost a great one, he will be sorely missed. I loved all his songs and was lucky enough to see him in concert, he put on quite a show. RIP Toby.

First thing I heard this morning.. last time he sang on TV at one of the music awards, he was just so skinny and frail.. he joked that "I guess ya'll never thought you would see me so skinny" or something along those lines. He was a peace with dying though. I really loved his music. His first hit was my all time favorite.. Should have been a Cowboy.. then Red Solo Cup brings back some memories of my littlest kid, she was only like 3 years old and would sing Red Solo Cup which was hilarious. Now I wish I had made some effort in seeing him live...

So sad. How Do You Like Me Know is probably one of my favourites. DD22 and I saw him in concert once. Back when music videos were a big thing, DD loved many of his videos.

I was so sad to wake up to this news.
He did so much for his home state of Oklahoma. He was a fixture on the sidelines at OU football games and was a big supporter of the women's softball team. He played many benefit concerts here and invested his money in Oklahoma businesses. He will be greatly missed.

Very sad news. Prayers for his family, friends, and fans, a sad loss for Country music. I greatly admired his dedication to servicemembers.

That's very sad. My youngest was obsessed with his music when she was a little girl. She loved him so much she started calling all male country singers Toby Keith. Now I wonder if she even remembers him.

Isn't he the "boot in yer ass cuz it's the Merican way" guy? Not a fan. But, sorry for his loved ones. I wouldn't wish cancer on anyone.

Don't agree with his politics but I admire his support for service members and I like most of his music. I'm sorry that he battled cancer and I'm sorry for his family and friends that he died at a relatively young age.

Not sure if anyone saw Colbert last night? He was very choked up when talking about Toby Keith, who he considered a friend. He basically said they had very different views on somethings but there was something that also drew them together. I was surprised. I am sure it will be on YouTube somewhere but it was a poignant moment IMO.

That was a great clip from Colbert's show. Thanks for sharing its great message.
One of my high school friends and I are still friends, over 60 years later. She smokes weed, holds a gun licence and loves Donald Trump. I don't do any of those things, but they are things we just don't talk about. We always have a wonderful time together talking about everything else. In spite of our different views on certain things, I consider her one of my best friends.
